About: Iv taken care of my dogs and friends dogs for as long as I can remember. I believe that dogs are our children and it’s important for you to trust the person taking care of them! I’m home on Saturday and Sundays all day and Monday, Wednesday and Friday I work doubles so I would take them out before work and on break and after work. And my family will also take them out with our dogs! I have a large fenced in yard. I have two dogs, Cooper and Bowser. Cooper is super sweet and good with other dogs. Bowser is a Maltese Chihuahua mix and barks a lot but doesn’t bite. My grandpa lets the dogs out in the backyard about every hour and I will walk your dog on my breaks and before work!
“Lauryn was super sweet and accommodating. Her communication was amazing. Lauryn kept me up to date and sent lots of pictures of my baby while I was out of town.”

“Ruben is awesome. He is patient and caring. Spot had a great time. Ruben took the efforts to make Spot's stay comfortable. Spot looked happy and in good shape when we picked him up. Ruben's Cat Simba is awesome. My only future request for him would be to update us mord frequently with photos.”

“Allie was friendly, warm, and responsive. I received pictures and regular updates. Butter looked so calm and happy at her house. I will recommend Allie and will definitely use her again.”

“my dogs LOVE mia and their family! i usually get home from a trip and get the cold shoulder or anxiety from my boys. this time i think they miss mia as much as they missed me! mia sent me frequent photos and in every single one my boys were having a blast 🧡 i could tell mia really cared about their wellbeing! their medication schedules and my one boy being on prescription food makes me nervous about going to a kennel with so many dogs that they could potentially get looked over. no shade to those businesses but with senior dogs needing specialized care im so grateful we found mia. will definitely be repeat customers!”

“Ileana was very responsive when we first reached out and we were able to do a meet and greet which was great! We received daily pictures and we could tell Kona had a great time with Ileana. Drop off and pick up were great too and we will for sure contact Ileana on the future. Thank you!”
“Graham is wonderful and Phoenix seems to have enjoyed himself immensely...in spite of the unexpected snow. Ha ha!! I really appreciate the pics Graham sent, his communication and flexibility. I will definitely book again!”

“Kristin was great with my dogs. She gave medicine for one and cooked them special foods that I brought. She sent pictures and videos and was very prompt with any questions/concerns I had. I’d definitely recommend Kristin for your pup!”

“Penny spent a week with Lindsey and her pack and she seemed to be very happy and content with her stay. Lindsey provided updates every morning and evening, letting me know that Penny had eaten her food and what she had done for the day. She also included pictures in which I could tell Penny was having fun. During her visit it was July 4 and Penny is extremely scared of fireworks. Lindsey made a safe space for Penny and checked on her consistently. I feel that Penny was in good hands with Lindsey and her family. I would not hesitate to leave Penny with Lindsay again!”

“Ellie really enjoyed staying with Ivania and her dog, Lex. She went the extra mile to make sure Ellie was well taken care of and was very accommodating during the booking process. If you're looking for a great dog sitter, look no further!”

“Courtney did a great job! No worries while we were away, and we came back to a calm and happy dog - we will definitely use Courtney's Rover service again.”

“Courtlyn did a wonderful job of watching our golden retriever, Marty! She gave us updates everyday and even bathed him for us when he had a little too much fun outside! She was super to contact and communicate with and we will definitely be booking with her again!”

“We had a great experience with Monica's family watching our little guy for the weekend. She was very flexible with drop off and pick up and willing to work with what he needed. He is still a puppy at 6mo old, so there were some potty issues and anxiety being in a new place but everyone handled it well.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mobile
Katherine was an absolute blessing and cared for Andi so well. It is very hard for me to trust anyone with my fur babies but I would absolutely trust Katherine again in the future. She kept me updated, sent photos, responded in an impressively, timely fashion which helped settle my nerves more. Took Andi on walks to help keep her stimulated and just overall treated her well. Not only was she kind to my baby but kind overall. Very highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
