“Erika always takes such great care of our fur baby! We came back to her as she did the best last visit and she always kept us updated, pictures, such great communication! I highly recommend her to anyone who visits!”

“Aurora was the most genuine animal lover I have ever met. Luna was in perfect hands. I was actually afraid she would not want to come home with me. Aurora sent pictures throughout the day that captured Luna's experience while in Aurora's care. They were a relief for me just to know that Luna was in great hands. Thank you Aurora, I will definitely be getting in touch upon my return to Panama City.”

“Erik sent updates and pictures to let us know how Nellie was getting on throughout her stay. Being a Border Collie, she can get quite anxious but settled really well. Thanks Erik!”

“We had an amazing experience with our dog sitter! She took incredible care of our dog, treated her like family, played with her constantly, and made sure she was happy and comfortable the entire time. We especially appreciated all the photo and video updates — it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can truly tell she cares about animals and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and caring. Definitely a 5-star experience!”

“Rich and Kayla were awesome sitters. They took on the car of our 10 month old velociraptor without a second thought! Kayla sent daily updates with pictures and even gave him a bath (after he was bad and decided to they needed a hole in their backyard). 😐 Thank you again for taking such great care of Barley! He said it was just like summer camp and can’t wait to come swim again.”

About: I have cared for and trained my dog, my mother’s and grandmother’s dogs. I have also provided a variety of personal home-care services to senior citizens, special needs children & nannied off and on throughout my early adult life. I love caring for and helping others. I substitute teach during the school year and I would love to care for pets during the summer time! It is my goal to at least work part time on top of another part time job! :) I have an apartment where I can keep pets for a short amount of time; we have a nice walking area and a dog park.
“Jessica and her family took great care of my fur baby while I was on vacation. She fit right in and was hesitant to leave. Will definitely use Jessica again when I am in town.”
“I highly recommend Logan. Our dog was happy from the time we dropped him off all the way through to us picking him up. We were nervous because we had never done this before, but we are so happy with how our dog was taken care of.”

One of the dogs suffers from separation anxiety and she did all that she could to make Charlie comfortable. Extremely pleased with her service. Definitely recommend”

“Jordan was fantastic and took great care of my fur baby. My pup can be high maintenance, but Jordan was very good at attention to detail and great with interacting with her and sending photos.”

“Sariah replies promptly to communication and took great care of our Marty. He had so much fun playing with the other dogs! Sariah was also great about sending photos and videos of Marty during his stay so that I knew he was having a great time. I would book with Sariah again in a heartbeat! (And I’m pretty sure Marty would go play at her house every day if he could).”

“Valerie watched our little Winston over the long holiday weekend. We had a wonderful experience and Winston was very well cared for. Valerie sent us photos and updated each day. Winston enjoyed the playmates and the big back yard. He came home pampered and happy. We will not hesitate to use Valerie again, she is great with the pups.”

Lina was great with my toy Aussie who is a bit of a handful! He requires lots of kindness & understanding as he is scared of everything! Lina did a great job at making him feel comfortable. She sent lots of updates, pictures and even a fun video! Will definitely use Lina again in the future!

I cannot recommend this sitter enough! We needed last-minute help with our cat, and she went above and beyond. She took amazing care of our cat, cleaned up after her, and made sure everything was taken care of while we were away. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat and complete peace of mind. We’re so grateful for her help and will definitely be booking with her again. Thank you!

I cannot thank you enough for taking care of my babies at the last-minute booking. Francis is super communicative and solution-oriented, especially since it's the first time they were apart. I felt comfortable and secure with her. Definitely, when I go back to the town, I will book here again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
