“Had a wonderful experience with Tim and Mariah! Their home was clean, safe, and dog-friendly, which made me feel comfortable leaving my dog in their care. They were attentive, providing updates and photos of my dog showing it felt right at home, and she looked so happy and relaxed when I picked her up. I highly recommend Tim and Mariah to anyone looking for a warm and caring environment for their pet.”

“This was our second time booking with Karina while our family vacationed at Pensacola Beach and we are so thankful for her! Our kids loved seeing pictures of our pup throughout the week and he clearly enjoyed himself! We recommend her to everyone!”

“Libby was well taken care of and had a good time with Michelle. She was very friendly and sent pictures every day. I will definitely keep her in mind if I ever need a sitter again for Libby.”

“Daniel did a great job. He first suggested a meet and greet at the dog park before committing which I really liked. He has two wonderful dogs who got along really well with ours. He took good care of Little Rock. He sent us couple of pictures every day. Always responded in a good timely manner when I texted him. Kept me updated on our dog adjusting and eating manner. And provided more food for LR when he ran out of what we provided. We definitely recommend his services and will be using help again in the future.”

About: I grew up on my dad’s hobby farm and always had different breeds of dogs to take care of. I trained the dogs to do simple tricks. Sit, stay, shake etc. I work a fully remote job from home. I’m at the house until 6:15pm on a normal day and will come home around 9pm. Not gone for long. I let pets in the house, I have a fenced in back yard and a dog crate for when I need to step out for a little bit.
“Cristine was absolutely wonderful with Romeo, she stayed in touch consistently and provided lots of pics/ videos and updates. I definitely felt confident leaving Romeo in Cristine's loving care. She was amazing and we will 100% be using her again if or when the time comes. ?”

“Candace took such great care of our pup! We got to meet prior to the booking and she made us and Mav feel right at home. She sent daily updates, was quick to respond and accommodated our schedule for pick up and drop off. We are so thankful we found her and we will definitely be using her again the future! Mav looked like he had a great time.”

“Elaine is the BEST! She treats all the dogs like they are her own. Love and attention is a guarantee. My labradoodle loves to go to Elaine’s…. And that makes it easy to leave her there when I travel.”
About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I currently have a young dachshund of my own, so I’m very familiar with puppy energy, training basics, and maintaining consistent routines. I’m comfortable caring for animals of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I treat every pet in my care like family and always prioritize their comfort and safety. I am a military spouse who works from home so pet care fits easily into my daily routine and allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, walks, feeding, and playtime without long periods of alone time. I also offer home check-ins for pets who are more comfortable staying in their own space. My schedule is flexible, which helps me adapt to each pet’s unique needs and routine. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of supervision, playtime, and affection. I follow each pet’s feeding schedule, exercise needs, and routines as closely as possible to help them feel at home. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I respect their space and keep their pet’s routine consistent with what they are used to. I provide reliable home check-ins that include feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention while keeping the home clean and secure.
About: I have a variety of experience with different dogs and different animals from both owning and caring for others animals. I’m fairly active so I can both walk and run a dog. I just moved here with my husband who is in the military. Found myself stuck in the “don’t know what to do” phase of being a military wife. I have lots of time and looking forward to being helpful for others. I live in a large apartment and have two private dog parks in my complex. I have a large vehicle which allows for transportation of animals and kennels. I will walk/run dogs, go on adventures with them, cuddle, feed, brush, and just engage with them in whatever way is asked! I have great flexibility and can care for your animal with as much or as little instruction as you have.
“I cannot recommend her enough!! Leaving my 9-week-old puppy with someone for the first time made me so nervous, but she completely exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I dropped my puppy off, I felt 100% at ease. She provided constant updates, and photos which meant so much to me and really showed how much she genuinely cares. My puppy had the absolute best time playing with her resident dogs and was so happy, stimulated, and loved the entire stay. Honestly, I don’t even think my puppy wanted to leave! That alone says everything. It’s clear she creates such a safe, fun, and loving environment for the dogs in her care. It is such a relief to have found someone I fully trust, and I will absolutely be booking with her again. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own, she is the one!”

“Our pup, Lexi, seemed like she had the best time and she was so happy with them! I loved getting all the pictures from Kyle and Laura. I think we have found our repeat boarder for Lexi.”

“Nicole has been amazing with our dog, she was really nice since the moment I contacted her. She gave us lots of updates during the long weekend and some pictures. We’ll definitely contact with her again whenever we need someone to take care of our Ky”

“Joy was great! I knew my Bear was in great hands with Joy. She kept me up to date on my dog’s daily activities and was a ‘joy’ to work with. :) I definitely recommend, and will be a returning customer!!”

“Andrea was amazing! We talked like we’ve known each other forever just after meeting. She’s quick to respond and I loved receiving updates on how my babies were doing. My very active dogs had space to run around in her yard. They came back home exhausted from the days of playing and fun they had . I had to pick my babies up a little later than expected and Andrea was more than willing to work with me . Oak & Ivy love Andrea and her family and will be back soon . Thank you for creating a safe space for my fur babies. I’ll only ever book with you 💖”

“Regina was a fantastic host for my dog! She was extremely responsive and provided plenty of photos along the way. I felt like my dog was in good hands the whole time! Truly treated her like she was her own pup. Would definitely rebook and would recommend to anyone needing to board their dog!”

“Jeily was fabulous to work with. We recently acquired a new pup, and not knowing how he would react in a new environment, we were hesitant to leave him with a boarder. After our initial meet and greet, we felt like Jeily would be the best fit.. and we were right. Our dog had the best time meeting new friends. We highly recommend Jeily!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cantonment
We had such a wonderful experience! Jellybean was so well cared for, and it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They went above and beyond even giving her a sweet birthday toy and card, which was incredibly thoughtful. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch

We took an extended vacation and needed care for our 3 cats including one with special needs. Julia and her boyfriend took great care of our boys! They were calm and running around when we arrived to pick them up and all of the items nicely packed for an easy pick up. Definitely recommend for your fur babies! We will be rebooking in the future, thank you Julia!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
