“Wonderful family! Very attentive to Solo’s schedule and adherence to our house rules. Solo felt immediately comfortable in their home and loved his stay. Great communication and daily updates.”

“Hi Eberyone, I had another really great experience with Rover and the dog sitter I chose. Barbara sent pictures and updates every single day. I didn't want to be the worry wart Mom but I guess I was. I was so relieved when I heard from her. The cool part is that the dogs met outside. Farley loved her two lttle friends right away. Never did the Mr Macho stuff he usually does around other dogs. I knew they would all get along great. I will recommend Barbara and Rover to everyone I know that boards their dogs. It was another fantastic experience. To top it off - he came home very relaxed. Which hasn't been the case at other times. Thanks again Barbara. Oh, and Rover.com for such a great experience.”

“Aaron was great! Sent daily updates and I could just tell my Nova girl was having the best time. I knew from our initial meet and greet Nova would be in good hands and was so happy she’d have some company. THANKS AGAIN AARON!”

“Ashley was awesome! Super easy to get everything set up! Daily updates and photos multiple times a day. Very flexible on my pickup, since I was flying back into town and was unsure exactly when I would get back. She is the Best!”

“We had a great experience! She took excellent care of our dogs, kept us updated, and made us feel completely comfortable while we were away. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and clearly received plenty of attention. We would absolutely trust her with them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.”

“Nikki took very good care of my elderly Aussie for a long weekend. She doesn't get along well with new dogs, but Nikki was patient, and knew how to help her relax. I could tell she enjoyed her stay with Nikki when I saw the videos she sent and when I picked her up!”

“Samantha is absolutely incredible with dogs. Her little ones love them too! We've boarded with her 3+ times and it's such a relief knowing our dog is in good hands. She's got a great backyard, and lots of space indoors too. My lazy pup preferred sleeping by the kids at the kitchen table, and she had no issues making sure my pup was happy wherever she wanted to be. She took her on longer walks as well, so it wasn't just backyard time. Highly recommend!”

“This is my second time booking with Robert and everytime he does an awesome job. My anxious dog who is scared of humans greeted him everytime he came home and even let him pet her. He is a great dog sitter!”

About: It's great to have a dog around!! From my first dog Cookie to boarding my Uncle's dog Fearless..well you just fall in love. Dogs force me to be the outdoor person I was meant to be..how can I say no to a walk?? I am super disciplined about feeding, watering, and any special needs. Can't wait to meet your furry friend... I am around most days and can be flexible depending on owners needs. I don''t require a lot of notice for walks, sitting, and or boarding. My home is dog ready..I have a fenced yard and a dog park close to me. Flexible accomodations..can have dogs run free in home..can crate if necessary. Fenced yard complete with turf grass. I live on a dead end street in a semi private neighborhood.
“Jessica and her family took great care of my fur baby while I was on vacation. She fit right in and was hesitant to leave. Will definitely use Jessica again when I am in town.”
“This was our first time leaving our dog Max with a sitter for a trip. It could not have gone better. Hollie kept us updated with texts and photos and it was obvious that our dog was getting loved and spoiled just as much as he does at home. We could not be more grateful that Max was in such good hands while we were away. I highly recommend Hollie to anyway looking for a safe happy to place to leave their puppers, and we will definitely use her again in the future! Thanks again to you and your family!”

“Tatiana took great care of my baby! She sent tons of pics and updates throughout her entire stay! My pup came back tired, happy and clean! We will be using her again ☺️”

“My pup, Sadie seemed to really enjoy her stay with Lisa. Sadie is a rescue and is very timid of others and nervous in new environments. She seemed immediately at ease with Lisa. Lisa was able to provide her with the calm environment she needed, was very responsive, and kept me informed daily with photos and day to day on how my pup was doing. We will definitely use her again!”

“Wipaporn is just excellent! Took care of our puppy for a week, every day she sent us pictures and videos of our puppy always keeping us updated on how our dog was doing. Will definitely use of her services again in the future. Thanks for everything Wipaporn!!!”

“Amazing! Gave me updates of both of my pets everyday, even when I felt like a bother asking for specific needs she made sure they were done! Would book again when I need sitting again.”

“Our pup, Lexi, seemed like she had the best time and she was so happy with them! I loved getting all the pictures from Kyle and Laura. I think we have found our repeat boarder for Lexi.”

“She was so amazing with my dog I just rescued! He absolutely LOVED her and she took such good care of him while he was still recovering ❤️🩹 100% the best dog sitter I’ve had!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
