“Robert and his wife have been so awesome! We’ve used them multiple times and our dogs are always excited and run right in to his home when we drop them off. We are sad we’re moving and won’t be able to keep using them!”

“Tyeshia was super nice and caring with Baldr. He had a splendid time relaxing with her family, being in a calm household and daily walks is Baldr's favorite past times. We will definitely be seeking her service again when we go away. Thank you Ty”

“Vanessa was a godsend. We was looking for somewhere to put our puppy last minute when we ran across the Rover app. We liked Vanessa's profile and decided to go with her. We are so glad that we did. She was very helpful as this was our first time leaving our baby. She sent plenty of pictures and videos. She was very understanding when our puppy had accidents. We could tell our little girl had a blast while she was there with her. On a scale of 1 to 10 Vanessa is an 11!”

“Judging from the pictures, my dogs had a great time at Jessica's, and I appreciate her quick replies and clear communication. I recommend her for your dog sitting needs!”

“Erik took great care of my dog while I was out of town. He provided daily updates/photos and made sure that my dog's first stay away from home was a good experience for her.”

“Outstanding! I'm pretty sure my dog Tater had more fun staying with Patricia and her family then he does with me. Pricing was fair, scheduling was super flexible, and communication was spot on. Patricia will be my go to for Taters home away from home in the future. Super happy with my and Taters experience. Thank you for taking excellent care of my little buddy while I was away.”

“She's so sweet and great with the pups. They love going to her house and don't even look back! Laura has also gone out of her way to help me with other animals who stay home, cats and birds. I'm so grateful! Highly recommend.”

“Barbara is absolutely AMAZING! I have had to change my trip so many times due to schedule changes, and she was SO accommodating. “David, Krysta, & family took incredible care of our dog at their house. They were kind, responsive, and welcomed him as one of their own. He was spoiled and I can tell he had a great weekend by how tired he was when I picked him up. They have a great backyard that he was able to get all of his energy out in. I will 100% use them again and again. Thank you!”

“We feel that Mia received the best of care from Rosemary & Matthew. I'm sure she was in good hands.....even tho she hid in the closet for most of her stay! We would use them again.”

“Nikki took very good care of my elderly Aussie for a long weekend. She doesn't get along well with new dogs, but Nikki was patient, and knew how to help her relax. I could tell she enjoyed her stay with Nikki when I saw the videos she sent and when I picked her up!”

“Laura is wonderful! Her and Ben are easy to talk to and my pets liked them both right away. Laura gave me updates and sent pictures every day which I looked forward to and made me feel reassured. I was a bit nervous dropping Nova off with someone as I was coming into town for vacation and taking her out of town to my next stop. Ana was pleasant at drop off, throughout the visit and for pickup. Pictures were sent regularly of her enjoying the time with other dogs. If I'm ever in need of services in the area I'll be booking with her.

Kalvin was great with our two dogs. We felt very comfortable with him watching our dogs as he kept us updated throughout. He kept to their walk routine and overall made it easy for them to transition to some else’s home for a whole week. We will definitely be booking with Kalvin again!

Sheila was lovely and it was obvious her love for pets. She asked clarifying question regarding meal protocols/ allergy treatment etc. She demonstrated her care and concern for Bodhi and Little Sister and communicated daily. I could tell they were at ease. I greatly appreciate her going above and beyond supporting both me and them while scouting for a new home out of state. Thank you Mzzzzzz Sheila🙏🏻

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dogs received! From start to finish, Hannah was warm, reliable, and truly attentive to every detail. She sent regular updates and photos, giving me complete peace of mind while I was away. My dogs absolutely adored Hannah and her roommate — I could tell from the happy tail wags and relaxed behavior when I saw all of the wonderful pictures. They went above and beyond, treating my pups like their own. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, communicative, and genuinely caring, I highly recommend Hannah. I will definitely be booking again!

Rachel was absolutely fantastic with our pup! Rachel went above and beyond to make sure our dog felt comfortable and loved while we were away. She sent us regular updates and tons of pictures, which really put us at ease. It was clear that she treated our pup like her own, giving her plenty of attention, playtime, and care. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a sitter!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
