“We had such a wonderful experience! Jellybean was so well cared for, and it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They went above and beyond even giving her a sweet birthday toy and card, which was incredibly thoughtful. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch”

“Christina was absolutely amazing! This was my first time using Rover and I am so glad I did. Christina exceeded all of my expectations. She sent so many pictures and updates! So I never had to worry!! My dog played with friends, slept in the bed, got lots of treats, played with the kids, and snored on the couch! I think my pup forgot I was even gone! Highly recommend!”

“Aleisha was awesome with GG. GG was GG so that meant lots of love and play time with the other Family Critters. When I picked her up after a week GG was happy, healthy, and CLEAN! What 4 legged girl doesn't like a hot bath after a week of playing and good loving? Thank You Aleisha and Family. JP”

“Frankie loves going to Ashley’s house! She is very responsive and takes great care of Frankie. She makes sure to always send me photos of Frankie playing outside or hanging out inside watching tv. I will continue to use Ashley any time I need a sitter.”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was 4 we recently just had to put down our 15 year old pit Bull. I have a 10 year old pit mix that I hold near my heart. I hope as you look at my profile and see me you also believe that I will treat your dog as one of my own and give them the best care while you are away. As of right now I work from home, so that means I am free all day to give your dog the love and care they deserve! I do not have a fenced in yard but i am a couple blocks down from a dog friendly park that we could walk to or even just play in the spacious back yard. I also have a friendly fur baby who would love making a new friend.
“Samantha has watched Mack twice now and did a great job keeping us in the loop, making sure he took his daily meds and most importantly making sure he had a good time! He is very high energy and a handful to watch but no complaints here, will be bringing Mack back next time.”

“I’m so grateful to Jessica! She was fantastic. I reached out last minute and she was able to make time to do a meet and greet and then agreed to keep Buddy. She was so down to earth, easy to work with, and great with Buddy. He was attached to her like Velcro. And her dog, Pasta, is so good natured and even played with Buddy some! This was my first time using Rover and Jessica made it a wonderful experience.”

“Ashleigh was great! We booked her kind of last minute due to a wedding we had to attend. She was very attentive and sent daily updates which I appreciate. We have 3 dogs and she was absolutely amazing with them. I know they are a handful, but she did great!”

“Leanna is incredible with stevie! I got lots of photos which I loved and stevie had so much fun having company. I would 100% recommend and will hopefully use her again in the future!”

“Karina is the best! This was our sweet boys first boarding over night stay. Karina sent lots of photos of him having a great time and texts throughout the stay. If I texted her a question, she responded right away. He really had a great time, and loved Karina right away.”

“Linda was wonderful with my baby Carrot. Carrot is very shy and takes a while to get used to people. Linda was very good with her and Carrot warmed up to her very quickly. I got pictures and daily updates which made me feel better about leaving her. Linda did a great job!”

“Emalie took great care of our dog! She was flexible and willing to work with us on what was best for our schedule. She was patient with our dog and welcomed her with open arms. Would rebook in the future!”

“Reanna was so easy to work with. Mowgli loved staying with them and was sad after coming back home and missed his buddies over there. Reanna communicated the entire time and kept me updated with pictures and videos which put me to ease to enjoy our family trip. Thank you for keeping Mowgli! Highly recommended her 💜”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Barrineau Park home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Barrineau Park.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Barrineau Park sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
