About: I have grown up my whole life with big dogs in the house, and have been watching (and loving) dogs for around a decade. Whether walking and watching my own, neighbors, or family friends- I have gained a lot of experience over the years. I am comfortable with all breeds, sizes, dogs with disabilities, and puppies over the age of 11 months (including untrained). I have experience with overnight house-sitting for up to 4 animals at a time, and dogs with disabilities (as my eldest dog (Maverick) is blind in one eye). Back when I was in middle school I had two yellow labs: Barney & Zoey, and now have 2 yellow labs Maverick (13) & Indy (4). Since my family has always rescued our dogs, sometimes this can come with dogs from situations that have left them with lasting anxiety or behavioral issues. From this, I have learned so much in regards to building trust with dogs, respecting their boundaries, and establishing a safe and comfortable environment for them. In my free time I am a marathon runner, yoga sculpt instructor, and love to hike- so I am always super hyped for a long walk, and getting my steps in with a furry friend! I am super flexible on last minute bookings on weekends, and am available for drop-ins and house sittings when needed! Currently I am a full time student, but I have availability all weekends, MWF from 9-10am, 11-1pm, and all hours after 3:30pm and flexible on T/Th! I also am available in the early morning from 5-8am for a walk or drop-in for all days. Hi! “Taryn was awesome! We were traveling to Pescadero for the day, with my daughter, son in-law and grandpuppies, but didn't want to leave them in the car while we had lunch and walked the town. Taryn met us at the restaurant and took the dogs to a nearby play area. She was on time, professional, and so caring with the pups. There human mommy was nervous to leave them, but felt comfortable with Taryn. We had a relaxing lunch, and the pooches came back happy and tired! Thanks Taryn for your professionalism, it added so much to our special day.”

“We had Esmeralda visit and feed our two older cats while we were away, coming once a day. This was our first time with Esmeralda and we are happy with the results. She asked good questions during the meet and greet, and she left our home neat and tidy. I left pretty detailed instructions on feeding and garbage disposal and she followed them well. Our cats are very shy, so she did not have a lot of interaction with them. It looks like one of the cats let Esmeralda get near him towards the end of her visits. The one slight criticism I have is that while she checked off the jobs that she did during each visit she did not write a progress report, such as the cats ate all of their food, or Ray let me pet him.”

About: I’m a student looking to help out with some local pet care and housesitting while I'm Stanford student for pet care! home for the summer. I’m vegan, I live alone, and I genuinely love animals and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule right now, so I'm around to keep your pets company, stick to their regular routines, daily walks, and make sure everything is taken care of. I'll always send plenty of photo updates too so you know they're doing great. I've taken care of dogs and cats for family and friends over the last couple of years, so I'm super comfortable handling feedings, walks, and overnight stays! I’m home for the summer and my schedule is incredibly open and flexible right now. Since I don't work a typical 9-to-5, I have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends to hang out with your pets, stick to their routines, and make sure they're taken care of. Safety is the main thing for me. I always double-check locks and gates, follow whatever feeding or walking instructions you leave, and keep a close eye on them. I've watched dogs and cats for family and friends for the past two years, so I know how to keep everything clean and safe.

About: I have been around animals my whole life and I naturally connect with them. I grew up taking care of family pets, friends’ pets, and animals I watched while traveling. I understand how different each animal’s personality is, and I love tuning in to what they need, whether it is play, comfort, structure, or quiet time. About: My experience is primarily with cats and dogs (in particular pit bulls and northern breeds including huskies), and aquariums (fresh, salt and reef), although I am happy to discuss sitting for households that include exotics such as reptiles or small pets. I am comfortable with high medical needs or multi-pet households due to my previous experience with multiple-cat homes and as an owner of two dogs and a cat myself. I only care for pets who are able to remain in their home environment (housesitting) because I feel that maintaining their usual routines and experience as much as possible when their humans are gone is critical to minimizing their stress. I work remotely as a freelancer, and during housesits, will not leave your pets alone except for essential errands lasting no more than two hours at a time, once a day. (For example, medical or dental appointments, checking on my own home and pets, running errands). For pets who suffer from separation anxiety, I may be able to offer continuous 24/7 coverage but this will need to be discussed. I feel that it's very important that client and sitter are a good fit for each other. While I am happy to work with households containing reactive pets or complex routines such as rotating dogs who do not always get along, I cannot accept jobs involving aggressive animals or those with a bite history. Pre-booking meet and greets are critical to making sure that we are on the same page and that both you and I have an understanding of what your pet's routine should be while you are gone. I provide daily updates via text, email, or messenger, and am available via phone or text 24/7 when you are away. For routine inquiries, please be aware that I do not check my messages between 9PM-8AM Pacific time.

About: I’m an experienced two-rescue owner who knows anxious dogs, reactive leashes, meds, and senior-dog care. FYI: I'm allergic to cats, and I do not care for cats, unfortunately! Scout just passed at 13 years. Now, I have my six-breed, 6-year-old pup Gemini. Real patience, not just promised patience, is required with my dog Gem. For example, she doesn't always bring the ball back during fetch, and that's taught me to meet every dog where they are. I say this because that patience and love for Gem is what I bring to caring for all my dogs on Rover. Your dog won't be a job to me.
