“Maddie was great with my dogs. The are older dogs, but one acts like a puppy and the other acts more like middle age. Maddie did great making both of them happy. She sent over tons of pics each visit. She texted me during the visit to tell me how the older one was doing. I'd highly recommend her.”

I am willing to tend to your loved one(s) before work, during my lunch break and after work! I am available weekends as well. Willing to be flexible depending on your schedule and your pet’s needs! When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their familiar environment. I’m also comfortable administering medications, including pills and special feeding. About: I’ve always been the go-to pet sitter in my family—the one my aunts and uncles trust to care for their dogs when they’re away. I’ve been helping out since I was 11, so I’ve had plenty of experience with all kinds of pups, from playful puppies to older, wiser dogs. I’ve also looked after dogs with special needs, like those with anxiety around people or other pets. Taking care of them all has been a joy and a chance to connect with each one’s unique personality! I’m currently in college, but since it’s all online, I’m home almost all the time! My classes don’t take up much of my day, so I’m usually free and totally flexible to come by and hang out with your pups whenever you need. Over the years, I’ve looked after dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, puppies to seniors. Neighbors, friends, and family rely on me regularly because I’m patient, responsible, and truly love what I do. About: My Pet Care Experience Growing up, I had the joy of sharing my life with a variety of pets, each teaching me something unique about responsibility, empathy, and companionship. Over the years, I’ve cared for hamsters, cats, dogs, fish, bunnies, and turtles, and every one of them left a lasting impact on me. As a child, my hamsters taught me patience and attentiveness through their delicate care needs. Feeding them the right diet and cleaning their habitat were my first lessons in responsibility. With dogs and cats, I learned the importance of building trust and providing unconditional love. They showed me how meaningful the bond between humans and animals can be. Bunnies and turtles required different forms of care, from maintaining specific diets to creating environments that matched their natural habitats. These experiences taught me how to adapt and tailor my care to meet the needs of each pet. Even caring for fish required a level of diligence, as maintaining a clean tank and balanced water conditions was essential for their well-being. Now, as an adult, I deeply appreciate how much these experiences shaped my understanding of what it means to care for animals. Pets aren’t just companions; they’re beings that rely on us for their health, happiness, and safety. This realization drives my dedication to providing the best care possible for my current and future pets. Whether it’s ensuring they receive proper nutrition, regular vet check-ups, or just spending quality time with them, I believe that having pets is both a privilege and a commitment. Caring for animals has not only made me more responsible but has also brought immense joy and fulfillment into my life. Pet care is an important part of my daily and weekly routine, and I always make time to ensure pets are happy and healthy. Currently, as a student on vacation, I have plenty of free time during the holidays to dedicate to their care, including playing with them, grooming, and keeping their spaces clean. During the semester, I usually have classes in the mornings, but my afternoons and evenings are free. This gives me a flexible schedule to provide attention, exercise, and care for the pets. I enjoy creating a balance between my responsibilities and spending quality time with them, as I believe this is key to building a strong bond and keeping them content. I am very responsible when it comes to caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s home. I always prioritize building trust with the pet, creating a bond that ensures they feel safe and comfortable with me. The place where I live is fenced and quiet, making it a safe environment for pets. However, I understand that pets often feel more comfortable staying in their own home, surrounded by familiar smells and routines. For this reason, I am more than happy to care for them at their place if that’s preferred. Regardless of the location, I make sure to follow their specific routines, provide plenty of playtime and attention, and ensure their needs are met with love and care.

“Kellie was so wonderful! She was punctual and provided detailed reports of my dog’s walks. I felt very safe leaving my dog in her care.”

“Hazel was very professional and reliable. Great communication and flexibility. Will totally hire her again!”

About: 35+ Five Star Reviews on THS. I love bonding with new pets and making their owners' lives easier with loving care and training. I have been doing pet/house sits across the U.S. and around the world with THS for a few years now and really love it. Pet owners have really appreciated the care and training I provide and it makes me feel good to know that an owner can enjoy their pet even more after some basic behavioral training. I work from home (patent attorney) and make my own schedule. I enjoy playing with pets and going for walks as a work break. I'm very active and enjoy running with dogs and also Onewheeling (hoverboard) with dogs that love to run fast and for long distances. It's great exercise for all of us and the dogs always come back exhausted and ready for nap time. I have an enclosed backyard patio and an extra large doggy door so dogs can come and go as they please. I can also crate dogs that are not house trained and provide frequent potty breaks/walks.

About: I've cared for dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, frogs, parakeets, hamsters, fish and turtles. I volunteered with Guide Dogs for the Blind as a puppy raiser and learned a lot about positive dog training from that experience. I can administer meds (pills, inhaled steroids, subcutaneous fluids) and carry out routine grooming tasks. I have had 4 dogs and 5 cats over my adult years but currently have no pets. I am recently retired and walk about 3-5 miles/day. Miss walking with a dog. I love cats and miss having one around. I am retired and walk 3-5 miles a day so I can easily fit pet care into my weekly routine and I miss walking with a dog. I am very responsible and will follow your instructions and treat your pets (and home if house sitting) with the same care as I would my own. I live on a quiet street in a safe neighborhood and have a fenced yard. I have a cool head in a crisis. I work with one client at a time. If you have two pets, that is ok with me.
“Ulysses was very understanding and helpful when I was trying to figure out the app while teaching and trying to arrange a same day dog walk! Thank you, Ulysses! And most importantly he was great with my 2 big dogs! They both felt instantly comfortable with him, had a great walk and were happy and tired all day afterwards!”

Beyond his natural love for animals, Aiden is a genuinely kind and compassionate person. I would trust him with any of my pets without hesitation. He’s also very knowledgeable about animal welfare in general, which makes him even more capable and reliable when it comes to caring for animals.”

Carrie P.
“If I were a pet I would want Carrie to take care of me. Even before she asked for a testimonial, I had asked her if she would pet sit for me. I’ve known her for over a decade. She was hired by the group I worked for at Stanford. Most people I have worked with over the decades don’t become dear friends, but she did. We always put the work relationship first. She honors her commitments. She is highly empathetic and responsible. You can trust her with your loved one.”

Ashley R.
“Ashley has grown up with dogs. She loves dogs! She has worked with dogs in at the kennel and has helped trained at the Menlo Park Schutzhund Club. She has two German Sheppard’s herself. At the club, she has worked with not only her dogs but also worked and played a lot around puppies. She knows how to handle animals and is very natural around them. As soon as she sees a dog, she becomes very happy and greets them. She gets them to trust her right away. As an individual, she is very loving, caring and respectful. She is extremely responsible and takes care of others. She is “in-tune” with people and with animals. She is very kind and takes into account everyone’s various emotions and feelings. She is in tune with animals in this regard as well. She senses their emotions. Ashley has a very big heart and is one of the nicest people I know. She is also very responsible. An example of this is from the past two summers as she worked as a TA at a theater camp. Each day she came prepared to teach various dances and songs to all of the students. Students really respected her. Ashley is a great compassionate and loving individual. Her ability to connect with people, animals and her work ethic makes her a perfect person to care for pets.”

Owen B.
“Genie and Owen are the Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen of dog sitting. I cannot recommend them enough. Happy (our dog) sometimes gets nervous around new people and she absolutely loved them. They took her on so many adventures and we loved the daily photo updates. Happy is a big dog and a rescue so she's best with people who are patient and Genie and Owen were amazing with her. Happy, who is usually only attached to us, is obsessed with them. She sat by the door and stared after they left, companied by a couple of puppy whimpers only reassuring me that they took amazing care of our girl. On top of that our place was super clean when I returned which was a bonus. HUGE thank you to Genie and Owen. The All-Star team of THS. A couple of legends.”

Victoria S.
“I am always so glad to have Vicky to take care of my cat and know she will be in reliable hands. Vicky has looked after her for several trips over the years, the longest of which was one month. She paid careful attention to my requests about feeding schedule. She was also quite in tune with how my cat was doing, and my normally grumpy cat became affectionate with her too. Vicky kept me posted with photos and let me know what my cat had been up to. I came home to a happy cat!”
