“Jana is such a blessing! She has taking great care of our less that year old mini-dachshund like a pro! He loves going to her house. Jana sends pictures and communicates so well! She has been flexible with us during family illnesses and flight changes, etc.”

“Gina was the BEST! She took care of Daisy like she was her own, and we will definitely be using Gina for any future dog sitting needs in Birmingham. Thank you for sending so many cute pictures of Daisy having fun!”

“Krystal is an amazing, caring, and attentive dog sitter. She took such great care of our dog while we were on vacation to Gulf shores. Our dog has a lot of anxiety when we leave her and when we dropped her off, I could tell she felt more at ease with Krystal and also got along very well with her dog. Krystal sent us updates and photos the whole time we were away which we loved! It was wonderful not having to worry about our dog while we were away as we knew she was in such great care with Krystal. I highly recommend Krystal!”

“Very quick to respond and was super helpful when I needed to adjust my drop off time. Provided plenty of updates and photos while I was gone. Would book again and I highly recommend to others!”

“Cheryl did a great job with our dog Kenna. She was very attentive to her needs and was great about sending pictures and videos every day despite caring for a couple of other dogs as well.”

“Sofia was an absolute godsend. She's incredibly dependable, professional and kind. And it's a bonus that she's a vet tech. I had never left my dog with a stranger before, so I was nervous about leaving her for a weekend. But Sofia was so communicative and responsive that my anxiety quickly vanished. I will 100% user her again.”

“The entire experience from scheduling the doggie sleepover to pickup was fantastic!! At drop off Celeste and her husband were welcoming to both myself and my dog Eddie. Soon after drop off I received pictures of Eddie playfully Interacting with their two dogs. Later I received pictures and video of Eddie lounges in the living room. The pictures really helped me relax and enjoy my weekend away, knowing Eddie was in great hands!!”

“Elaine took great care of Mordy while I was out of town. He came home exhausted from playing with Mango. Elaine sent me lots of pictures while he was with her and that really put me at ease. I would definitely use Elaine again!! ”

“Linda was super hospitable as always. Rosie had the best time and enjoyed the play time with other pups. I appreciate Linda’s flexibility and willingness to make schedule adjustments. Look forward to our next trip.”

“Erica kept our dogs for a full week and we are thrilled and impressed with her care and communication. When she says she’ll treat your dog just like they’re hers, it’s not a cliche. She means it! We have no complaints. Erica exceeded all of our expectations. Ted and Aria love you and so do we. You’re family now.”

“My golden Clark stayed with Susan for 9 days while we went on a trip. Susan sent pictures and we were able to fully enjoy our time away because we knew Clark was in good hands. Due to recent medical issues, Clark has required medications daily and Susan was very receptive and helpful in making sure he didn’t miss a dose. Will definitely rebook for our next trip!”

About: Hi friends! Thanks for taking the time to read my bio. I'm here because I would LOVE to get some steps in with your fur baby! Or just chill and give them back scratches if thats their preference. I love all dogs, no matter their age or breed. Volunteering at shelters has been a hobby of mine since childhood. Ive been a dog walker for Wag! for years but am switching to Rover because the Wag app is terribly glitchy. My most recent adventure has been fostering shelter pups - we currently had a foster fail situation which is how I got my current fur child, Indie. I've always adopted shelter dogs; to include labs, pitbulls, mixed breeds, and now a goldendoodle! I joined Rover in hopes of doing it more because I enjoy helping busy people take care of their precious pups. I'm a FOND believer of spoiling your pets. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my knowledge or experience. :) I'm currently in between jobs and have LOTS of time to love on your precious fur baby. Let's schedule some time together and make some memories! I'm in a 2 bedroom apartment with a friendly goldendoodle to keep your pup company. Our days consist of many walks, and going to the dog park. We have one in the complex but I also enjoy going to the city parks. I am happy to let your baby sleep in the bed with me or I can crate them. Whatever your preference is, let's talk about it.
About: I am an animal lover looking to make a little extra income while working 5 day a week job as well. I have had dogs and cats all my life, so I am experienced. I also have 2 kids, for boarding, pups would need to well experienced with kids as well as other dogs! We have a fenced in yard and the dogs can be separated. I can watch the fur babies on weekends or nights of the week as well, if needed. I do some grooming as well, so bath and groom can be added. Owners can specify anything else needed. I work 8-5 currently 5 days a week so it would be after work time mostly 5-7 or local in my lunch break 11 or 1 . Fenced in yard they go out to play 2-3 times a day and get fed before bed. They are placed in kennels to eat as well as sleep.

“Majorca, was great. I wouldn’t change a thing. She took my dogs on very short notice, and took great care of them. She sent plenty of pictures and videos of the dogs playing and having fun. I will definitely use her again. I recommend her 100%!”

“We had such a wonderful experience! Jellybean was so well cared for, and it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. They went above and beyond even giving her a sweet birthday toy and card, which was incredibly thoughtful. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch”

“Peggy was so great with our boys! It was the 1st time used Rover and left them, and we will definitely do it again. They played like they were at a home away from home!”

“Sydney was wonderful—she sent photos of Leonidas everyday he was with her and he was such a happy pup when I picked him up! I can feel how positive the energy is in Sydney’s home and how well she cared for him. He loved playing with her dog and being with a family while I was away. Thank you so much Sydney!”

“Aleisha was awesome with GG. GG was GG so that meant lots of love and play time with the other Family Critters. When I picked her up after a week GG was happy, healthy, and CLEAN! What 4 legged girl doesn't like a hot bath after a week of playing and good loving? Thank You Aleisha and Family. JP”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
