“Thank you so much Natalie!! I was kind of worried how Alf would be because she isn't familiar with strangers. You rock! Thank you for sending pictures and keeping me updated while you were with her. You are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Jeily communicated with us at every visit. She sent photos of our spoiled fur babies. She reported the the good and the bad. lol. We had piece of mind that they were taken care of while we were gone. She gave them treats and they looked very happy. Strongly recommend Jeily to provide care of your fur babies.”

“Matt is the absolute kindest and most patient sitter for both of our dogs, but mainly for our elderly, large lab. He goes the extra mile, every time, and allows us to travel without worrying about how our dogs will be cared for. We trust him, we like him as a person, and we highly recommend!”
“Brittany is AMAZING! She went above and beyond to take care of my kitties and even my bonus outdoor kitty that had started showing up right before I left on my trip. Highly recommend!”

“10/10, great dog sitter. Had zero issues and received all the updates and pictures we wanted. Kelcie took the time to meet our dogs beforehand, handled our dogs’ medications, and was very easy to communicate with. I can’t recommend her enough other than to selfishly keep her open to provide for our own requested dates of service!!!”

“Heather was truly the best! She went well over and beyond for our dogs. She gave us detailed information each visit, and even cleaned up our floors because it had been raining and the dogs brought mud in. She showed true care and concern for our dogs, and we couldn’t be more thankful! Highly recommend her!”

“We wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for looking after our beloved dog, Blondie, while we were away. Your kindness and willingness to step in during our time of need meant the world to us. As you know, we were faced with the challenging task of taking our other furry family member, Miller, to a specialist for treatment. It was an incredibly difficult time for us, filled with worry and anxiety. However, knowing that Blondie was in your capable hands provided us with great comfort and reassurance. Stacy, thank you for being there for us and for taking such excellent care of Blondie. You truly went above and beyond.”

“Lillian was amazing! Frequent photo updates with pure joy on my animal’s faces. She was very accommodating and easy to pivot with my changing of plans. She went above and beyond and is definitely who I will book with again!”

“She was on time for every drop in, sent pictures of Mia & Nala to me, and my pets seemed to even smile for her - I would highly recommend Haley & I will be using her again!”

“Sami has been looking over my pets when I'm away for almost a year now and is the only person I will go to when I need someone to watch them. Thanks again for doing such a great job!!”

Jazlynn has looked after my cats for multiple trips and I have no reservations about leaving them in her care while I’m away! She is very communicative and reliable! The one time our schedules didn’t align, I was upset that I had to find someone else. 😂 She will continue to be my first choice whenever I travel.

I always had a great experience with Sami. She went above and beyond—cleaning up after my cat got sick and making sure everything was taken care of. It was clear she genuinely cares about cats and their well-being. I’d definitely trust her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and reliable sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
