About: Hi! I’m Taryn! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet caregiver with a lifelong love for animals — especially rescues. Over the past 13 years, I’ve owned and cared for three very different dogs (a chihuahua, dachshund mix, and shepherd mix), so I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. I’m comfortable adjusting care based on your dog — whether that means a short, gentle walk for a senior pup or a long, active outing to burn energy. I also have hands-on experience with dogs who have leash or food aggression, and I always approach care with patience, awareness, and respect for each dog’s comfort level. As of 6/1/2026 I have a Certificate of Completion from the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid (online) In addition, one of my dogs, Shadow, has seizures, so I’m familiar with staying calm in high-stress situations, monitoring for symptoms, and providing attentive, responsive care when it matters most. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a pet who has extra needs. About: My family and I had dogs, cats, and rabbits. That was before I started living independently, now I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends or neighbors as a favor, and I noticed it brings me value being able to help others with their pets. I'm proactively looking to train dogs, and train cats to live comfortably with other animals (just basic stuff for now) 🤩 I'm currently working in Real Estate most of my work can be done by phone, laptop or videocall. So usually I'm available to take care of your pet at your place, walk your dog outdoors (my place is not available since my landlord doesn't allow pets) and overnights stay 😄 I like to take your dog for a walk/run, also I like being respectful with the neighborhood by picking up your dog's stuff, at home feed them and play around with them to burn energies 💪🏽. About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life and pet sitting for families in my community for years. I grew up with cats, chickens, and very large dogs (mastiffs and shepherds), so I’m extremely comfortable with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. In addition to dog and cat sitting for neighbors, friends, and families throughout the Half Moon Bay, La Honda, and Pescadero areas, I also have professional experience working with animals. For three years I worked with horses in a therapeutic riding program, where I helped care for and rehabilitate former racehorses and support their training to become therapy animals. What sets me apart is how attentive and communicative I am while you’re away. I truly treat the animals I care for like my own, making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. I also love sending photo updates and check-ins so you can relax knowing your pets are happy and well cared for. Caring for your pet fits perfectly into my routine, and I’ll try to keep their routine as familiar as possible. I work almost entirely from home, so I have a schedule that allows me plenty of time during the day for walks, visits, playtime, and check-ins. Because I’ve lived locally in the Bay and coastside all of my life, I’m also familiar with the area and can easily accommodate regular visits or longer stays. I additionally love to take pets out for hikes, shorter walks, and other outtings depending on their energy needs—I love looking after adventurers and home-bodies alike. I’m happy to build my schedule around what works best for your pet. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free for them. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of your space and follow all instructions carefully, from feeding schedules and medications to walk routines and house rules. I can’t lie, I’m a bit of a neat freak! I leave a home better than I found it. I’m attentive on walks, keep pets safely leashed, and make sure gates, doors, and fences are secure and locked upon leaving your home. I also believe communication is paramount while you’re away. I send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel confident they’re in good hands.

She not only respected that—she exceeded every expectation. A big part of my dog’s happiness is her walks, and Kristin took her on long, frequent walks every day. Just as important—if not more—is her feeding routine, which is central to her happiness. She has four main meals per day, plus a small supper and treats in between. I typically combine meals with training and play, and Kristin followed this routine exactly and with great care. Kristin truly engaged with my dog—playing with her both indoors and outdoors, grooming her, and even having her sleep in bed with her at night. She also sent me photos every day, which gave me complete peace of mind. She went above and beyond in ways I did not expect—she even bought my dog a new toy and a bag of treats, which says a lot about how much she genuinely cares. I returned to an exceptionally happy, relaxed, and well-cared-for dog. My dog is very perceptive, and it was immediately clear that she had formed a strong bond with Kristin—they were practically inseparable during the stay. On top of that, the house was left very clean and in perfect condition, with everything exactly as I left it. I would trust Kristin again without hesitation and highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve lived with animals my whole life; at both houses we had at least 3 cats and 3 dogs at a time with the occasional hamster, rat, snake, or rabbit. I’ve adopted most of my pets from shelters, and have helped raised two litters (one was kittens, the other was puppies). Having a wide variety of animals introduced me to a wide array of personality types from friendly and cuddly to moody or shy. These experiences have taught me to have an abundance of patience and understanding, and to be able to adapt to individual needs. The animals I’ve watched/raised/trained have been all different breeds and sizes; from a 3 pound chihuahua to a 85 pound German/Pitt mix. I’ve taken care of older dogs, who need extra care, as well as sick dogs and/or dogs with preexisting conditions who require medications once, twice, or three times a day. Not only have I helped with my animals, but I’ve watched other peoples houses/pets as well. I’m pretty much a homebody, so aside from a couple hours each day, I’m available and flexible and can hangout with your pets for as long as you need. I’m a great communicator too, so if an issue were to arise, I will reach out right away because your pet’s health and well-being is my top priority. I’m currently self-employed, so my schedule is open and flexible. I do prefer a couple of days of notice in advanced, unless it’s an emergency. I will take care of your pet however you need me to. When it comes your pets health and well-being, I know you know what’s best, and I will never disrespect your wants or needs. If you need me to house sit, I will respect your property. I’m very neat, organized, and clean (slightly OCD) so I would never leave a mess.

About: I’ve owned pets all my life. I had a dearly loved dog that I saw through from puppyhood all the way to thirteen years old when she passed from cancer. I’ve had two cats since they were kittens, one of which had hyperthyroidism which required daily treatments. He has since passed away from kidney failure at seventeen. As a team with my sister, we personally trained our dog — and even the cats — using books to learn how to bond with the animals. I’ve not had a conventional job working with animals, but I am my friends’ go-to for pet sitting. I’ve done extended stay pet sitting (ten+ days) involving overnight care. I’ve handled daily medications for cats and dogs and worked on leash training for a friend’s dog as well as house training puppies. I currently live with an elderly cat and three freshwater aquariums. I’m available most days of the week and on weekends. I’m a freelance artist and my work is easy to time manage around. I always clean up after a pet and make sure they have easy access to water at all times. I know how to keep dogs inside a fenced area and keep inside cats from running out the door.
