About: I have helped watch cats and dogs for friends and family for years while they were away. I have great communication that will help you be at ease while you’re away. I am an elementary school teacher in Pensacola. Being a teacher leaves me lots of time in the evenings and weekends to help as well as all summer for your vacation needs while you’re away! I am reliable and will treat your pets like I do my own. I am good with dogs and great with cats, happy to help however I can.
“I always had a great experience with Sami. She went above and beyond—cleaning up after my cat got sick and making sure everything was taken care of. It was clear she genuinely cares about cats and their well-being. I’d definitely trust her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and reliable sitter.”

“Heather was truly the best! She went well over and beyond for our dogs. She gave us detailed information each visit, and even cleaned up our floors because it had been raining and the dogs brought mud in. She showed true care and concern for our dogs, and we couldn’t be more thankful! Highly recommend her!”

About: Hi! I’m someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs, and I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll stick to your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, whether that’s walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding schedules, or simply giving them a calm place to relax. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you’ll always know how your pup is doing. Every dog has a unique personality, and I take the time to get to know what makes them happiest. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers quiet naps and belly rubs, I’ll provide care that’s personalized to their needs.I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family, and I’d love the opportunity to care for yours! Pet care suits my schedule since i’m a stay at home mom to my daughter! I wouldn’t mind having a friend to hangout with me! Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special instructions you provide. Every pet is different, so I’ll make sure they get the attention and care that fits their personality. I’ll also send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to treat every pet like family and make your time away as stress-free as possible.

“Shelby is amazing! She really went above and beyond to take care of my 5 fur babies! I have 2 senior cats who require multiple medications, health monitoring, and specific feeding instructions. I was so nervous about leaving them, but Shelby handled it all with ease and didn't even mind the extra clean up needed sometimes with senior pets. When I returned, they were well-hydrated, happy, clean, and comfortable! Our senior dog has anxiety, arthritis, and occasional accidents, and Shelby provided her with VIP service! I never had to worry since Shelby was there twice a day to take our dog outside, feed her on a schedule, keep all water bowls cleaned and refilled, and clean up accidents. I also have two younger cats that required care and several litter boxes to clean. She kept them happy, and she successfully prevented them from trying to run outside whenever a door was opened! Shelby was punctual, communicated with me twice a day or more if needed, sent photos, and put my mind at ease! She even brought in mail and packages and covered my plants outside when the weather turned cold. Shelby is sweet, responsible, and conscientious, and she'll love your pets as if they are her own. I could not have asked for anyone better, and I have already discussed booking her again for out next trip. I am so lucky to have found her!”

About: I have a variety of experience with different dogs and different animals from both owning and caring for others animals. I’m fairly active so I can both walk and run a dog. I just moved here with my husband who is in the military. Found myself stuck in the “don’t know what to do” phase of being a military wife. I have lots of time and looking forward to being helpful for others. I live in a large apartment and have two private dog parks in my complex. I have a large vehicle which allows for transportation of animals and kennels. I will walk/run dogs, go on adventures with them, cuddle, feed, brush, and just engage with them in whatever way is asked! I have great flexibility and can care for your animal with as much or as little instruction as you have.
“Matt was fantastic. The dogs loved him right off the bat. He kept to the schedule I laid out and sent me progress reports and photos of the animals. He is the best dog sitter I have ever seen!”

“This was my 1st time with Rover. I was so impressed with Leticia’’s professionalism and care about my 2 kitties. I felt very reassured by the messages when she dropped by and short text conversations with we had then.”

“Lillian was amazing! Frequent photo updates with pure joy on my animal’s faces. She was very accommodating and easy to pivot with my changing of plans. She went above and beyond and is definitely who I will book with again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
