Noah is the best!! We had a friend cancel on us and he came through last minute to house and pet sit. It was our first time booking on Rover and we were a tad nervous to leave our pets and house with someone we didn't know, but were so at ease once we met him. Our pets loved him and he left our house in perfect shape. 10/10 recommend booking him!

If you're trying Rover for the first time like we were, I can't recommend Jenna enough. We chose her because she had more reviews than almost anyone else we looked at, and she still maintained a perfect five star rating. Now we understand why. We were gone on a deep sea fishing trip, and Jenna came by twice to take care of our dog, Ruger. She didn't just let her out for a potty break. She spent time playing with her, throwing the ball, and making sure she got plenty of exercise. Ruger was happy, tired, and clearly well cared for when we got home. Jenna was reliable, caring, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets.

About: Caring for animals is truly one of my passions. I'm a proud pet parent of rescue animals including wonderful dogs, precious cats, and some cool leopard geckos. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, from bottle-fed newborns to senior pets with specialized needs. Over the years, I've volunteered with animal shelters and sanctuaries, fostered pets, and worked at a veterinary and boarding clinic as a dog and cat bather as well as a kennel technician. These experiences have given me the skills to care for pets with patience, compassion, and confidence. I'm happy to provide references from previous dog walking and pet sitting clients. I've been fortunate to have many repeat clients through other platforms, as well as friends and family who continue to trust me with their beloved pets. Every animal I care for is treated with the same love, respect, and attention I give my own. I know that pets are family, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family member! Highly available for overnight pet sitting in your home or daily drop in visits. I am also available for repeat dog walks throughout the week within a certain distance. I am reliable, have a ton of experience with animals big & small, of all ages, different energy levels and temperaments. I am willing to work with them and gain their trust plus yours. I look forward to building my pet care business and getting to know you and your critter babies. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out before or after booking. In a clients home I really appreciate a list of duties to follow. Having a guide to follow what you expect and need done makes sure we are on the same page and your animal’s best interest is at heart. You can always rely on me to be responsible, honest, punctual, and efficient with your pets care. I like to spoil all my clients extra, and will give treats if allowed and all the extra love so you & them can be content knowing they are in great hands. I believe in fear free practices and will do my absolute best to win over your pet even if they are shy or timid. I respect personal space and will honor that as well if needed. You tell me what your animal needs or prefers and I will provide. Happy tail wags guaranteed.

We had a different rover booked, but he had to back out, due to his pet becoming ill. She happily stepped up and took care of our two dogs and our place. Our dogs are occasionally difficult, but she asked some questions and adjusted to them. We would definitely have her back. Thank you

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life. There is nothing better than spending time with animals. I put love and care into every interaction - even with random pets I see while on a walk! Animals deserve respect and companionship, especially when their loved ones are on a trip! I currently work as a barista, so I work in the mornings and have the rest of the day to hang around! I am also a student getting my Masters in Public Health online, so that allows me to still take care of your loved ones even while learning! I love to play with pets or match the energy they require - couch potatoes are just as fun, lol! Willing to follow any requirements for your sweet baby that will create stability while you’re gone (even the odd tendencies, my dog has some of his own haha).

Loarann was amazing!! This was my first time using in-home boarding so I was nervous but she was so sweet and so communicative. I never once had to worry or wonder what was going on which is huge for when you go on a trip that’s stressful enough! I honestly think she left the place better than she found it and was so kind about my house being kind of a sight these days because of renovations. She seems to truly love animals and I will 100% use her again in the future, no question.

About: As a lifetime dog and cat owner, I know the feeling of wishing you could do more for your pets. From volunteering at an animal shelter growing up to having a 60 pound hound, I am confident that I can provide your pet with great care. I work full time, from home and am able to make runs to homes for doggy potty breaks or longer visits. Early mornings are great and anytime after 3:00 I will always be available. I will be a companion for your animal, a friend. Being respectful of client’s houses is my top priority. I am working full time from home, making my schedule extremely flexible for pet care. Early mornings or late evenings all will work with my schedule. I will ensure gates are locked/ closed prior to letting pups out, if applicable. It is important to me that your pet has plenty of water in this Florida heat. The details are important to me.

Stephanie watched our cat and dog at our house over the holidays and did a great job! She spent a lot of time with our animals and gave updates/pics. We appreciated that she took in our mail, brushed our dog, and even cleaned a Roomba vac that ran over a pet mess. Highly recommend!

Madison watched our dog for almost 2.5 weeks while we were on a holiday trip to see family. We did a meet and greet before the trip to make sure she got to know our dog (as he is reactive) and I loved that she asked questions so that she knew what our wants/needs are for the stay. She is so sweet and did so great during the whole stay. She also has really great communication and I highly recommend her!

Rona is warm, incredibly intuitive, loving, conscientious and responsible. From the moment both my dog and I met her we immediately felt so comfortable with Rona. She brought out such playfulness in our shy girl who is usually quite timid around new people. I had Rona stay at our house and was incredibly responsible keeping me updated, clearly taking such kind and attentive care of out girl and she kept the house immaculate. I felt so safe having Rona who just radiates responsibility. I would recommend her anytime and will be using her again and again! She has a gift with dogs and people!

Matt was amazing!! Our baby wouldn’t eat when we left (he gets extremely sad when we leave), and he went out of his way to get our guy to eat! He went to the store and picked up different kinds of food, cooked him chicken and eggs, etc. And it worked! Our dog also requires a lot of medication and eyedrops, and Matt did all of it. Matt truly went above and beyond, and we know Porky was in such great, caring hands. We highly recommend Matt and will absolutely rebook him.

FAQs for House Sitting - Ferry Pass

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Ferry Pass on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 636 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Ferry Pass. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ferry Pass walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ferry Pass maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ferry Pass choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ferry Pass. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
