“Christina and Gabe have been lifesavers over the past year! We could not be more grateful for their great communication, flexibility, and generosity while taking care of our pup. Whether it’s a daycare visit, or boarding, they treat your animals like family.”

“Dog owners! If you want a peace of mind and a wonderful, loving experience for your dog, Cheryl is the best person for your baby. Cheryl sent pictures all day, kept me abreast of Tootie's day, and provided delicious treats. Tootie was happy when I picked him up. That is important! Thank you Cheryl for loving my baby!”

“Josie Lu had a good stay with Fiona and her canine kid. This was her first time staying in someone else’s home and not a big daycare facility. I felt comfortable leaving her as she warmed up immediately to Fiona. Good stay and would recommend Fiona.”

“Elaine was incredible! She accommodated us on very short notice, even on the Friday of the long weekend. Everything about our experience with her, was perfect. She sent us pictures & updates too. We are very grateful for all of her help. I would 1000% recommend her services! Thank you so much. 😊🌞”

“Sydney is great! So thankful to have found someone I can trust and that Romeo loves to spend the day with! Great experience! Sends me updates and photos through out the day as well.”

About: Hi! I'm Suzanne, a lifelong dog lover and owner of a friendly boxer. I work from home full-time, which means your dog will receive plenty of attention, outdoor breaks, and companionship throughout the day. Unlike large daycare facilities, I keep things small and personal. I typically care for only one family of dogs at a time so your pet can enjoy a calm, stress-free environment with individualized attention. We have a secure fenced yard and spend lots of time outdoors. For dogs that enjoy the water, supervised swimming may also be available with owner approval. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your dog with someone new, so I provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you're away. My goal is simple: I want your dog to feel like they're on vacation too! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home. This allows me to provide regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of attention throughout the day. We have a fenced yard and enjoy spending time outdoors, giving dogs plenty of opportunities to explore, play, and relax. Whether your dog is energetic or prefers a quieter environment, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. For local daycare clients in the Perdido Key and Innerarity area, pickup and drop-off may be available depending on scheduling and distance. Safety is my top priority. I only care for one dog at a time, which allows me to give each pup calm, focused supervision throughout the day. I live on Innerarity Point in a quiet community with designated dog‑friendly areas for safe potty breaks. I never leave dogs unattended, and I tailor their routine to whatever makes them feel secure and comfortable. Whether your pup prefers walks, playtime, or relaxing by my side, they’ll always be in a safe, loving environment.
About: I am an active 56 year old woman who has owned both cats and dogs over the years among other types of animals. Just ask! I don’t have any animals at the moment because of where I live but do have lots of neighbors with animals. I also have relatives with animals that have meant a lot to me. The animals in my area are friendly and there is space inside to lay or play and outside for them to walk. I will watch in my place or yours. But prefer yours as animals are always more behaved at home and it makes them feel happy to be in their own space. My son is grown and gone and we have loved and had many animals that have either passed. I believe animals can bring a smile to anyone’s face. I love them as my own and all animals tend to like me. I give regular updates and pics and very communicative to make you feel better about leaving your baby with a stranger. I am working full time doing door dash at the time and have some time on my hands, can take off when needed. I would love to share some of my time with an amazing dog or cat. Or even a few of them. I thank you for your time and hope to be meeting you soon! Feel free to ask me anything. I currently work a few days a week delivering for door dash. I have plenty of time to take pets outside when needed for a walk or give plenty of attention when needed. I prefer will watch in your home. I live in apt complex that has plenty of room to roam. 3/2 and it’s only me that lives here now. I have had roommates that had dogs previously but none right now and don’t plan to change that. They can lounge on couches or run around the apt as there is nothing breakable.

About: I have a lifetime of caring for and loving our pets. They have always been a huge part of my life. They simply are our best friends! They are a constant source of surprises and rewards. So when life and obligations call and you can't be there with them , you can count on me to love and take care of them like you do and as usual there will be lots of tail wagging when you get home! I have one dog Fang and a cat Trixie. Fang is an 8 year old chocolate lab. Trixie is 20. I have a large fenced in yard and time to do what I enjoy! I also make natural homemade dog treats!
“This was my first experience with Rover. I have a new rescue and Karina took her time, introducing him to her dogs, and then playtime. It was an awesome First time experience. I hope to use her many times again in the future.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is I go above and beyond, always. Anything you need I am here for it. From medications, to multiple visitations, and lots of pictures and videos everyday! I don’t have children so my animals mean all of the world to me, as does every animal I meet. Especially yours. I know it’s hard to leave them, but I assure you I’ll make it easy. You can depend on me! This is all I do, so I am very open to your dates and needs for that time. Pet sitting is my priority always! I do send pictures and videos, also location check ins from me to ensure I am there and your ability to relax and enjoy your time away is at a 10! I am here for exactly what you and your pet need, my dogs have their own routine as well as bedrooms. I understand specific needs, and can fit myself into whatever routine you prefer.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
