“Kristine was fantastic… my dogs loved her & she took excellent care of them. She was prompt, professional & courteous. Kristine is at the top of my list for a pet sitter in my home.”

“Jana did great with Arnold and Winnie, she sent photos periodically and made us comfortable that they were happy and well cared for. We will definitely use Jana again!!”

About: I have owned dogs for over 10 years. I own a bunny, and I care for my animals, and walk my dog everyday. My dogs have been my world since I was born. I love animals, I will take care of your dogs like they are my own. I do full time college online, from home. I can be very flexible for times. I will be able to dog sit most of the time. We have a fenced in backyard. I feed, walk, and let out our dog everyday. I enjoy playing with my dog everyday! I love animals very much.

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for animals through pet sitting, overnight stays, dog walking, farm sitting, and veterinary care experience. I have cared for pets with a wide range of needs and am comfortable caring for anything from one pet to households with five or more dogs at a time. My experience includes feeding, walking, bathing, brushing, hand-feeding when needed, and administering medications according to an owner’s instructions. My veterinary care experience has also helped me become comfortable with pets who may need a little extra attention or a more specific care routine. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets and your home. I make it a priority to follow each owner’s instructions closely and keep pets as comfortable and consistent with their normal routine as possible. Whether your pet needs walks and playtime, lots of attention, or simply someone dependable to keep them company while you’re away, I’m happy to provide care based on their individual needs. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday, with my work hours falling between approximately 8 AM and 6 PM depending on the day. My schedule varies from week to week, but I am still very flexible with pet care and am happy to work with you to find times that fit your pet’s routine. I am available for walks, drop-in visits, recurring care, and house sitting. For house sitting, I am happy to stay overnight and care for your pets before and after work, as long as they are comfortable being home during my work hours. I am also available on weekends and will always be upfront about my schedule so we can make sure your pet receives the care and attention they need. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person caring for your pet. I treat every animal and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, potty routines, and any special care needs. I have experience administering medications, hand-feeding when needed, and caring for pets with different routines and needs. Safety is always a priority, so I am careful with doors, gates, leashes, and any specific instructions you provide. I also love sending photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, and being well cared for.
About: I've had pets growing up and my own as an adult. I was taught pets are Family and that is how I care for my own, and other people's, pets. I can walk, clean up after, feed, and give medication to dogs. I've raised dogs from puppy through senior age and the peaceful passing on from this world. I work remotely, and make my own schedule, so I have a lot of flexibility to care for your fur baby. Walks, feeding, or sitting that works around whatever your schedule is. I live in a pet friendly apartment complex that has a fenced dog park and plenty of space to walk. I have a pet friendly apartment with a cat of my own currently. She's been around dogs and cats her entire life. Let me know your pets preferences and I'll accommodate to keep them comfortable and happy while you're away.
“Michelle has been our preferred dog sitter for a few years now! On our most recent trip, our dog (who is diabetic) decided to not eat for 24 hours. Michelle went above and beyond by buying wet food, boiling chicken, and giving us frequent updates to ease our stress as much as possible. She cares for our pup like he is her own and we couldn’t thank her enough!”

“Caitlin was a fantastic dog sitter! My husband and I went out of town for a week, and she home sat for our two dogs. She sent lots of photos throughout the week and let us know how they were doing. Our dogs loved her and she took great care of them and the house while we were away. She even vacuumed up which was so thoughtful. Absolutely recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is I go above and beyond, always. Anything you need I am here for it. From medications, to multiple visitations, and lots of pictures and videos everyday! I don’t have children so my animals mean all of the world to me, as does every animal I meet. Especially yours. I know it’s hard to leave them, but I assure you I’ll make it easy. You can depend on me! This is all I do, so I am very open to your dates and needs for that time. Pet sitting is my priority always! I do send pictures and videos, also location check ins from me to ensure I am there and your ability to relax and enjoy your time away is at a 10! I am here for exactly what you and your pet need, my dogs have their own routine as well as bedrooms. I understand specific needs, and can fit myself into whatever routine you prefer.
About: I’ve never *not* had an animal in my care. My best friends growing up were a German Shepherd and a Golden Retriever. Since then I’ve had friends of all shapes and sizes, from the smallest teacup sized cats to dogs that weighed more than I did. My whole life has inspired me to pursue a Veterinary Medicine degree, so my knowledge concerning pets has grown exponentially the last few years. I know pets are a vital part of the family, and I can assure you I’ll take care of them like I would my own. My day to day changes often! I’m currently a part time student and a part time employee, but both of my schedules allow lots of flexibility! In my clients homes I want to meet whatever expectations you might have of me. I would never want my clients to feel unsatisfied or disrupt the routines of your pets. In my own home we like to spend a lot of time outside. Whether it’s going on walks or out and about in town, lots of time is spent in the sun. We have a local dog park nearby and I am an avid user of SniffSpot. That’s not your pets vibe? Thats totally cool with me! We can spend our days cuddling on the couch and binging a new TV show.
About: I have had pets all my life. I've always been compassionate and loved having my pets. I will love your furbabies as if they are mine! Evenings and weekends for now. Soon my schedule will change and I will have more time to devote to pet sitting. I am looking forward to my near future. My furbabies are indoors all of the time. We enjoy time outside together. I have a fenced yard. They are little people in fur coats.
About: I’ve always had a special place in my heart for animals. I have a love for big and small! Ever since I was 11 years old and received my very own fur baby our house has never been empty of one. We treat our animals like they are family and I will care for yours the same way! I an a SAHM so I am mostly free! Just have to pick up our son from school around 2:30 in the afternoons but other than that I am available! We just recently lost our 9 year old German shepherd so I know and am comfortable with senior dogs! We now just have our Siberian husky Myia who is our old lady lol I will take care of your animals with love as I do with mine and also play with them!

About: I have worked Animal Rescue, Fostering, Rehabilitation, and Adoptions the last 6 years! I understand pet parents, can easily follow instructions, and will stay alert to your pet needs! I will value your pet as I would my own! I currently work remotely, so I am extremely flexible. If not house sitting, I can make as many or little stops at your house as needed. I prefer to not board animals at my home. I do not have a fenced in yard, so it is not very suitable for a dog.
About: I am an active 57 year old woman who has owned both cats and dogs over the years among other types of animals. Just ask! I don’t have any animals at the moment because of where I live but do have lots of neighbors with animals. I also have relatives with animals that have meant a lot to me. The animals in my area are friendly and there is space inside to lay or play and outside for them to walk. I will watch in your place as little or as long as u prefer. But prefer yours as animals are always more behaved at home and it makes them feel happy to be in their own space. My son is grown and gone and we have loved and had many animals that have either passed. I believe animals can bring a smile to anyone’s face. I love them as my own and all animals tend to like me. I give regular updates and pics and very communicative to make you feel better about leaving your baby with a stranger. I work part time doing uber and Lyft at the time and have some time on my hands, can take off when needed. I would love to share some of my time with an amazing dog or cat. Or even a few of them. Have a great day! I thank you for your time and hope to be meeting you soon! Feel free to ask me anything. I currently work a few days a week delivering for door dash. I have plenty of time to take pets outside when needed for a walk or give plenty of attention when needed. I prefer will watch in your home. I live in apt complex that has plenty of room to roam. 3/2 and it’s only me that lives here now. I have had roommates that had dogs previously but none right now and don’t plan to change that. They can lounge on couches or run around the apt as there is nothing breakable.

About: Hi friends! Thanks for taking the time to read my bio. I'm here because I would LOVE to get some steps in with your fur baby! Or just chill and give them back scratches if thats their preference. I love all dogs, no matter their age or breed. Volunteering at shelters has been a hobby of mine since childhood. Ive been a dog walker for Wag! for years but am switching to Rover because the Wag app is terribly glitchy. My most recent adventure has been fostering shelter pups - we currently had a foster fail situation which is how I got my current fur child, Indie. I've always adopted shelter dogs; to include labs, pitbulls, mixed breeds, and now a goldendoodle! I joined Rover in hopes of doing it more because I enjoy helping busy people take care of their precious pups. I'm a FOND believer of spoiling your pets. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my knowledge or experience. :) I'm currently in between jobs and have LOTS of time to love on your precious fur baby. Let's schedule some time together and make some memories! I'm in a 2 bedroom apartment with a friendly goldendoodle to keep your pup company. Our days consist of many walks, and going to the dog park. We have one in the complex but I also enjoy going to the city parks. I am happy to let your baby sleep in the bed with me or I can crate them. Whatever your preference is, let's talk about it.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Perdido Key walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Perdido Key maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Perdido Key choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
