About: I have had pets in my life ever since I was little. So I love helping take care of them. I also am very good with puppies and teaching them new tricks, and helping with potty train. I also love helping keep dogs very active, or just chill with them and cuddle! I am a stay at home mom, so I have plenty of free time. All days of the week are good for me. I’m even available on weekends if needed. I have a fenced in backyard. I also have a dog of my own, who loves to play with others and gets along with all sizes. He loves to share his toys or just play together. Or if it’s in your own home, anywhere your fur baby loves to play! I also have dog parks around for your baby to play with or without others, and a nice neighborhood to walk around. Or we can walk around your neighborhood as well!

“Katelyn was incredible! It was a last minute decision for us to find a pet sitter for the weekend and she welcomed them with open arms! We loved the daily photos and videos, and our pups loved her family 🖤 Thank youuuu!!”
“Perfect!!! Is beyond the word I could use. Abbey made us feel so comfortable with leaving our baby with her. She gave her her meds like she was supposed to. Absolutely wonderful experience!”

“We absolutely adored Destiny, and so did our pup! Bodie doesn’t take to humans often— or quickly— but when we came to pick him up, he almost didn’t want to leave LOL! She sent us so many updates and sweet pictures during his stay, which immediately put our minds at ease. We’ll absolutely be reaching out again when Bodie needs a place to stay!”

“Paola is great dog sitter took my dogs for walks and showed her a lot of attention which I appreciated because she’s never stayed away from me! A great experience she’s knows a lot about dogs and is beyond qualified! Definitely would use her again!”

“Brittany is the #1 dog sitter. She really treats our pups like her own, even understanding their different personalities and ticks. It feels like they’re at a retreat with her, which gives us great peace of mind when we travel. Thank you!”

“Kinsey was so wonderful! She was immediately in contact, flexible with drop off/pick up, and kept us updated on our boy. She has such a great set up/yard for dogs too! We were so so happy with leaving our golden in her care.”

“Jackie was such a great sitter for our Goldendoodle puppy! She kept in close contact with us and gave us updates throughout our dog's stay. We felt comfort knowing that our lil pup was in good hands. I would recommend Jackie 100%!”

About: My name is Alexandria, and I absolutely love all the pups! I would love to care for your fur baby and get all the cuddles while you enjoy your time away! I’ve got 8+ years experience being a kennel tech and would be better accommodated if I could do it remotely. I haven’t met an animal yet that I didn’t love caring for! I work for Bay District Schools so I am off for the summer and have plenty of free time and am accommodated to sit small breed dogs. I have a 3 month old miniature schnauzer and a 5 month old plott hound beagle mix that are the light of my life aside from being a mom! I sit for family and friends but am looking to expand. I can care for pets in-home, and can be available for house visits. I’m very experienced in nail trimming and bathing. I do not offer grooming services but will if necessary.
“We could tell our baby enjoyed himself, with all the pictures she sent of him during his stay, she was very communicative and on time with everything. Ashley seemed genuinely kind and caring of watching our sweet boy while we were out of town and out of options w/ in our close family, this is our first time on the app, and It truly was a blessing, Thanks Ashley! we know who we can contact when our sweet boy needs a friend to watch take care of him!☺️”

About: I have grown up on a farm and have been taking care of animals all my life. I have a passion for helping and love all dogs and cats. I stay home right now and all of our kids are out of the house. So now I only have our furry babies at home. I provide safe and clean environment for my pets. About: I have always had animals.. mainly dogs my entire life. I have a large front and backyard for your pup to be walked. I do have a 6 year old male dachshund. But don’t worry he doesn’t meet a stranger whether it be person or animal. He would LOVE the company! I work Monday through Friday in Dothan, AL. I leave home at 7:00 am and arrive back home at 6:00 pm. I’m off on weekends. I have a large back and front yard to walk your dog. I own my own home and live alone. I have plenty of room for your dog to run and play. I also don’t mind them in the furniture as my pup never leaves my side and snuggles on the couch with me daily. And no worries he loves ALL animals. He never meets a stranger.
“I highly recommend Katrina! She was absolutely wonderful with my dog Molly. From the moment we met, I felt confident that Molly would be in good hands—and Katrina exceeded my expectations. She provided thoughtful daily updates, including photos/videos and notes, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she truly cared about Molly and treated her like one of her own. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Katrina again. Thank you for taking such great care of my girl!”

About: I have two dogs of my own who are like my children. One is a senior and the other is 3 years old. I have 20 years of pet care experience and will treat your pets as if they were my own. I know how stressful it can be away from your pets and will do all I can to help them to be happy and comfortable during their stay. I am home and my schedule remains flexible so I will be available for all your pet needs. I walk my own dogs twice per day and have regular play times in my fenced in back yard. Your pup will join us on our adventures and be one of the family. Pets will be free to roam the house and sleep on the furniture just like my own dogs. I have a crate available if your pet is used to sleeping in one. I will follow all of your instructions for your pets care to the T. I know how important it is to keep their routines as close as possible. I have a fenced in yard and there will be plenty of time to run and play with my two dogs. I have dog puzzles, pup sickles, and sniffle mats for activity time as well.
“Barb was absolutely a wonderful dog sitter! Our Labradoodle Ziggi was well taken care of and had a great time with her. Barb was very friendly and easy to communicate with. She kept us informed daily with pictures about how Ziggi was doing. We had an unexpected family emergency and had to fly out on Thanksgiving day which was already stressful and Barb made it so much easier and was very accommodating. Knowing that Ziggi would be taken care of took a lot of stress away from our trip. We would definitely use Barb again to dog sit Ziggi.”

“John took exceptionally good care of our dog Piper in his home. He checked in regularly and sent pictures of the two of them watching television together, walking, and playing in the dog park. I highly recommend him.”

Cathryn was very prompt in getting everything set up and arranging a meet and greet. She was accommodating as we prepared for the drop off. She kept us updated and sent pictures while we were out of town. It was obvious he was happy/content in staying with Cathryn. She was again accommodating for the pickup. I would recommend Cathryn as a caregiver for your pup.

Taylor was absolutely one of the best dog sitters I’ve ever had! She kept me reassured throughout my pup’s entire stay and treated him like one of her own. She sent lots of photos, videos, and updates on how he was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she genuinely cared about him and made sure he was comfortable, happy, and well taken care of. I’m so grateful I found Taylor, and I will definitely be booking with her again. I highly recommend her, she’s the best! ❤️🐾

Shannon was absolutely fabulous! My husband and I were in town to have our wedding with all of our friends and family and had planned on keeping our sweet baby with us but decided it would be best to find someone to watch him since we would be so busy over those few days. I was super nervous leaving my buddy but Shannon reassured me and even checked in throughout the few days she had him and she even sent picture updates! She was absolutely wonderful! Thank you for all you did!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
