“She was absolutely amazing. Even though she doesn’t have a yard, my puppy got plenty of walks and trips to the dog park. She responded quickly to all of my questions, which I really appreciated. I also forgot to pack a bowl, but she reassured me it was fine and took care of it. She even sent lots of photos and videos of my puppy, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I picked him up, he was excited to see me but also whining because he was leaving them—that really showed me he was treated like family. I would definitely book with her again.”

“Charlie's gets ALL the stars for boarding our two beagles for 4 nights on our recent visit to Miramar. We will DEFINITELY book with her again on our next trip. Her easy confidence with dogs clearly comes from her affection for them and experience with them. For the people, she communicates exactly the right amount with updates and photos. Such a pleasure to work with!”

“Jordan was fantastic and took great care of my fur baby. My pup can be high maintenance, but Jordan was very good at attention to detail and great with interacting with her and sending photos.”

“What a lovely family that cared for my Pug. First time she has stayed at their pet friendly “resort”, but she came back happy! Andrew was very accommodating to my needs for dates and Cassy’s medical needs. I would confidently refer this pet sitter and his family?”

“I was new to the area and looking to find a sitter for my dog on short notice. I connected with Nicole and she took great care of my dog during my travels. Communications were easy and she worked with me on a few scheduling challenges. My dog was very happy in her care and Nicole sent a fun video during the stay. Highly recommend.”

“Laurie did an excellent job taking care of my little Bugsy! She was very attentive and accommodating to Bugsy's needs and schedule. She also kept us up to date with plenty of pictures and we knew Bugsy was in good hands! I will definitely be using Laurie again for future stays!”

“Anna was so wonderful with my Max, I got pics and videos every day! She was a vet tech and I felt so comfortable with her knowledge of all his old man medications ? She was also very accommodating when I was going to be out of the country using a different app so we could communicate. Max is even going to be with her for the holidays as well when I’m out of town. I have no doubts he will have another wonderful mini vacation at Anna’s.”

“Carla is amazing!! Our pup had the best time with her and her son. If you are in need of a friendly, caring, and sweet family with a big yard to watch your dog, look no further.”

“Tammy is just absolutely amazing! First for my pups in being boarded and I absolutely plan utilizing her services again in the future. Can't believe my pups were a non issue, that they interacted with other pups just completely fine. Loved the updates I received while they were on their stay. Huge stress relief in utilizing Tammy's services and she was so close to the hotel we were staying in Crestview. Thank you again Tammy!”

“Allison took such great care of my cat for 5 days. He’s never been under someone else’s care for the 16 years I’ve had him. He was well cared for and felt safe. Thank you Allison!!!!!”

“Amazing! Always in contact with me. Sent daily pics. My dogs were so happy and were loved tons by Chris!! He even let them sleep in bed with him. I will 2000% rec him and be a returning client! Thanks so much!”
“Would definitely recommend! I know my girl had a great time here (apparently she loved the pool). Kayla/Richard provided photos throughout her stay and updated us on what she had been up to. Will definitely be using in the future!”

“Our River sitter did a solid job taking care of our elderly dog who needs daily medication. She was very reasonably priced, flexible with our schedule, and made the whole process easy. Nothing over the top—just reliable, straightforward care at a great value. We appreciated the affordability and convenience, and we'd happily book with her again!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was young, including dogs, cats, senior pets, and pets with special routines. I have two dogs and a three-legged cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone patient, attentive, and trustworthy caring for your pets. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, crate routines, medication reminders, basic grooming needs, and giving pets the time they need to feel safe. My background in healthcare and the military has also made me very detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and good at following instructions carefully. I know pets are family, and I treat them with the same care and respect I would want someone to give mine. I’m not currently working outside of caring for pets so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention, care, and consistency they need. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, boarding, and house sitting depending on your pet’s routine. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions for feeding, potty breaks, medications, walks, playtime, crate time, and bedtime routines. Because my schedule is open, I can give pets more one-on-one care and help keep their day as normal and comfortable as possible while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my biggest priorities. I have a fenced yard and can provide supervised potty breaks, playtime, and quiet rest time. Because I have pets of my own, I’m careful with introductions and can keep animals separated with crates, doors, or gates whenever needed. I never force interactions and always pay attention to each pet’s body language, stress level, and comfort. I’m also very careful with feeding instructions, medications, leash safety, doors, gates, and routines. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I want you to feel confident that they are being watched closely, treated kindly, and cared for like family.
“Paula is very much and animal lover and it was obvious that we were leaving Toby in good hands. This was the longest he has been away from his family and I was a little worried especially considering his age. Paula kept me informed and sent pictures which put us completely at ease. I highly recommend her and will use her again in the future.”

“Thank you so much!! We had a quick trip planned and Kyasia was able to help us out when our daycare in Pensacola couldn’t take our dog Nova. 11/10 recommend! Would have her watch Nova again. 😊 She even sent us a picture to show us how much fun Nova was having!”

“Laura was absolutely amazing! This was the very first time I wasn’t worried or a little stressed whether or not my fur babies were taken care of. She sent me updates and pictures throughout their stay, and it looks like they had so much fun. So happy to have found Laura, we will definitely keep her as our go to! Highly recommend!”

Thank you David, Krysta and family for taking such good care of our dog, Hobbes. Getting daily pictures and updates really helps with our peace of mind. It means everything to know that your pet is in good hands. I feel as if they treated Hobbes like one of their own and that is all that we could ask for!

We had Rosemary and Matthew watch our dog, Pumpkin, while we went on a cruise. Everything went perfectly and Pumpkin enjoyed her stay with them. I was sent periodic updates and pics. I will definitely be reaching out to them again next time we need a dog sitter. Highly Recommend!
Cheryl was recommended by a friend who also had a semi high needs furbaby. She did an amazing job keeping my boy happy, administering his medication, and enforcing his elimination diet. He has epilepsy and this is the first time he has come home from a Rover sitter and NOT had a seizure afterward. I’m thankful I found her and you will be too!

We were very pleased with the care Liznel gave our kitties! She was available to watch them after our initial Rover person cancelled the week of our vacation. She was flexible with drop off and pickup and handled giving them meds very well. The cats adapted to their new home well and enjoyed the attention from Liznel and her daughter. A great experience overall.

Ginny did such an amazing job, my dog Apollo was treated wonderfully. He was there for about two weeks with a mixture of other dogs. I had frequent updates, and was told how he was being treated - the peace of mind was fantastic. I would easily book with Ginny again, I cannot recommend her enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
