About: Hi there! I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. From energetic puppies to senior pets who just want a calm companion, I truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality and needs. For the past 7 years, I’ve worked as a professional animal trainer with marine mammals—so patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement are at the core of everything I do. I bring that same thoughtful, reward-based approach to working with dogs and other pets. I currently have a small Pomeranian mix of my own, so I understand just how important it is to trust someone with your four-legged family member. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and well-being are always my top priorities—and I’ll care for them just like they’re part of my own family. Pet care fits easily into my routine alongside my 9–5 schedule. I’m available for morning and evening visits during the week, and I’m fully available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for more flexible care. I’m careful to only accept bookings I can fully commit to, so every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and comfort level, whether in my home or yours. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and preferred routines. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and a calm, safe environment. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and work to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. My goal is always to keep your pet happy, stress-free, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Ashley always cares for our dog like one of her own. She sends lots of pictures and updates while sitting and we enjoyed reading and viewing the updates. Wonderful experience for our dog as always!”

“Robert and his wife have been so awesome! We’ve used them multiple times and our dogs are always excited and run right in to his home when we drop them off. We are sad we’re moving and won’t be able to keep using them!”

“Jeannette and her family were great! They gave my pup lots of love and playtime while I was away. She communicated well and was good with keeping me updated on how my pup was doing!”

“Renee is nice, her house is nice (although I didn't see the backyard so I can't comment there). She has several small dogs who played with Walter. She was good about texting pictures and communication.”

“Million was great! Our pups were with her for 6 days. It was the first time we left our 4 yr old with anyone but family, and our 10 yr old requires daily medication. We were nervous, but she was amazing! She was very attentive and sweet with our fur babies. She kept us updated with pictures everyday. They were happy and having fun. I would not hesitate to book with Million again!!”

About: I have had a deep passion for dogs since I was a young girl. My experience in dog care began in high school when I cared for a sick loved one’s dog. Over the course of that year, I not only gained a best friend but also developed a strong sense of responsibility and an appreciation for the joy and companionship that comes with caring for animals. Over the past 3–4 years, I have continued building my experience through dog sitting, and for the past two years, I have worked in a dog daycare and boarding facility. These experiences have strengthened my dedication to providing attentive, compassionate care while maintaining a safe and structured environment. I am committed to supporting both pets and their owners with reliability and professionalism. I start my mornings by getting my son to school between 8:30-9. Mondays & Thursdays I Work From Home with 1 dog. Tuesday Wednesday & Thursdays I’m Working In Destin. Bubba has soccer now so we attend practices and games. At my home I have a fenced backyard, enough space to crate 1-3 dogs if need be. I want the dog to be as comfortable as possible, a home away from home. As for clients homes , they are to be treated with respect & cleanliness it is their safe space, same as my home.
“Highly recommend Chris! Very easy to work with and excellent care for our dog Roscoe. Roscoe is a blind senior dog and we are very comfortable with having Chris care for our sweet boy with extra needs. Great for someone vacationing in the area and nervous about someone caring for their pet.”

“Sam is an amazing dog person and sitter. I’ve used her multiple times and Thor always has a great time. She sends pictures of him when he’s outside which is always a great thing to get. Would definitely recommend and will continue to use her services in the future!”

About: Hey there! I’m LeeAnn 🙃 I’m here to help with your cutest, cuddly kitty and sweetest pupper needs! Whether I’m popping in for potty breaks, a quick stroll or making sure Whiskers can’t see there’s an empty spot in the food bowl (Cat parents, am I right?) Honestly I’m looking for something that allows the ability to create my own “flexible” schedule and be more present for my kiddos..the less furrier ones, although they act like wild animals! 🤪 I follow the instructions of the owners requests! In the summertime I am very mindful of the heat* I take a lot of shorter walks for the safety of myself and the dog - I want them to get their energy out but also don’t want the hot pavement burning their paws and/or a heat stroke for the animal nor myself. A lot of inside play consist of toy play! But again, I’m always going to be mindful of owner requests/demands
“Carla was exceptionally wonderful with my Rylee. She was very caring and loving with her as if Rylee was her puppy girl. Her son was also caring and seemed to enjoy helping out with Rylee’s care. I feel their calm warm home was an asset too. Carla was excellent informing me of how she was doing plus, sharing many photos. I truly feel that Carla deserves 10+ stars!! I will definitely be hiring Carla again to care for my ole girl, Rylee.♥️🐾”

“I was traveling to Florida and couldn’t keep my dog with me for a weekend. Luckily he had a great stay with Tammy and friends- he seemed to have a lot of fun and I peace of mind knowing that he was doing well thanks to Tammy’s great communication the whole weekend.”

“Gabriella was absolutely amazing! She responded fast when I asked for help with my pet. She explained everything so clearly and I knew I had nothing to worry about with Cuddles. She sente several pictures everyday!”

“Marcie was awesome from the booking to pickup. She works hard to accommodate and Rusty was a very happy boy. I would definitely recommend and I will be a repeat client.”

“Allison was absolutely amazing. She was so communicative and we were completely at ease while leaving our dogs away from home for the first time. She sent photos every day and we didn’t worry about them not one single time. We felt both our dogs were in great hands. She followed instructions very clearly and managed both of our large 70 pound dogs.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Valparaiso
Let me start out by saying that I have been using Rover since its inception so I have had the opportunity of using many of Rovers sitters, that said out of all of them Erik was the very best.. He was so kind to my boys that I felt like I was leaving them with family.. Erik sent videos and pictures daily and kept in touch almost everyday..with a fenced in back yard. And multiple daily walks my boys had their exercise!! The best part for me is he didn’t take in multiple ( 4-6) pets like others that I have used.. He is #1on my list..

Nikki A and her family were the absolute best! They were able to take our girls in at the last minute when our sitter we had book cancelled a few days before our trip. She keeps you posted with video's and pictures daily. Nikki is quick to respond to your messages. I highly recommend!

Cheryl was recommended by a friend who also had a semi high needs furbaby. She did an amazing job keeping my boy happy, administering his medication, and enforcing his elimination diet. He has epilepsy and this is the first time he has come home from a Rover sitter and NOT had a seizure afterward. I’m thankful I found her and you will be too!

We were very pleased with the care Liznel gave our kitties! She was available to watch them after our initial Rover person cancelled the week of our vacation. She was flexible with drop off and pickup and handled giving them meds very well. The cats adapted to their new home well and enjoyed the attention from Liznel and her daughter. A great experience overall.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
