“In a word- UNDERSTANDING! Suki is very slow to get to know strangers, and we did not have service for some hours on our vacation, but Alia was understanding and very patient throughout. Alia kept a very close eye on Suki’s health, and I appreciate having someone care for Suki who was attentive and knowledgeable on dogs. We also returned to a sparkling clean apartment which was such a treat. I would definitely hire Alia again!”

“Devin went above and beyond, providing exceptional care for my fur babies while I was away. Their attention to detail and communication skills were top-notch. My cats were happy and well-cared for when I returned home. I will definitely be using their services again in the future.”

“Deborah is great! She keeps me updated while I am gone, so I don't have to worry. She's also super patient with our new rescue dog who is very shy of new people. She takes the time to make sure that he is eating! Thank you so much!!”

“Brittany was awesome with our loving but reactive German Shepherd puppy. She went above and beyond getting her out for walks and sending pics. She left our house in immaculate condition. We will definitely be inviting Brittany back to care for our dog.”

About: Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Allow me to introduce myself: I'm a (mostly) retired nurse & former farmer, offering a homey stay for your dog. I'm experienced with livestock, birds, all sorts of creatures. Your dog will enjoy the ideal location of my comfy home--its sunny decks, and fenced yard-- nearby to beaches, off-leash Quarry Park, and the recreation and coastal paths. You can enjoy your time away, knowing your pooch is having a great time at my place. I'm at home days & evenings, close by to the critters. Semi retired now, I'm able to dedicate myself to a pet-centric life, to the benefit of all. My home is set up for comfort--making the most of this idyllic coastal environment. Low windows at the front allow the dogs to observe those passing on the street. Two sunny decks connect to my fenced yard, providing a secure, relaxed environment. I am steps from the rec & coastal paths, dog-friendly Quarry Park, the harbor & coastal beaches. Enjoy peace of mind during your time away! Your dog will be a valued guest in my pooch-centric home.

“Thiri was great with our high energy puppy Jira and took her to the park a lot, she was very good at sending us updates throughout the day which we really appreciated since it was our first time using Rover. Overall the house was in order when we got back and Jira was happy!”

“Chloe was fantastic with my dog. Chloe was incredibly communicative and easy-going, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. She was very considerate of my dog's puppy behavior, which really eased my worries. She also provided plenty of exercise for my dog. What stood out the most was that Chloe shared notes on what she did and observed during her day with my dog, something no other Rovers have done before. This thoughtful touch made me feel reassured that my dog was in great hands. I would definitely recommend Chloe and book again.”

About: I've taken care of animals of almost every kind for most of my life, both professionally as a Veterinary Technician for 15+ years as well as personally with my own pets, which I've had all my life. I truly love animals and have dedicated my life to helping and caring for them and even plan on attending Vet School. I have fostered countless animals, both dogs and cats, as well as 35 bottle-fed kittens. I have experience with just about every kind of pet and even those that are senior or those with special requirements such as medications, special diets, and subcutaneous fluid and physical therapy. I have a great deal of experience with animal behavior and have worked with many difficult and even aggressive animals. I currently work only part-time, so I will have plenty of time throughout the week and weekends to dedicate to caring for the most precious members of your family! I have done quite a bit of pet sitting work so I am very familiar with this experience. I am extremely respectful when I'm in my client's home and I remain conscious of the fact that it's your pet's home too and I'm respectful of their space as well. I strive to ensure that your pet continues to feel safe and cared for when I'm in their home. I perpetuate a quiet, calming presence which most animals respond to positively. I will do everything in my power to ensure your pet's wellbeing and happiness, while still accomplishing everything that has been asked of me by my client. I will care for your fur babies as if they were my own!

About: I grew up surrounded by animals and I have had dogs and cats as pets all my life. I genuily care for them, for their hapiness and well being. I respect their boudaries and I am mindful for their heatlh. I never skip playtime (including for cats, if they want to, of course), and part of my reward is receiving that wigly-tail and belly-up combo, and I think a purr is the best sound in the world. I am responsible, always on time, and have years of experience sitting pets, including senior dogs. I could do night care, weekends and even some hours during weekdays if close to my location. Really depends on each specific situation, but I am very flexible. I have a fenced area with over 400 sqft for playtime. My neighborhood is very dog friendly and safe, with an off leash park close by if desired. I have also taken dogs in hikes nearby on weekends for longer exercise time.

“Alannah was fantastic! Our skiddish dog takes a long time to warm up to anyone, but Alannah was so patient and kind, agreeing to meet several time before our overnight so Hazel knew her well. She made sure she was loved, exercised and cared for. We even got picture updates. Would highly recommend her and will be using her for future overnights when we travel. Thank you.”

“Ally was amazing. She watched our large dog over the weekend and took care of our apartment. She kept him busy with daily runs and walks and kept our apartment super clean. We already rebooked her for our next trip.”

About: Hello Neighbors! 🐶🐱 I am at home 100% of the time and have 15+ years of experience caring for pets of all kinds, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring extra love and attention. I’m patient, dependable, and attuned to animals' unique needs, ensuring they feel safe and happy while you're away. Whether it’s providing enrichment activities, administering medication, or simply giving endless cuddles, I’m here to treat your pets like they’re my own. My focus is on creating a stress-free experience for both you and your furry family! I am home full time and work part time (fully remote) which gives me the flexibility to provide dedicated care for your pets. I have plenty of time throughout the day for play, walks, and snuggles, and I can adjust my schedule to meet their specific needs. As your sitter and neighbor, I’m here to make sure your pets are happy, healthy, and loved. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. In my home, I ensure a clean, secure, and pet-friendly environment, free of hazards and full of cozy spaces for your pets to relax. I follow your pet’s routine closely, from meals to walks, and always keep a watchful eye to ensure their safety. I keep my friendly floof Eeyore (3yr old Scottish Fold) in a separate, closed area of my home during the entirely of your pet's stay with me to ensure everyone's comfort and safety. In your home, I treat your space with the utmost respect and follow your guidelines to maintain your pet’s comfort and well-being. I communicate regularly to keep you updated, so you always know your furry family member is in good hands. Your pet’s happiness and safety are always my focus.

“Robyn was on time, sent so many great updates and pictures of my fur babies and followed all of my overly baring helicopter mom instructions. She is fun and professional and I will continue to book her to take care of the pups!”

About: I'd describe my personality as reliable, honest and kind. I love working with animals because they are amazing beings that deserve the best care specially when their owners are away. I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, birds, horses and even a snake! I started housesitting and pet sitting while living overseas back in the 80's. I have been housesitting, pet sitting ever since. I am very reliable, detailed oriented, trustworthy and I am a great communicator. In my spare time, I like to watch travel documentaries, spend time with my dog, study languages. I am retired, and have a very flexible schedule. Caring for others pets is very fulfilling, your pets safety and well being is my top priority while you’re away. Animals in my experience do much better living at their own homes than at their caregivers. They have much less stress and anxiety while their family are away.

“John took excellent care of Lucy and the house while house sitting. Sent lots of updates and pictures so I felt I knew exactly how everything was going while I was away. Would absolutely love to have John take care of Lucy the next time we need to go out of town.”

“Fabi took Great care of my dog and cat. Lots of updates and pictures, which I really appreciated.”

“Willy was very happy and got a lot of activity in! House looked great too. Thank you!”

“Vicky is an extraordinary pet sitter. She provided excellent care for my senior dog for two weeks. He is a wonderful 14-year-old who is loving, smart and active but requires a lot of extra care (i.e. he’s deaf, has poor eyesight and requires daily medication to manage back pain). Her daily updates and photos were perfect. She kept his days active and interesting. I could tell he was happy and well cared for. She is a dream sitter and I whole heartedly recommend her.”

“Owen did a fantastic job with our Golden! Plenty of exercise and attention, easily handled his raw meals and slightly complicated feeding schedule. Our house was in spotless condition when we returned and even the sheets were washed. Our pup was very happy and I highly recommend.”

9. GUILHERME P.
“Gui is my go-to whenever I need help with Samantha, my 14-yo senior golden retriever. She’s overweight and needs to exercise more. Besides walking her a few times a week in the neighborhood, he has even taken her for local, slightly longer hikes to help her lose weight and be entertained! He genuinely cares about animal health and well-being. Whenever I have to spend the night out of town, I know I can count on him to take care of her (which includes giving her her meds and applying ointment in her paws). She loves him so much, to the point I am almost jealous! You can trust him, he is very committed and trustworthy.”

“To ensure our pets are well taken care of while we are away, Kellie focuses on creating a stable and loving environment that mimics the comfort of when we are home. She works to understand my pet’s routine that includes regular feeding times and play sessions. This consistency we have seen helps to reduce our pet’s anxiety and keeps their daily life as normal as possible. She also maintains open communication with us, the pet's owners, updating us on our pet’s well-being and any notable behaviors or changes. In addition, she knows how to maintain our pets’ emotional and physical health by providing plenty of affection and attention. She takes note of their likes and dislikes, whether it's their favorite toys or preferred spots for lounging and incorporates these into her sitting activities. By fostering a trusting relationship through patience and care, she aims to ensure that each pet feels safe, loved, and happy until their owner returns. Diane G & Tango”
