“Jenna is the best dog sitter I have ever had. She shows up early, puts your pet first, and my dog who doesn’t like anyone loved Jenna. She is a blessing. Also, my house looked better when I came home than it did when I left. I hope I will be able to use Jenna for all my dog sitting.”

“I was nervous to use someone I’ve never met to dog sit while I was out of town because I’ve had a bad experience in the past, but Noah restored my faith! He was so good with my babies and took excellent care of them while I was gone. They just loved him!!! Will definitely rebook when I’m out of town again!”

“Julissa was fantastic. She sent many updates and pictures of my dogs. She not only cared for them and made them comfortable, she made sure my mind was at ease. Very experienced and kind sitter”

“Poet was amazing!!! Took great care of our three fur babies! They provided frequent status updates and had good communication. Poet went out of their way to do 2 meet and greets with our motley crew to make sure everyone was comfortable.”

“Sophia took wonderful care of our 3 fur-babies. We were kept up to date and provided lots of pictures while we traveled. She followed our care instructions perfectly and went above and beyond our expectations!!”

“We use Rover all the time and I must say that Peyton exceeded all of our expectations! I love traveling but hate leaving my 3 pups behind but Peyton was so amazing that I did not worry about them even once while we were gone. She sent detailed messages and sent pictures and videos daily. We will definitely book with her again.”

“Rona is incredible! She is truly an animal whisperer and will put your dog or cat needs above everything else, including her own. I trust her completely and look to her for advice to get to know my own dog better!”

“I highly recommend Dianne! This was my first time using this type of service and it was for a 2 week period. She was awesome! Took great care in handling my 10yr old dog. I will definitely use her again.”

“Joni did an amazing job taking care of Winston, Matilda and our two cats while watching our home! We came back to happy, well-loved babies and everything in perfect shape. She’s reliable, caring, and we’d absolutely trust her again. Highly recommend!”

“Joy was amazing with Banner! I’m so glad we found her during our stay, she has made our trip worry free. I will definitely keep Joy in mind next time we come to town. If you’re looking for someone reliable and who will treat your pup like her own, Joy is the best sitter for you!!”

About: I have always had a love for animals. I’m not sure where it came to grow from but honestly, I love that I have that love. I studied veterinary technology after I graduated high school, didn’t get to finish but plan to go back once I find a better place to stay. I worked at an animal clinic for 2 years and am currently back at the same one after moving away for a year. I have 3 years experience of being a kennel technician as well as pet bather. I have also dog sat and bathed my family’s pets. Can do anything morning, midday and night. I do have a full time job at a vet clinic so I know everything to look for. I have two friendly dogs that would love to have playmates. I do have a cat that stays away from everyone as she wants her own space. Working in a vet clinic, I know and understand body language well and have a way with dogs.

“Great communication. Went above and beyond to see if there was any housework that needed to be done. I had peace of mind knowing that my babies were taken care of. I could enjoy my time away for the first time in a long time. Thank you Annabelle!”

About: This is our first time sitting for other pets but we would love to treat everyone’s pet with respect and spoil them with love and affection We both work full time but we are available to do boarding and drop in visits and any other service during work days. As in before and after work. While we both work full time we have different days off and different times we work so we can always be one of us available I stay at a apartment complex but we have a dog park and my dog is getting crate trained at the moment but she loves other animals and would love a friend for the day!

About: I have multiple long standing clients I've pet sat for, for over 8+ years, and have taken care of all sorts of animals in this time. You name it I've sat it! I've owned senior dogs and special needs/disabled dogs and understand they need special care and patience. (Blindness, dementia, medication, amputee, ect) Animals have always been a life passion for me, ever since I was little! I care for them so deeply, even when they're not my own, because I understand just how special they are to a family. I look forward to meeting your furry friends! Im currently working part time, but my schedule can be quite flexible! Im willing to do what I have to do to make schedules work so that your pets are properly cared for. Im willing and comfortable to stay overnight in your home to keep our furry friends company. Animals are always more comfortable staying in their own home when their owners are away, and I'm able to offer the best care if im close! I do my best to keep a stress-free and fun environment for all of my clients. I do prioritize cleanliness for myself and your pets, so please take time to provide a clean household for the duration of my stay. Thank you! 😄
About: Most of my care has been with Dobermans and Great Danes (gentle giants). I have cared for them as puppies all the way to seniors. So am aware of all levels of care needed. Currently unavailable the mornings of Tuesday and Thursday. I am able to take care of your fur baby the rest of the week, or come to your home. I have a large fenced yard and am close to the Hitzman Optimist Park for walks. The couch is fair game for your fur baby. If you prefer I can take your dog for walks at your house or simply "let them out".
“Stephanie watched our cat and dog at our house over the holidays and did a great job! She spent a lot of time with our animals and gave updates/pics. We appreciated that she took in our mail, brushed our dog, and even cleaned a Roomba vac that ran over a pet mess. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brent
Sara was great with our cat, Merlin! I certainly recommend her! She sent pictures of Merlin, stayed at the house to keep him company, fed him, played with him and let him in and out. She even notified us of an impending storm and secured items, plants and umbrellas on the deck. It’s obvious she loves pets and is very conscientious.

Felicia was absolutely AMAZING! This was my first time leaving my one dog with a sitter and she was so kind and understanding. She sent pics throughout the day and stayed over a couple of nights to snuggle with my pups a little extra. Her rates are way lower than the work and love she puts in. Thank you, Felicia!

Caitlin was just what we were looking for in a dog sitter! She was communicative, responsible and friendly. She sent great updates with photos every day. Our shiba inu and dachshund seemed to really enjoy her presence and warmed up nicely. We look forward to using Caitlin for more dog sitting needs in the future!

Matt was amazing!! Our baby wouldn’t eat when we left (he gets extremely sad when we leave), and he went out of his way to get our guy to eat! He went to the store and picked up different kinds of food, cooked him chicken and eggs, etc. And it worked! Our dog also requires a lot of medication and eyedrops, and Matt did all of it. Matt truly went above and beyond, and we know Porky was in such great, caring hands. We highly recommend Matt and will absolutely rebook him.

Dianne went above and beyond while pet and house sitting. We went out of town while our house just went on market and she was so flexible and accommodating while realtors and interested people came through. She left the house just as clean as when she arrived and sent us daily pictures of our dogs. Highly recommend her for pet and house sitting!

Claire did an excellent job watching my two dogs and three cats, she handled my senior chihuahua well and was great about keeping me updated on my two shy kitties. I appreciated her coming before the booking to meet the animals and make sure we all felt it was a good fit. Will definitely use her again and would highly recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brent walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brent maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brent choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brent. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
