“Harrison had a great time! He made a new friend and playmate, Louie - a break from his normal, lounge- around-the-house routine. Overall, it was a great experience for my little buddy. Claire was a very attentive host. She sent regular photo updates and kept aware of how Harrison was doing. I would definitely use Claire the next time I'm in Pensacola.”

“Gunnar had a great time with Ashley and Gary. She sent regular updates and pictures/videos which is always appreciated. I would leave Gunnar in her care again and recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Wonderful sitter! Plenty of pics and videos of my dog playing, walking and resting. I felt very comfortable leaving my pup with Sami as she is so sweet and considerate. He had so much fun playing with her little dog! They even went on a nice trail hike together. 🥰”

“Melanie is great. I feel so confident that my dog is being well taken care of and that he's happy and having a good time. She keeps in touch with update emails. I can't say enough good things about her. I'm so happy to find someone I trust to keep my dog when I have to be away.”

“Katie and Tommy have watched Mayonnaise a few times already and they are wonderful! They love Mayo and treat him as if he is part of their family. We appreciate you and your family always and appreciate the flexibility when we had to flex to pick up an additional day because of travel delays. Mayo always has a great time and gets along great with their dog as well :) Thank you!!!”

“I needed a last minute pet sitter due to work hours. Deborah immediately responded and booked. I have never used a pet sitter before. But when I met her, I knew she would talke extra special care of my fur baby! She gave me updates throughout the day which meant a lot to me! Thank you Deborah! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!”

“AMAZING!! She updated me about my puppy every day I was gone on my trip and in every update he was smiling in every picture. He had a great time here and I plan on booking with her again in the future.”

“Laura was wonderful! We are from out of town, so when another Rover cancelled very lastsecon, as we came into town for the Blue Angels, Laura was there, on the spot. Ozzie was relaxed and made himself right at home! She checked in a couple times of day to let me know how he was doing.”

“This was our first time using Rover, as we are very skeptical about leaving our border collie with someone that isn’t family. But Elaine was wonderful in caring for him and sending us updates with pictures and videos. Will definitely be requesting for any future trips!”

“Diana was incredible with our Bella. She went out of her way to make sure she was comfortable, even giving her new toys. I highly recommend Diana to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pets!”

About: I have experience taking care of all sorts of animals all my life. I grew up with lots of dogs and cats. I have watched co-workers and friends dogs through out the years. I know how to give medication, first aid, groom, bathe, walk and read animal behavior. I have trained multiple dogs in my life to follow commands. I am a dog mom, artist, photographer and Navy wife. I would love to walk, play, feed and pet sit your animals. I also have base access. I am very attentive of the safety of your pets. I make sure they are fed, have water, need any medication and are let out frequently. Most importantly make them feel loved with the attention they need.
“Wow! These are some of the nicest people I’ve meet. Our bulldog Cooper felt like home. He played and played and played. They sent us a ton of photos of Cooper. I would highly recommend them 100%.”

“Christine is amazing! I have used her before and have never been disappointed. I would 200% recommend her to care for your furbabies. She was very accommodating when I had to make a change to my booking. She sends pictures and updated and her kids are so sweet.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pensacola
Reagan was amazing. It was our first time boarding our kitten and we were scared but Reagan took all the guesswork work and questioning of this service out of existence. She was attentive, communicated well and didn’t leave us in the dark. We got updates and pictures daily and made this whole process so much easier for first time rover users. She is 10/10. Hopefully we never have to leave our fur baby for an extended period of time again but if we do, Reagan will be our first call.

Stephen took the very best care of our boy, Fred, while we were out of town for a couple weeks! Stephen kept Fred very active, gave us wonderful updates each day about how Fred was doing, and best of all, he gave Fred a happy, peaceful, loving home while we were away. Stephen is the very best, and we know we will use his dogsitting services again.

Claire took our dog Rati on super short notice and when we needed little extra time was totally helpful and willing. My dog is a service dog so my bond with my animal is extreme and so important. So the fact she was willing and able to help was so important to be able to take care of her, which I never do. This was the first time ever using Rover or Claire. So I would recommend both.

Logan was a saving grace. We requested him last minute and within the hour we had our pup dropped off. We had confidence when leaving that our Graham was going to be safe, well cared for, and have a ball playing with Shaggy (Logan’s dog). Logan sent regular updates with pictures and went the extra mile by washing Graham’s bedding before sending home. Wonderful experience. We are grateful and would definitely send our pup back!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
