Safety, trust & environment

Your baby(s) will be part of our family while you are away. He or she will wear a collar or tag that reads “I’m Lost. Call my sitter” with both of our cell numbers on it. We have a double gate entrance to the yard, so no one escapes while another is coming or going. We also have a small indoor fence/gate across our front door so no one can escape that way. Whatever we can do to make them feel secure and loved, we will do. There is one little bitty senior girl we sit for who doesn't like to be on the floor with the "dogs", so we carry her in a sling much of the time!

Information Ray & Sherry W. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has special needs, of course. I also would like to know if your dog has any “quirks” that make him/her even more special. For instance, one of our dachshunds is extremely nervous on a floor that isn’t carpeted. We need to know if your baby has any food allergies or digestive issues... we keep plenty of treats on hand and don't want to give them anything they shouldn't have. Anything, no matter how small the detail, will help us care for your baby in the best way possible. Thanks for checking us out!

A typical day

We don’t walk dogs per se, but we will walk with them if they need encouragement to walk around outside for exercise and potty breaks. Dogs here are free to go out and come back in as they please. If a visiting dog isn’t familiar or is uncomfortable with the doggy door, we will take him/her out and spend some time outdoors with them and offer playtime. We absolutely love playing outside with them when the weather is nice! We don't like to crate anyone, but if your pup is more comfortable sleeping in their crate we will respect that. If you bring a crate with them, we will leave it set up so they can have their own familiar space.

A loving home environment 🐾

Pet care experience

Hi! We’re only taking small breeds at this time, up to 15lbs. We can’t seem to stop Rover from matching us with the big kids! 🐾 That said, thanks for considering us to take care of your precious one(s)! We are both retired, and one or both of us is almost always home. We have had dogs as family members all of our married life (40+ years). They truly are members of the family, not “just dogs”. They snuggle on the couch with us to watch tv and sleep with us in the big bed. Your baby (or babies) won’t be treated any differently! We even split up at night when we have visitors, so everyone has a human to sleep with... that way there are no squabbles over snuggles 😊 We have a big fenced yard and a doggy door so they will have freedom to come and go. We always keep an eye on them though... just in case someone is looking for something to get into! The doggy door lets out onto a covered porch with steps and a ramp down into the yard. We are comfortable administering medications, including injections. We currently have 3 fur-children of our own. A 12yo female mini dachshund, a 10yo male dachshund, and a 6yo female chug. Our fees are inclusive… if your pup needs meds given, a nail trim (if they let us), a bath… we treat your baby like he/she is our own while they’re here. Here's what we don't do: 🐾 Intact adults 🐾 Adults that are not housebroken (we don’t do potty pads) 🙂 We understand the occasional accident that goes along with being in a strange environment!

We had such a wonderful experience! Jellybean was so well cared for, and it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They went above and beyond even giving her a sweet birthday toy and card, which was incredibly thoughtful. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch

The facility is comfortable and safe, dogs have access to a huge well manicured fenced in back yard or inside if they want out of the heat. Ray and Sherry will treat your dog like their own.

We have found our sitters. They were so attentive to Leo and gave us several updates throughout the day. He had a blast playing with the other dogs. Thanks again

Ray and Sherry were absolutely wonderful. Our dog is very nervous and timid and they were extremely knowledgeable and understanding with her throughout the entire process. They did not force themselves onto her and waited until she was comfortable for closer interaction. We received many updates with photos which allowed us to relax while we were on vacation to know our dog was being well taken care of. The environment was clean and calm and we felt comfortable leaving our dog there. Our dog came home and did not seem "traumatized" as she has been with other boarding experiences in the past. Communication throughout the process was great. When we need to board our dog again, we will absolutely use them in the future. We are so thankful.
