“Aaron was great! Sent daily updates and I could just tell my Nova girl was having the best time. I knew from our initial meet and greet Nova would be in good hands and was so happy she’d have some company. THANKS AGAIN AARON!”

“Rich and Kayla were awesome sitters. They took on the car of our 10 month old velociraptor without a second thought! Kayla sent daily updates with pictures and even gave him a bath (after he was bad and decided to they needed a hole in their backyard). 😐 Thank you again for taking such great care of Barley! He said it was just like summer camp and can’t wait to come swim again.”

“This is my second time booking with Robert and everytime he does an awesome job. My anxious dog who is scared of humans greeted him everytime he came home and even let him pet her. He is a great dog sitter!”

“Chloe was amazing! I was worried about leaving our puppy for the first time, but Chloe made the process so much easier. She is attentive, responsible, and caring and we will most definitely use her in the future. Champ loved his time at Chloe’s!!”

“She was absolutely amazing. Even though she doesn’t have a yard, my puppy got plenty of walks and trips to the dog park. She responded quickly to all of my questions, which I really appreciated. I also forgot to pack a bowl, but she reassured me it was fine and took care of it. She even sent lots of photos and videos of my puppy, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I picked him up, he was excited to see me but also whining because he was leaving them—that really showed me he was treated like family. I would definitely book with her again.”

“Anna was so wonderful with my Max, I got pics and videos every day! She was a vet tech and I felt so comfortable with her knowledge of all his old man medications ? She was also very accommodating when I was going to be out of the country using a different app so we could communicate. Max is even going to be with her for the holidays as well when I’m out of town. I have no doubts he will have another wonderful mini vacation at Anna’s.”

“Jessica was great! This was my first time using Rover and leaving my dog with a someone with other dogs in the house, and it couldn’t have went any better. She was very informative during the meet and greet at her house, and provided daily photo updates during my dogs stay which made me feel much better throughout. I could tell my GSD was well taken care of and definitely enjoyed being with the other dogs and with Jessica in her home. Definitely consider Jessica for your pets boarding or sitting needs! Thank you again for a great experience, and will absolutely use your great service in the future if I can!”

“I was out of town for a few days, and Harvey took very good care of my puppies. When I dropped them off, they were so excited it was like they already knew him, even though it was their first time meeting him. He shared pictures of them while I was away, and they looked very happy and relaxed. When I picked them up, they still seemed so happy (aside from being excited to see me, of course!). I would recommend Harvey with no problem if you need someone kind and sweet to take care of your pets.”

“Ginny did such an amazing job, my dog Apollo was treated wonderfully. He was there for about two weeks with a mixture of other dogs. I had frequent updates, and was told how he was being treated - the peace of mind was fantastic. I would easily book with Ginny again, I cannot recommend her enough.”

“Chelsee did a fantastic job with our two dogs. She communicated with us every day and asked questions about anything she thought might be concerning. We really appreciated that and I’m sure our furbies did too!”

“Macie was so amazing. I love how Bleu feel like he was right at home. He was so comfortable around her and her family and that had made me feel so good inside. I would highly recommend Macie to watch your fur baby. I will definitely have her to watch Bleu again. Macie, thank you so much! 🤗”

“Renee is nice, her house is nice (although I didn't see the backyard so I can't comment there). She has several small dogs who played with Walter. She was good about texting pictures and communication.”

About: All my life, I thought I was a cat person. Then Jameson and Christopher happened… and I got converted. 😂🐾 Now I research dog behavior, work on training and commands, and probably get way too excited when they listen and learn something new. I’m patient, very hands-on, and affectionate. I believe structure and consistency are the key to almost everything. I also have two tweens who help care for our dogs and absolutely love having another furry friend around to play with and give attention to. With me, your dog gets walks, playtime, attention, treats (with your permission!), belly rubs, and people who genuinely enjoy having dogs around. And because I speak English and Spanish, my dogs are bilingual. 😂 So there’s a small chance yours goes home knowing a little Spanish too. 😉🐾 I’m a full-time mom, and I homeschool my two boys, which means my schedule is flexible, intentional, and home-centered. Daily walks, playtime, feeding schedules, training, and supervision are part of my normal rhythm. Routine and reliability matter in my household. Pets are supervised, engaged, and treated like family, not left alone for long stretches. I care for pets the same way I care for my own kids: with routine, attention, and respect. I stick closely to feeding schedules, exercise needs, and home rules. While I don’t have a patio, we’re five minutes from the dog park and can take daily walks to nearby nature spots.

“Alexandra was excellent with our two dogs. Received daily updates with lots of pictures and she responded to our messages and questions quickly. One of the dogs suffers from separation anxiety and she did all that she could to make Charlie comfortable. Extremely pleased with her service. Definitely recommend”

“Laura took great care of our pups while we were away! She kept us updated, sent pictures, helped one of our dogs with a bug bite, and even had them brushed and ready to come home. We’re so grateful and would definitely book again!”

“We had a great experience leaving our sweet little Leo. They sent us updates, pictures, and videos. He even got a little bath before we picked him up. If we ever find ourselves in Destin again, we will definitely be dropping Leo off here.”

“What a wonderful time Tiny had with Adrienne and her family. She stayed in contact to let us know Tiny was comfortable. We did not worry a bit on our trip. We will definitely use her again!! Thank you for making Tiny your family dog while we were away.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
