When our own kids were growing up we had two dogs which we adopted as puppies and had the pleasure of having until they passed from old age. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. “Bennett was a wonderful cat-visitor. We gave him a bit of a challenge, trying to get our cat Tony to eat his medication. Bennett had to win Tony's trust first, and that took just a couple of days (note: the medication was not something that would cause serious side-effects if not delivered daily).Before long, Tony was following Bennett around the house and playing with an interactive cat toy with him, and allowing Bennett to pet him. Our second cat, Max, has always been a shy one. Bennett did see him a number of times, but was unable to interact with them. Bennett was definitely organized and timely! He sent photos daily, updated the "meds" situation, was a super litter scooper, etc. Both boys are looking great, no one missed any meals, for sure. We would hire Bennett again, any time we are out of town.”

About: I’m an experienced dog sitter who had just relocated from San Francisco. I regularly watched a dog 3 times a week and can take up to 2 dogs at once. I've helped take care of my parents dog for 8 years since she was a puppy and I take her to the beach, for walks, to play at the dog park, and bathe her regularly. “Pouneh is wonderful! From the beginning, she responded to my messages right away. We did an initial meet and greet at the local park. Nana immediately took to her and her daughters! I knew Nana would be happy and in good hands. Drop off and pick ups: I need to do an early drop off and it’s been super smooth. It’s easy to park in front and get Nana out safely and since we arranged that I send my ETA, Pouneh was already waiting outside ready to take her. Picking her up was also super easy. I texted ETA and she had everything ready with Nana. Again, parking was easy and available in front. Pouneh is very experienced and patient with dogs. She also has extra supplies like bowls, blankets, towels, leashes, etc., making it easier with less things to lug around. Nana looked so relaxed and happy when I picked her up that first day and each day since. I only care for pets who are able to remain in their home environment (housesitting) because I feel that maintaining their usual routines and experience as much as possible when their humans are gone is critical to minimizing their stress. I work remotely as a freelancer, and during housesits, will not leave your pets alone except for essential errands lasting no more than two hours at a time, once a day. (For example, medical or dental appointments, checking on my own home and pets, running errands). For pets who suffer from separation anxiety, I may be able to offer continuous 24/7 coverage but this will need to be discussed. I feel that it's very important that client and sitter are a good fit for each other. While I am happy to work with households containing reactive pets or complex routines such as rotating dogs who do not always get along, I cannot accept jobs involving aggressive animals or those with a bite history. Pre-booking meet and greets are critical to making sure that we are on the same page and that both you and I have an understanding of what your pet's routine should be while you are gone. I provide daily updates via text, email, or messenger, and am available via phone or text 24/7 when you are away. About: I don’t have problem taking caredogs. My friends and family used to relied on me to check in with, feed and play with their pets. I’m currently working part-time and it’s manageable, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups I’m available boarding especially weekdays 7am onwards.
