About: This is our first time sitting for other pets but we would love to treat everyone’s pet with respect and spoil them with love and affection We both work full time but we are available to do boarding and drop in visits and any other service during work days. As in before and after work. While we both work full time we have different days off and different times we work so we can always be one of us available I stay at a apartment complex but we have a dog park and my dog is getting crate trained at the moment but she loves other animals and would love a friend for the day!
About: I am willing to do anything to provide the best care possible for your pets. I love dogs and I will provide them with the interaction and activity they need to keep them healthy and happy. I can walk, feed, play with, and provide any other services needed for your pet. I will do my best to provide the best customer service possible. I will be honest and share whatever happens with your pets. I can take care of big dogs and small dogs and no dog is too old or too young for me to take care of. If you hire me you will be hiring someone who genuinely cares about your dogs and who cares about your satisfaction because I am willing to do whatever it takes to make you and your dogs happy.
“Dawn was a excellent sitter for our cat Tubby Dawn said that she would be at our home at 10:00AM every day and she was always on time Pictures were sent to us on every visit which gave us support that our pet was being looked after after properly I would recommend Dawn to anyone looking for pet care”

“Catherine is super personable and great with pets. My oldest is diabetic, and I was worried about leaving him (usually board with his vet). She took great care of him. My pup is a rescue and can be protective and timid by barking at everyone, instead she greeted Cat with tail wags and sniffs. The pets can be stressed when they’re so used to being around you and someone new comes in. When I got home from my trip, it was like I hadn’t been gone at all. Highly recommend Cat and her caring nature.”

“Stacy was great and my dogs loved her. She let me book without much notice and was so responsive. Great communication and care. She was so thoughtful to wipe them down because it rained. Highly recommend!!”

About: Growing up I always had big dogs, and I currently have a pit mix and a chihuahua/dachshund mix. That being said, I am more than capable of wrangling your big dogs on a walk and handling any reactivity they might display. I’m also extremely comfortable with the little pups and their possible sass! I’m happy to take a nice, meandering walk with your senior dog or a run with your energetic puppy, and I will of course give them all the love and affectionate they could possibly want :) I also love cats and have experience watching both kittens and adult cats. I do work full time during the week, but I am available in the weekday evenings (around 4:30) and all day Saturday, Sunday, and some Fridays. Let me know your pet’s love language! Do they like long walks around the neighborhood? Snuggling on the couch? Perhaps a nice Kong full of peanut butter to wind down after a long day? Whatever your pet’s ideal day is, I will make it happen!
“Melanie was INCREDIBLE!! My husband and I were gone for over 11 days on our honeymoon (and despite us having poor cell service and not being able to communicate as well) she was so patient and kept us updated the whole time with tons of pictures and notes!! We will most definitely be using her again to watch out fur babies ☺️☺️☺️ and highly recommend her for anyone needing service!”

About: I have 5 years of experience working in the veterinary field, so I’m comfortable providing medications and administering shots as needed. I’m also able to recognize potential medical concerns or changes in your pet’s condition and know when something may need further attention.Beyond medical care, I genuinely love spending time with animals! I enjoy playing with pets, giving them plenty of attention, and I’m happy to prepare their food according to their specific needs or routines. Most importantly, I will care for your pet or pets as if they were my own—with patience, love, and plenty of attention to their individual needs. My schedule is completely open right now. Genuinely, any time of day works for me, so feel free to pick whatever time is most convenient for you! I’m able to do any at-home visits! I do have a double-fenced-in yard and two very friendly dogs. However, if anything were to take place at my home, my dogs can easily stay completely separated from your pet. I’m happy to accommodate whatever makes you and your pet most comfortable!
“Hannah was amazing had very great communication and sent constant updates of when she was heading in, while doing the check in, any updates on my dog and etc. all at a great price thank you Hannah for the care.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with 15 years of experience caring for pets. I currently have two cats of my own, so I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. My experience extends beyond cats to rabbits, reptiles, and amphibians. I’ve also volunteered at a metro dog park and am currently looking to volunteer at an animal shelter, to give me even more opportunities to interact with and learn about animals with different personalities and needs. I’m responsible, patient, attentive, and committed to providing the same loving care and attention I give my own pets. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine, preferences, and special instructions to help them feel comfortable while you’re away. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m available any day and at any time to care for your pets. Having an open schedule allows me to be available when you need me, including weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings, and holidays. I’m happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s routine to provide dependable, attentive care whenever you’re away. I care for every pet as an individual and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and specific needs. In your home, I will follow your instructions closely and keep your pets comfortable in their familiar surroundings. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, feeding, fresh water, litter or habitat care, and companionship as needed. I understand that pets can feel anxious when their people are away, so I’m patient and attentive and give them time to feel comfortable with me. I’m also experienced with cats, rabbits, reptiles, and amphibians, and I’m comfortable following specific care instructions for different types of animals. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away, while also keeping you updated so you can have peace of mind.
“Tia was amazing!!! I reached out to her hours before I needed a sitter for a last-minute trip and she came through. I just know the dogs loved her and most definitely will be rebooking with her in the future.”

“We recently moved to Pensacola and had to find a new Rover sitter and boy did we hit the jackpot with Shannyn!!! A few days before our trip the forecast called for storms. Shannyn messaged me to ask how the animals reacted to thunder. She even offered to spend extra time at the house to comfort them. She sent great feedback during our 3 days away. We will definitely be using Shannyn again.”

Jennifer was nothing short of amazing! We felt extremely comfortable with her during the meet and greet with our girls and can tell from the photos that they enjoyed her company. She took care of our girls the same way we do and made sure to spend the entirety of her stays doing what the dogs love doing- fetch and giving tons of affection! Lots of great daily photos and updates. We would 100% have Jennifer watch our girls again. Thank you soooo much for taking such great care of our girls and house!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
