About: I have grown up around animals my whole life. Both dogs and cats. I am also very well versed in training dogs. Training my dog is one of the best parts of my day. I spend a good amount of time training my dog. Teaching my dog new things is one of the best parts of my day. I love working with my dog. I follow the instructions that are given to me. I am a rule follower and what steps are given to me are the ones I take.
“Kelcie is amazing! She is so sweet and cared for my Cleo like her own. She met with me and asked lots of questions about my pet to make sure she knew what was best and how I like things done, and she sent lots of pictures to keep me updated while I was away! Will definitely rebook in the future and recommend to friends!!! Thank you Kelcie!”

“Beyond impressed with this young lady. My usually skittish pup took to her right away. Every detail I gave her was taken care of and she went above and beyond my expectations. Communication was top notch and i got pics from every visit. She gave my pup and kitties plenty of love and attention. I hope she is available every time we need a pet sitter.”

“My kitten and crabby cat warmed up easily to Shelby during our meet and greet and now that I am back, I swear that they are looking for her. Shelby went above and beyond and I plan to use her again soon. I highly recommend her!”

About: I am an animal lover who has had dogs and cats my whole life. Currently, I have 1 large pup and a cat and I enjoy those floofs with all my heart. I am a very active person and I work from home, so your loved one would not be left unattended for very long, if at all during their stay. I'm currently working part time, so I have plenty of time in my schedule to love on your fur babies. I enjoy all animals, even fish and birds! I have a large single family home with a fenced yard and regular host doggy play dates with my Belgian Malinois, Hugo. I also have a large park nearby that is walkable.

“I was in a rush and needed help with my baby! Leilani responded my request quickly, and showed up on time! She had a few minutes to play with Thor, she filled up his water bowl and sent me a bunch of pictures of him! Definitely will use her services again!”

“This was my 1st time with Rover. I was so impressed with Leticia’’s professionalism and care about my 2 kitties. I felt very reassured by the messages when she dropped by and short text conversations with we had then.”

About: Growing up I always had big dogs, and I currently have a pit mix and a chihuahua/dachshund mix. That being said, I am more than capable of wrangling your big dogs on a walk and handling any reactivity they might display. I’m also extremely comfortable with the little pups and their possible sass! I’m happy to take a nice, meandering walk with your senior dog or a run with your energetic puppy, and I will of course give them all the love and affectionate they could possibly want :) I also love cats and have experience watching both kittens and adult cats. I do work full time during the week, but I am available in the weekday evenings (around 4:30) and all day Saturday, Sunday, and some Fridays. Let me know your pet’s love language! Do they like long walks around the neighborhood? Snuggling on the couch? Perhaps a nice Kong full of peanut butter to wind down after a long day? Whatever your pet’s ideal day is, I will make it happen!
“Lillian was amazing! Frequent photo updates with pure joy on my animal’s faces. She was very accommodating and easy to pivot with my changing of plans. She went above and beyond and is definitely who I will book with again!”

Jazlynn has looked after my cats for multiple trips and I have no reservations about leaving them in her care while I’m away! She is very communicative and reliable! The one time our schedules didn’t align, I was upset that I had to find someone else. 😂 She will continue to be my first choice whenever I travel.

I always had a great experience with Sami. She went above and beyond—cleaning up after my cat got sick and making sure everything was taken care of. It was clear she genuinely cares about cats and their well-being. I’d definitely trust her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and reliable sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ferry Pass. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
