“We are so blessed to have found Dawn on Rover! Our 6 month old Chihuahua puppy Chili is very needy and such a sweet girl! Our family vacation is coming up in June and to get Chili and Dawn acquainted with each other, I scheduled a play date for a few hours in April and one coming up in May. Dawn made her feel right at home!! Dawn is very kind, and has a gentle personality who appears to love animals and is very patient with Chili! She even sent some pictures with an update on her activities and how she was getting along! She will make our family feel confident on our vacation and we will be able to enjoy our family time with out worry for sure!”

“Laura took exceptional care of my two Pomeranians. She treated them like they were hers and made them feel safe and comfortable. She was always extremely responsive and sent me updates and pictures which I greatly appreciated. She followed their routines & schedules and I could tell they felt right at home. It can be a stressful time to be separated from your fur babies but I was reassured knowing they were in Laura’s care. I cannot recommend her enough and would gladly use her services again!”

“I’m truly grateful for the quick response to care for my sweet puppy. It was our first time using a sitter but I’m so happy that Richard has dogs of his own for my pup to socialize a bit! Knowing this and seeing pics during his stay definitely relieved my anxiety. If you are looking for a reliable sitter for your furry loved one, then choose Richard! 😊”

“Jeily was wonderful! She took such good care of our furbabies; sending continuous updates and adjusting to a change in our schedule. 5 stars A+ sitter! Will definitely be our go to going forward.”

“Katie and Tommy have watched Mayonnaise a few times already and they are wonderful! They love Mayo and treat him as if he is part of their family. We appreciate you and your family always and appreciate the flexibility when we had to flex to pick up an additional day because of travel delays. Mayo always has a great time and gets along great with their dog as well :) Thank you!!!”

“We have a Maltese named Tanner. Sami accepted our request to board him on very short notice. We were able to meet her the night before to ease our anxiety about leaving him with someone new. Tanner seems to have had a very good time. Sami gave him a bath the night before we picked him up. So, we got him back cleaner than we left him. I would recommend Sami for your dog's next boarding.”

“Ashleigh had the perfect setup for keeping pets! Tile floors and outdoor access are perfect. Super friendly and accommodating and good communication. This was my first time to use Ashleigh but look forward to boarding my dogs with her again.”

“It was over a week stay for my puppy, and Deborah did a great job taking care of him! Proactive communication on how he was doing was also good. I think he was a little sad to leave :)”

“We are so happy that we booked with Kemarie! We just moved to the area and don’t know anyone who could babysit the dog, so finding her was amazing! She sent photos throughout our time away and was very communicative, so we felt at ease that our dog was well taken care of! We will definitely be using her next time we need a dog sitter!!!”

Your pet’s happiness, comfort, and safety will always be my priority. 🐶🐾 Since I work from home, I’m able to be with your pet throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I live in a gated, secure community with its own dog park, perfect for playtime and exercise. “Christy was absolutely perfect and Coco loved her. Coco doesn’t get to go outside much because we live in an apartment complex but Christy had a big gated yard so he was able to run as much as he wanted which I am glad he enjoyed. She is very sweet and kind and sent update photos and videos of Coco which I love. And she understood his needs as Coco does have bad anxiety. DEFINITELY BOOKING her again!!!!”

About: Most of my care has been with Dobermans and Great Danes (gentle giants). I have cared for them as puppies all the way to seniors. So am aware of all levels of care needed. Currently unavailable the mornings of Tuesday and Thursday. I am able to take care of your fur baby the rest of the week, or come to your home. I have a large fenced yard and am close to the Hitzman Optimist Park for walks. The couch is fair game for your fur baby. If you prefer I can take your dog for walks at your house or simply "let them out".

“She did a good job and she introduced me to her roommate as well so I got to meet both of them. Fred seemed happy when I picked him up. She did sent photos and messages but not as many as my usual rover person. I enjoy getting lots of communication when he is away. She did always respond when I reached out. I would definitely use her again if the need was there.”

“Ashley was amazing! So grateful she was able to watch our baby Lucy such last minute. She has a great place with a gated front and back yard and plenty of space. Her dog was super sweet, friendly, and playful. She sent so many adorable pics of her during her stay and took such good care of her. We are new to Miami and leaving our baby with someone new was a little scary, so it was such a relief to find someone we trust and feel good to watch her in the future. Definitely book with Ashley, your pet(s) will be in wonderful loving hands and will have a large safe place to feel very comfortable in and a friendly buddy to play with! Thank you Ashley!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pensacola
This was my first time using Rover and I was extremely pleased with Miriah. She sent me daily updates, pictures and videos, and I felt very comfortable that Maggie was well taken care of. When I picked Maggie up, she had a goodie bag for her to take home. I also got home earlier than expected, and Miriah took it upon herself to reach out to Rover to get me some money back. I will definitely be using her again in the future. Extremely satisfied!

Nicole was great to work with. Constant communication from her and I felt my girls were well taken care of and pretty sure they want to go back. She answered super quickly for the initial reservation and I always felt like my girls had her undivided attention. I will be using her again if she will let me.

Benae is the absolute best pet sitter I have ever had!! She is so accommodating to my ever changing schedule. She treated my dog like royalty and spoiled him so much! I felt super comfortable leaving him for long term boarding. She is super communicative and sends lots of updates while he is there. I recommend her 100% and will use her for as long as she allows me too!!!

Stephen took the very best care of our boy, Fred, while we were out of town for a couple weeks! Stephen kept Fred very active, gave us wonderful updates each day about how Fred was doing, and best of all, he gave Fred a happy, peaceful, loving home while we were away. Stephen is the very best, and we know we will use his dogsitting services again.

Claire took our dog Rati on super short notice and when we needed little extra time was totally helpful and willing. My dog is a service dog so my bond with my animal is extreme and so important. So the fact she was willing and able to help was so important to be able to take care of her, which I never do. This was the first time ever using Rover or Claire. So I would recommend both.

Logan was a saving grace. We requested him last minute and within the hour we had our pup dropped off. We had confidence when leaving that our Graham was going to be safe, well cared for, and have a ball playing with Shaggy (Logan’s dog). Logan sent regular updates with pictures and went the extra mile by washing Graham’s bedding before sending home. Wonderful experience. We are grateful and would definitely send our pup back!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
