“This is by far the only place we will take Makko!! They love him like their own💜 Makko does not even say bye to us anymore. Straight to their front door looking for his friends!! Love this”

“Courtney and David took exceptional care of our pup! They treated her as their own during her stay and our Luna loved playing with their dog, Aspen! They even included our dog on their weekend outing with them ❤️ I look forward to using them again in the future and I’m sure Luna will be thrilled to go back!”

“Rosemary and Matthew were very responsive and my boy seemed to have a great time with their family. I really appreciated their efforts to maintain my dog's established schedule and rule following! Would definitely recommend/book with this family again!”

“We had an amazing experience with our dog sitter! She took incredible care of our dog, treated her like family, played with her constantly, and made sure she was happy and comfortable the entire time. We especially appreciated all the photo and video updates — it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. You can truly tell she cares about animals and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and caring. Definitely a 5-star experience!”

“Paula is very much and animal lover and it was obvious that we were leaving Toby in good hands. This was the longest he has been away from his family and I was a little worried especially considering his age. Paula kept me informed and sent pictures which put us completely at ease. I highly recommend her and will use her again in the future.”

“Sheila came through in a pinch when my dog sitter cancelled at the last minute. She kept me updated with pics and made me feel like I was dropping my dog off with family. Definitely recommend!”

“This was the first time ever we were leaving our pups - Jethro/GSD 91lbs and Jake/Ausie 77lbs and we were extremely reluctant. We scoured through tons of reviews and chose Ana. As soon as we walked in the door we knew we made the right choice. We've already rebooked for next month. She did a wonderful job!”

“Such a great experience! We hadn't boarded our doggo since 2019 and Alexandra made it such a wonderful experience for us and our Sophie. Daily pictures and checkins, and even sent her home with her handwashed food bowl. Will absolutely use again!”

“Erik totally exceeded my expectations in every way. When I saw how happy and just overall well kept my dog hootie was when I came to pick him up , I knew I made the best decision on who to pick to take care of my dog. Erik too my dog hootie out for long walks everyday, which is one of my dogs favorite activities besides playing, or fetching tree branches. Overall, I can honestly say that Erik provided my dog the best care. I wish I had baby sitters for my kids when they were young that would have been as great as Erik was with my dog. My big 185 lb Boy Hootie even looked like he went to the groomer’s when I picked him up. Erik really showed me that he really has that love for animals and I’m so happy we were able to experience such great care for my mastiff. I would definitely recommend Erik, especially if you have trust issues. Erik definitely knocked down that wall of “fear” I had with leaving my dog with anyone. Such a super great , respectful young man. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give Erik 10+ ⭐️ ‘s . I will definitely be utilizing his services again.”

“Another amazing experience with Daniela! This was Penny’s second stay with Daniela, and it went just as smoothly as the first if not better. Daniela has such a calm and loving energy that Penny clearly feels at home with her. I got regular updates and adorable photos that showed just how comfortable (and spoiled) Penny was. Daniela goes above and beyond, not just watching your pet, but genuinely caring for them like they’re her own. It’s such a relief knowing I can trust her with my pup. Thank you again, Daniela Penny can’t wait to come back!”

“Dana and her family are passionate animal lovers. They watched out Goldie for two nights. She sent pictures and videos and many updates. He came home calm and happy. I can tell his time in her home was fun and restful. We will be utilizing Dana's services again! Thank you, Dana for making Grizzly feel like one of your family.”

“Oakie was a great sitter for my dog. It was last minute but she was able to accommodate us and we were so thankful that she could. She sent pictures daily also text and responded to my texts in a timely manner. She was the perfect match for my dog. I highly recommend her and definitely will use her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Crestview
Rich and Kayla were awesome sitters. They took on the car of our 10 month old velociraptor without a second thought! Kayla sent daily updates with pictures and even gave him a bath (after he was bad and decided to they needed a hole in their backyard). 😐 Thank you again for taking such great care of Barley! He said it was just like summer camp and can’t wait to come swim again.

This was my first time leaving my dog with a sitter, so I was naturally a little nervous. Courtney and David made the entire experience incredibly easy and reassuring from start to finish. My dog can be a bit socially anxious and tends to be nervous around other dogs at first, so I really appreciated how thoughtful they were when we arrived. They kept their dogs in the backyard initially, giving my dog time to decompress and get comfortable with his new surroundings at his own pace. Throughout his stay, they provided regular updates along with lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that he was being well cared for and having a great time. They took him on walks, let him explore their yard, and made sure he got plenty of attention and activity. Courtney and David turned what could have been a stressful first experience into a completely positive one. I would 1000% recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter, and I’ll definitely be booking with them again in the future!

Tara accepted a last minute book requests. Unfortunately, it turned out the dog we adopted 5 months ago is not okay with other dogs. She notified me right away after trying different solutions to get my dog comfortable with hers. Tara let me know as I was headed out of town, and I was able to go get Echo before heading out again. I would recommend her. She seems great with animals and someone I would use again for drop in visits!

We highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for a caring and patient dog sitter! Our dog,Brownie is a rescue dog and still in training but Paula was incredibly patient with him.We were gone for over four weeks but she sent us regular photo updates which really put our mind at ease while we were away.Thank you Paula for your outstanding care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
