“10/10. Warning: Do not bring your dog here if you don't want them to feel like they are a part of the family, getting nonstop cuddles, and lots of friends to play with! This family made me feel so comfortable leaving Teddy with them while I went on vacation out of the country for two weeks. I sincerely appreciate the daily updates via text messages, pictures, and videos! Seeing Teddy so happy was the highlight of my day ever day. I strongly recommend Ray and Terry, they will take great care of your fur babies!”

“Maria took wonderful care of my senior dog while I was away for two weeks. She sent frequent updates with photos and videos to keep me in the loop. Finnegan seemed like he had a new home while away from his home that he enjoyed very much.”
“Peggy was great with Peter, our cat. He is very shy and by the end of his stay, he was rolling around like he does at home and allowing her to brush him. He was very quick to become calm/happy during his stay, and I know it was due to her kindness and patience with him. She also was very communicative with me, and would send me lots of pictures of Peter! I would book with her again 100%!”

“My dog Toto always comes home with a smile after being cared for by Ashley! She frequently sends picture updates, replies fast, and has excellent communication. Highly recommend!”
“Melanie was so great with Opal. She made us feel so comfortable at the meet and greet, was flexible with drop-off times, and provided pictures and updates. She was also very understanding when Opal was more than a little curious about her cat! Her dog, Georgi, is a big, fluffy sweetie, too!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Chandler! Leaving my little man while traveling for a business trip was stressful, but Chandler immediately put my mind at ease. His genuine care, communication and attention made me feel completely confident that my dog was in the best hands. It’s clear he truly loves animals and treats them like family. I was able to focus on my work knowing my pup was safe, happy and well cared for. I’m incredibly grateful for the peace of mind he provided and would highly recommend Chandler to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their pet.”

“Nicole watched our 1 year old golden Luna for a weekend and I could not have asked for a better dog sitter! She sent us continuous updates with lots of pictures and was extremely responsive. She made sure to follow all of my instructions and made me feel less anxious the moment we initially met. I can tell that Luna had such a wonderful time with her in her home and was taken care of exactly the way I would want her to be. I have nothing but positive things to say about Nicole and recommend her to anyone who is in need of a dog sitter in the Pensacola area.”

“Kristin was great with my dogs. She gave medicine for one and cooked them special foods that I brought. She sent pictures and videos and was very prompt with any questions/concerns I had. I’d definitely recommend Kristin for your pup!”

“Fantastic couple to watch your dog(s). Took great care of my girls while I was away. Will definitely be my dog watchers for any other upcoming events. Thank you so much!”

“Katelyn is absolutely wonderful! She gave us frequent updates, photos, videos throughout our pups’ stay. I haven’t felt so stress free during a vacation knowing our pups were in good hands. Even was a little nervous that they wouldn’t want to come back home with us! Lol. We also had quite a bit of notes/instructions for our dogs, one of which had ACL surgery not too long ago, that she seemed to follow well. So happy I found Katelyn and will definitely be using her services again and again.”

“Omg, I can not rave enough about the care that our pup received from Christina and her amazing family! They treated Koda like their own. And we received several photos and feedback the 9 days we were away. They put a smile on my face every time. 10/10 recommend!!!”

About: I grew up on my dad’s hobby farm and always had different breeds of dogs to take care of. I trained the dogs to do simple tricks. Sit, stay, shake etc. I work a fully remote job from home. I’m at the house until 6:15pm on a normal day and will come home around 9pm. Not gone for long. I let pets in the house, I have a fenced in back yard and a dog crate for when I need to step out for a little bit.
“Aleisha was awesome with GG. GG was GG so that meant lots of love and play time with the other Family Critters. When I picked her up after a week GG was happy, healthy, and CLEAN! What 4 legged girl doesn't like a hot bath after a week of playing and good loving? Thank You Aleisha and Family. JP”

“My cats are skittish and not sociable with strangers, so I was hesitant on boarding my cats with a someone for a week. I have used Rover before, but it was always someone coming into my home where the cats were at least comfortable. This time I’m currently in a RV and wasn’t comfortable leaving them in a ‘tin can’ for a week with drop in visits. I haven’t been in a camper long and not sure about the temperature regulation while I was away on a cruise, so I decided to look for boarding and found Ashleigh. She agreed to take them so I booked with her. I reached out to Ashleigh the day before and found that there had been a misunderstanding on my part, but Ashleigh was great at explaining and offered a solution to put my mind at ease. Ashleigh made the most important part of the trip (boarding the babies) easier than I thought it would be. She showed the girls attention and sent pictures daily showing they were relaxed and comfortable ❤️”

“Daniel had a warm presence when I brought my Luna over to meet him. He immediately got on her level and tried to make a connection. He was very reassuring and told me the typical plans he makes for the dogs daily. He sent me many photos of her, which put my mind at ease. I plan to use Daniel in the future, as Luna seemed to really enjoy her time and the new friends she made!”

“Kemarie was very communicative, I appreciated the updates and pictures. I appreciate that she was able to accept our dogs with short notice, and she helped me feel comfortable having someone new watch them.”

“Leanna is incredible with stevie! I got lots of photos which I loved and stevie had so much fun having company. I would 100% recommend and will hopefully use her again in the future!”

We had such a wonderful experience! Jellybean was so well cared for, and it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They went above and beyond even giving her a sweet birthday toy and card, which was incredibly thoughtful. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
98% of Cantonment sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Cantonment landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cantonment home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cantonment.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cantonment sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
