“Linda was wonderful with my baby Carrot. Carrot is very shy and takes a while to get used to people. Linda was very good with her and Carrot warmed up to her very quickly. I got pictures and daily updates which made me feel better about leaving her. Linda did a great job!”

“I cannot recommend her enough!! Leaving my 9-week-old puppy with someone for the first time made me so nervous, but she completely exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I dropped my puppy off, I felt 100% at ease. She provided constant updates, and photos which meant so much to me and really showed how much she genuinely cares. My puppy had the absolute best time playing with her resident dogs and was so happy, stimulated, and loved the entire stay. Honestly, I don’t even think my puppy wanted to leave! That alone says everything. It’s clear she creates such a safe, fun, and loving environment for the dogs in her care. It is such a relief to have found someone I fully trust, and I will absolutely be booking with her again. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own, she is the one!”

“Thank you, Kelly, for taking such wonderful care of Lucy and for letting her snuggle with you! I appreciate the updates and photos and great communication regarding pick up and drop off!”

“If I could give her 100 stars I would.. She was the best sitter we’ve ever had. My dog loved her the minute he saw her. Majorca kept us updated with tons of pictures. She made sure my dog had a good time even took her with her to run errands and that just show how committed she is to make sure you’re dog feels like home.”

“My dogs were so well taken care of by Ms Benae! She sent tons of pics of them playing, snuggling, and doing fun activities. She even gave them treats and toys. I am so thankful and will be booking with her in the future.”

“Laura is wonderful! Her and Ben are easy to talk to and my pets liked them both right away. Laura gave me updates and sent pictures every day which I looked forward to and made me feel reassured. We feel confident with Laura’s experience and abilities to take care of our babies and will definitely use her in the future.”

“I was able to book a sitter short notice after the one i had booked canceled on me last minute. Everything went great. My dog seemed well cared for. Id recommend using her and would use her again.”

“We have a Maltese named Tanner. Sami accepted our request to board him on very short notice. We were able to meet her the night before to ease our anxiety about leaving him with someone new. Tanner seems to have had a very good time. Sami gave him a bath the night before we picked him up. So, we got him back cleaner than we left him. I would recommend Sami for your dog's next boarding.”

“My 2 pups had the BEST time!!! Miriah sent so many pics and updates with all of the fun they were having. It made me feel at ease being away. We have found our new favorite sitter ❤️”

“This was a short notice and quick stay for our Kiba but Madison made him feel very welcome! She sent pictures and they went on walks to get some of his energy out before bedtime! She was great taking care of our boy”

“Heather was BEYOND amazing with my baby Lady Tremaine. She was so attentive and provided updates with pictures and videos, playtime, walks, all the things. Literally treated my dog like a part of the family and I absolutely love that!! 100000000/10 recommend!!! I will ABSOLUTELY be using Heather in the future for boarding, since now Lady Tremaine and her dog Teddy are now besties lol. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!!”

“Christina took amazing care of my Theo. She was patient with him and took pictures and sent updates often! Theo had soooo much fun running around with her dog Harley. My flight coming home was delayed and Christina was very flexible with the change in pick up time and I cannot thank her enough!! I will 100% be using her again 😊”

“Karina and her husband took great care of our dogs while we had to go out of town. They really treat your pets as if they’re their own! I never had to worry about our babies being well cared for with them! When we unexpectedly ended up having to extend our stay away because of the hurricane, they were so accommodating for us and the dogs. I highly recommend keeping your dogs with Karina if you need someone that’s reliable and loving.”

About: I grew up on my dad’s hobby farm and always had different breeds of dogs to take care of. I trained the dogs to do simple tricks. Sit, stay, shake etc. I work a fully remote job from home. I’m at the house until 6:15pm on a normal day and will come home around 9pm. Not gone for long. I let pets in the house, I have a fenced in back yard and a dog crate for when I need to step out for a little bit.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pace
As always, our two pups loved staying with Katelyn. They always seem so happy and tired out (in a good way, the way that can only be achieved from play or attention all day). She sent us daily updates and overall makes us feel no anxiety over leaving our pups so we can fully enjoy our vacation.

Blaze is our go-to when we go out of time. She is kind, conscientious, and flexible. Our dog loves her! When we had our older dog, she was great about giving medications on time and correctly. I am so extra about our dog and I feel very comfortable leaving her with Blaze!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
