“Kaitlyn was amazing! I loved receiving the rover cards each day of our trip keeping us updated with how our babies were doing and sending photos along with that, it’s really a great comfort while you’re away. I feel like my animals were well taken care of, and I will absolutely be booking with her again in the future.”

“Brittany was great! She was so sweet to come by before the visit and meet us, go over what needed to be done with the animals and all that. And the visit itself also went great, I felt like my animals were well taken care of. I love receiving the rover cards each day during the trip, the photos and information really eases your mind to know your babies are well taken care of. I will absolutely be using Brittany again in the future when we go on trips.”

“Elaine was very sweet and kind when she came over to meet our animals. She wanted them to meet her and get her smell. She did a fantastic job caring for our fur babies. I felt completely comfortable being away with her doing our drop in visits. Will book again for sure.”

“Jordan showed up on time for every visit. She sent us daily reports and lots of photos. She took wonderful care of our elderly dog and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that our pet was being well cared for. We will be booking Jordan again for our next vacation.”

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors and friends dogs and cats since I was young. Walking and caring for animals has been a part of my life for a long time. Happy to continue to meet and care for more each day. I work full time remotely and can walk or care for animals throughout my days. Morning, day, and evening can be free for walking and caring for pets between work schedule. I am able to freely let your dog out and walk/feed them. I have a fenced in yard and friendly 8 yr. old GSP if they need another dog companion to play and get some zoomies out.
About: I’ve adopted dogs since my early twenties and they have been my only kids since. I’ve been lucky to have loved 4. We adopted 2 puppies in March 2025 and it’s been so fun ( and busy) having little pups again. We’ve been to training classes and are working on our manners. We take our pups with us whenever we can and that includes, restaurants, outdoor markets, camping, boat rides, the river and beach. I am currently retired and would LOVE to care for your fur babies and make some money to spend on mine. Haha I’m pretty flexible and can adjust as needed. I have two 6 month old puppies right now and they are crate trained. They love to play and wrestle. We are still going outside to potty and play about every four to six hours just to stay on a schedule and keep them entertained. We do let our fur babies on the furniture and bed.
About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked at a zoo, raised orphaned cats, love on my dog Floki and my reptiles like they are my children, and I am currently still working with animals today. I’m available for unlimited fun with your beloved family member. I have a huge yard and plenty of space for us to relax. I don’t consider dogs as primarily outdoor pets. They are family. I will care for them as I would a child. Bring their food, favorite toy, a bone, and a crate if needed and they will feel like they are just at home.
“Fiona has been checking in on my two cats for the past 3 weeks and she has been very reliable. She’s spends time with the animals giving them so well needed attention and making sure they’re taken care of. Fiona has no issues with the instructions I’ve left for her and has done an amazing job with everything asked of her. She’s good with the animals and they love her maybe more than me. I always look forward to the cute pictures she sends of the cats. Highly recommend her.”

“Poet was absolutely amazing with Bernoulli and Sunni. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals and treated them like her own. She kept us updated, made us feel completely at ease, and our pups came home happy and well cared for. We’re so grateful for her and would trust her again in a heartbeat 🤍”

About: Hi, my name is Vanessa! I am currently a full-time social worker and dog mom to Georgia and Kingston! I have grown up on a farm, caring for various different animals but cannot think of a time I never had a dog or cat. With this, I have gained experience with caring for different breeds of dogs, large and small, including administering oral medication, puppies, high energy breeds, reactive and anxious dogs. As I have two dogs of my own, I know the importance of communication and being detail oriented when it comes to caring for others' pets as if they were my own. I currently share a rather flexible schedule for walks, daily drop-ins, and pet-sitting in your home. I look forward to getting to know your best friend(s)! I currently share a rather flexible schedule allowing the ability for daily walks, drop-ins, and pet-sitting at your home! I would love to meet your pets! I find myself to be a very detail oriented person including following instructions that an owner may provide specific to their pets. I am comfortable with crating, bathroom breaks, daily walks, administering oral medication, feeding, and so forth. I am also known for leaving detailed notes or communicating with the owner regarding my interaction with your pet!
“We are so thankful for Holly! She was great with our two girls while we were out of town for the holiday weekend. She checked in right on time and sent us updated of the girls each time she was here. Thank you so much!”

About: I have had pets all my life. I've always been compassionate and loved having my pets. I will love your furbabies as if they are mine! Evenings and weekends for now. Soon my schedule will change and I will have more time to devote to pet sitting. I am looking forward to my near future. My furbabies are indoors all of the time. We enjoy time outside together. I have a fenced yard. They are little people in fur coats.
“Peyton was terrific! Every aspect of booking, meeting, communication and the actual pet-sitting while we were gone was A+. The sitter we had used in the past was unavailable and Peyton was a gamble, but she exceeded our expectations and would use her again. She will now be our go-to cat sitter! GREAT JOB!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
