“One of the worst parts about having to move is having to find a new sitter who will take as great care of our dogs as Deke has over the last few years!!! We decided to take advantage of his pick up/ drop off services for their last stay and the pups were ECSTATIC when they saw him in our driveway! They couldn’t wait to leave for their doggy vacation with Deke, which just goes to show that you will have complete peace of mind leaving your furry friend when you book with him. We will miss you very much, Deke! Thank you so so much for all the care and love you’ve shown our dogs!”

“Christy is an amazing dog sitter. She takes great care of my two dogs, and sends updates with pictures. She is always ready to greet them at drop off and she has them ready to go at pickup. She is very reliable.”

“MaryEllen was great! She took amazing care of my dog. She played fetch with him and showed him how to use a doggy door. She sent me pictures and videos of all the fun they had. He loved all the attention and was so relaxed on the long car ride the next day. Highly recommended.”
“Michael was simply awesome! Our sweet Daisy warmed up to him immediately, and made some new friends too! I will use him EVERY TIME I need boarding care. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!”

“100% recommend Abby she was so friendly and understanding. I was in the process of moving from swfl to Texas and Pensacola was my first stop to rest . Abby kept me updated on my fur baby. Also providing photos . She is the best if you need a pet sitter or boarding I would recommend her . Thank you abby”

“Christine was great! Her house is a great environment for a dog! Poppy loved staying with her and cried leaving her house. Christine kept me updated and sent pictures, she was great at communicating. Highly recommend.”

“We had a great experience boarding Maple and Hazel with Dylan! We received daily photos, videos and feedback which helped keep our minds at ease!! One of our pups is blind so we were nervous, but we knew by the photos she was as comfortable and as loved as she would have been at home. We plan on using Dylan again and again!!!”

About: Hi friends! Thanks for taking the time to read my bio. I'm here because I would LOVE to get some steps in with your fur baby! Or just chill and give them back scratches if thats their preference. I love all dogs, no matter their age or breed. Volunteering at shelters has been a hobby of mine since childhood. Ive been a dog walker for Wag! for years but am switching to Rover because the Wag app is terribly glitchy. My most recent adventure has been fostering shelter pups - we currently had a foster fail situation which is how I got my current fur child, Indie. I've always adopted shelter dogs; to include labs, pitbulls, mixed breeds, and now a goldendoodle! I joined Rover in hopes of doing it more because I enjoy helping busy people take care of their precious pups. I'm a FOND believer of spoiling your pets. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my knowledge or experience. :) I'm currently in between jobs and have LOTS of time to love on your precious fur baby. Let's schedule some time together and make some memories! I'm in a 2 bedroom apartment with a friendly goldendoodle to keep your pup company. Our days consist of many walks, and going to the dog park. We have one in the complex but I also enjoy going to the city parks. I am happy to let your baby sleep in the bed with me or I can crate them. Whatever your preference is, let's talk about it.
“We are repeat clients of Andrea. Once again, she and her husband provided excellent service. She kept in close contact thru photos and videos and went above and beyond in working with our finicky eaters. I recommend her highly!”

“Daniel did a great job. He first suggested a meet and greet at the dog park before committing which I really liked. He has two wonderful dogs who got along really well with ours. He took good care of Little Rock. He sent us couple of pictures every day. Always responded in a good timely manner when I texted him. Kept me updated on our dog adjusting and eating manner. And provided more food for LR when he ran out of what we provided. We definitely recommend his services and will be using help again in the future.”

“I cannot recommend her enough!! Leaving my 9-week-old puppy with someone for the first time made me so nervous, but she completely exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I dropped my puppy off, I felt 100% at ease. She provided constant updates, and photos which meant so much to me and really showed how much she genuinely cares. My puppy had the absolute best time playing with her resident dogs and was so happy, stimulated, and loved the entire stay. Honestly, I don’t even think my puppy wanted to leave! That alone says everything. It’s clear she creates such a safe, fun, and loving environment for the dogs in her care. It is such a relief to have found someone I fully trust, and I will absolutely be booking with her again. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own, she is the one!”

“Peggy was great again! This was our second stay with Peggy and she is awesome. My Lottie is an older cat with diabetes and is not the easiest to care for. Peggy just has a way of making Lottie feel at home which makes my time away more relaxed. Thank you, Peggy!”

“Kristin was absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations! We are so thankful she took us last minute and both of my dogs seemed happy and well taken care of when we picked them up!! Will definitely be using her again if she’ll have us!”

“Deborah is very sweet and took good care of our Zoe. She sent us pictures to see she was doing well. We also liked that she limited the number of dogs she took in at a time. I definitely recommend Deborah.”

About: I started working at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo in animal husbandry, then I ended up working at an animal hospital. I have been a veterinary technician for about 6 years. In this time I have gained a lot of medical experience with animals and have learned how to truly care for pets. I am able to care for older animals as well as any fur babies on medicine. I have a dog and a cat myself, so I know how hard it is to leave them to go on vacation. I am here to give your fur babies all the love and comfort so that you can go wherever you need to go without worrying. I am available to take care of your babies at any time of the week. I do have two pups of my own that I may have to go home to let out if staying at your home. If your babies are staying at our home then they will all get plenty of play time and couch naps. I am willing to come by a few times a day to let your animals out to use the bathroom, love on them, and feed them. I am also able to stay at the home if needed. I am willing to take your fur babies on walks if they need the extra exercise as well!

About: I know how it feels to leave your furry family member in someone else’s hands, which is why I provide the same love, attention, and care I would want for my own pets. Your pet’s happiness, comfort, and safety will always be my priority. 🐶🐾 Since I work from home, I’m able to be with your pet throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I can keep a close eye on them, give them plenty of attention and affection, and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. 🐾❤️ Your pet will enjoy a safe, calm, and loving environment. I live in a gated, secure community with its own dog park, perfect for playtime and exercise. I also enjoy walking around the community with my own dog, giving your pup plenty of fresh air, movement, and companionship. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine and provide lots of love, attention, and care throughout the day. 🐾❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
