“We've hired Emily multiple times and every time was a great experience. She has been essential in the adjustment of our new puppy into our home. She not only took great care of our dog, but is very knowledgable and helped with training. She is professional, prompt and provides excellent updates. We highly recommend Emily and will continue to trust her with our pup!”

“AMAZING! My cats are wellll taken care of with her. I highly recommend angelica! She kept me updated with plenty of pictures and played with my cats🥺 Thanks again for all your help i will book again!”

“We flew out-of-state for a couple weeks to see family for Christmas. We booked with Katie to look after our cats since she was so friendly and easy to work with. She went above and beyond looking after our cats, refilling their water, changing their litter, topping off their food, and even helped bringing in our mail and packages that arrived when we were away. During each visit, she took pictures of each cat so we knew they were doing alright. We will absolutely book with Katie in the future!”

“It was a pleasure to have Tammy take care of our cats while we had an out of town trip. Great communication and she took in our mail / deliveries too. Will definitely be booking Tammy again!”

“Aaliyah was wonderful with our 3 large dogs. She responded to our initial request within several hours and was able to meet and greet the next evening. The dogs all responded positively to her immediately upon entry, even our skittish Rottie mix. Each day she'd text and let us know how the dogs were doing. We'll definitely be requesting her services again, and we highly recommend her.”

“Marissa took excellent care of my 17 yr old chihuahua mix including giving his medications. She kept me updated on here visits. Will use again and recommend to other pet parents.”

“Kayla does a great job taking care of my pups. They love her and are always happy to see her. She has great communication and always keeps us. Up-to-date. Will definitely be using her again.”

“Tatiana was great with our fur babies. We had her drop in 2 times a day so they could go out to the bathroom. Always on time and spent time with them both. End up had to be out of town 1 extra night and she even took care of them till I was able to get back home. She will be my drop in sitter next time we go out of town.”
About: I have experience with senior dogs as well administering their medications. I have some mild knowledge gained from a friend who volunteered at a shelter for 2 years. Thus allowing me to better care for my own fur babies better. I’ll walk twice a day and make sure they get as many potty breaks as needed. (As I know those little old boys and gals often have go more often ) I update regularly and will send as many pictures as you’d like :). I am currently an at home caregiver for my elderly father, looking to get into college. So at the moment I have plenty of free time. I have my own vehicle as well and can easily travel to your home, or to the park. When I care for your pet I make sure to follow your instructions to a T. As someone who has senior pets and has had a dog with diet restrictions I know the importance of this. Any questions I may have I text promptly before doing. (Such as asking if a certain treat is okay or if you’re alright with me bringing over a toy). I will typically take them to our local pet park. But if your dog has anxiety like my own I have a large fenced in yard they play in while my own nervous pup stays in the house.
“I’m new to Florida & needed a sitter while I was out of state for work. Sarah was great! Awesome communication, always on time, took pictures of the pups for me, cleaned all of the waste in the backyard, and even surprised them with Christmas gifts. I highly recommend Sarah if you need someone to take good care of your pets!”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats as well as have fostered for PAWS. I work a day job from home and can be flexible on drop in times. I work a full time job from home and can stop by before I start early in the morning, at lunch time, and am more flexible in the evening. I treat all animals like they are my babies and can provide ease of mind to help you with your schedule or trips. I am not currently watching animals in my home but can drop in to yours to care for your animal.

“Allison is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! She has the most caring heart and my pups ♥️♥️♥️♥️ her! She also loves them like they are hers! We recently had one that we thought was sick and she called and asked about him and had a concern for him when she didn’t have to!”

“10/10 Recommend! Ms. Paula stayed in communication with me about my fur Baby the whole time! She went above and beyond and you can tell she truly cares and has a passion for this! Thank you again Ms. Paula!”

About: I have owned and taken care of animals since I was a young child. I grew up on a farm in Ohio where we had dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, horses and even a llama! As an adult, I have owned my own animals and they always live very happy, luxurious lives. Spoiled but healthy is key! I’m great at following directions, and proper care is at the forefront of my services! I currently work from home and am home pretty much 24/7 with the exception of appointments, errands and adventures so I have lots of time to give to not only my own animals, but animals in my care! I have a fenced in backyard perfect for a little doggie “zoomies” sesh, and a clean and pet safe interior of our home. I am home 24/7 so I am able to provide attentive and constant care to your pets, updating often with photos and even videos!
About: I have taken care of pets for mostly my whole life including puppies, pregnant dogs a bunny and turtles as well as more aggressive dogs and cats. I am a college student and take online classes for lsu. So I am available mostly any time and any day needed. I do work with people that have developmental disabilities and go to their homes and help them with tasks the schedule varies each day so I prefer to spend the night with doggies so I make sure to spend the most time with them that I can. Despite having another job I will make sure your dogs are well taken care of 😊 I make sure to follow instructions feed them on time and provide any extra care they might need like medication. Make sure to clean up after myself and the pets if they do make a mess as well as send an occasional picture.
“Jenna is always prompt, communicates well and has so much fun with Bella, our GSP is so excited every time she is there to care for her. So blessed to have Jenna :)”

About: I am available the week of March 13-22nd, the week of spring break if you would like to book early in advance! I have been on Rover for 7 years now on and off. I love connecting with the owners before hand to show I do truly care about your sweet babies you love so much💜 I have been caring for pets including my own and my friends for a few years now. Any kind of dog makes me happy and makes my day better. I always make sure the dogs needs are met if that includes playing outside with them or making sure they get their medicine every night at the right time. I do not mind giving a dog a bath or even a flea bath or treatment if needed. I have always bonded with dogs and I have never had one not like me. I am willing to learn how each dog is and make them as comfortable as possible. I want the owner to feel comfortable knowing that there dog will be well taken care of by me I work around 26-30 hours week, it's a mix between the even shifts and starting at near 11/12. I always am upfront about my schedule as it does not always fit people's needs, which I completely understand. I care for the pets in my home or their owners home like they are my own. I follow the instructions of what the owner has left for me because I want the dogs to stay on their routine and feel as normal as possible. I love giving the dogs extra love as much because you have to think they are away from their parents and definitely miss them.
“Florencia made leaving Wilma a little easier! I was very nervous about leaving Wilma for a planned vacation since she’s still a kitten and had never been left alone before for this much extended time. But we were so happy with the thoughtful care Florencia gave. I got updates and pictures daily on my sweet girl. Would highly recommend her to anyone!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
