I've been caring for animals for more than 30 years, starting at age 4 while growing up on my parents' goat and chicken farm and around my grandparents' horses and livestock. Caring for animals of different sizes, personalities, and temperaments has been a natural part of my life for decades. What many pet parents appreciate most is my ability to understand animal behavior. I take the time to earn each pet's trust, respect their personality, and create a calm, positive environment where they can relax and feel secure while you're away. Whether your pet loves to play, prefers quiet companionship, enjoys long walks, or simply wants someone nearby, I'll meet them where they are and care for them according to their individual needs and routine. My experience includes: 🐾 Behavior & Confidence Building I enjoy reinforcing good habits through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. If requested, I'm happy to reinforce the training you're already doing at home. Some examples include: 🐈 Successfully trained two formerly feral cats to come when called, sit on command, consistently use the litter box, and become affectionate, trusting companions. 🐶 Taught a pug to retrieve and neatly line up his leash, harness, and collar by the door in less than 30 days. 🐕 Helped eliminate excessive door barking in a friend's dog in under four hours using calm, consistent behavioral techniques. 🐕‍🦺 Rehabilitated my own overweight pit bull by helping him lose 30 pounds in two months while teaching reliable recall, heel, sit, stay, and excellent leash manners. I also successfully socialized him around other dogs and established dependable bathroom routines. Medication While I haven't needed to administer medication to pets in recent years, I'm comfortable following detailed instructions provided by you. Whether it's oral medication, topical treatments, or another routine, I'll take the time to ensure it's administered carefully, safely, and exactly as directed. If I ever have questions, I'll communicate with you immediately so you can feel completely confident in your pet's care. I know you're trusting someone with a member of your family—not "just a pet." That's a responsibility I don't take lightly, and I strive to make every visit an experience that leaves both you and your pet happy, comfortable, and looking forward to the next one. I currently work part-time, which gives me consistent availability during the day. My typical availability is: Monday–Friday: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM Additional availability may be possible depending on scheduling, so feel free to ask. I'm happy to discuss scheduling to see if we're a good fit. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. My goal is to maintain the routines you've established so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. I'll carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and household guidelines exactly as you provide them. Communication is very important to me. If I notice anything unusual about your pet's behavior, appetite, health, or environment, I'll contact you immediately. Likewise, if I have any questions about your instructions, I'll reach out rather than make assumptions. I know firsthand how much pets mean to their families, so I care for every animal with the same attentiveness, patience, and respect I'd want for my own.

About: Lifelong love for animals combined with hands on veterinary experience. I’ve loved animals since I was little, grew up wanting to become a veterinarian, and have owned pets my entire life, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I also worked for 3 years as a Veterinary Assistant, where I gained experience safely handling pets, recognizing changes in behavior, and helping animals feel comfortable in stressful situations. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, and I’ll care for yours with patience, attention, and lots of love. Just like I would my own. Currently own a Orange Tabby Cat named Sammy who is the love of my life :) I’m currently a stay at home cat mom. This allows me to have open availability and flexible scheduling, so I can dedicate plenty of time to playing with, caring for, and giving attention to your pets throughout the day. When caring for pets, my top priorities are safety, trust, and making sure your pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment. I understand how important it is to trust someone with both your pet and your home, and I take that responsibility seriously.
