“Caron is the absolute best!! She helped us with walking our Newfoundland on super short notice for a few days. She was so considerate in the way she cared for our baby- refreshing her water and taking lots of extra steps to make sure our pup was happy before she left. The pictures and text updates were definitely appreciated too. We will absolutely be seeking out Caron’s help for any future needs!”

About: Reliable and caring pet sitter with strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a passion for keeping pets safe, happy, and well-cared for. With years of experience. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home and maintain a very flexible schedule. I’m available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins, and I can easily adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s needs. This allows me to provide consistent attention, care, and companionship, ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for. In my home, I provide a safe, spacious, and welcoming environment. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I make up for it with multiple daily walks and trips to the dog park twice a day for exercise and socialization. I also have two children and a friendly dog, so your pet will have plenty of companionship and feel right at home. In a client’s home, I follow your pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care—so they stay comfortable in their familiar environment.

“Alex is wonderful folks! She is reliable, dependable and provides feedback almost instantly! She is great with larger dogs and she sends lots of photos and provides updates!!! About: I’ve taken care of multiple dog breeds throughout my life. Ranging from bloodhounds, German shepherds, to Belgian Malinois and others. I’m very familiar with working dog breeds and have trained myself own Belgian Malinois. No matter what need your furry family member needs, I will ensure it is met and exceeded. Currently I’m in the Army National Guard so I have tons of availability and free time to devote to animals and pet care. I also spend tons of time outside and hiking with my Belgian Malinois. I have a wooden fully fenced in back yard. I also am familiar with escapee dogs and am very quick to respond to many situations when needed. I am not afraid of confrontation so that is not a worry either.

“Cheryl is great and was a huge help with my ever changing schedule and her ability to work with that was great. Highly recommend her for anything regarding to pups. She was great with my pup and I couldn’t have asked for a better person!”

About: I've been fostering puppies locally since 2022. All the effort and mess (let's be real) is worth it for puppy breath and dog snuggles. I prioritize socialization and I can reinforce basic skills. We have lots of toys and play outside too. I stay at home so I have lots of time to provide care and attention. I am not away from the house for more than an hour or so, for any dogs that need close attention. I have a fenced back yard and a dedicated room inside the home. I have a pen, a large crate as well as a medium crate.

“Rebekah was so wonderful with our pups when she watched them on our recent vacation. She communicated and sent pictures with each visit of all the fun they were having. Seeing that they were being taken such good care of really helped me to enjoy my trip. She made sure to ask questions to make sure any special instructions were clear and really made everything just right bc when we returned home, the dogs were just as happy as they could be! Rebekah's love of animals is evident by the way she interacts with them, and especially the ease with which she was able to bond with and handle my sweet, but beastly, German Shepherd lol. I will definitely be booking with Rebekah again and I know my dogs will be excited when I do!”

“Darsy has been great. She shows up on time and has been working to gain the trust of our obstinate rat terrier and made progress today to get her out on a walk. As for our puppy, Bella, Darcy has been great with walking her and making sure she gets some water after the walk and playing with her. She’s also been great about working around our schedule. I highly recommend her.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
