About: I've had pets since I was a child and I've always loved them like they were my children. Now I watch my children love our pets! We enjoy having pets in our home to cuddle with, play with and spoil! I am a school teacher with summers off. I am home with my two children from the end of May to the beginning of August. When pets are in our home they are shown loads of attention and love. They have regular potty breaks and have a big fenced in yard to play in.

About: Hi, I’m Caitlin! I provide dependable, attentive pet care and genuinely love getting to know each pet’s personality and routine. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are safe, cared for, and getting plenty of attention while you’re away. I have experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments—from energetic puppies to shy or senior dogs—and I always aim to make pets feel comfortable and cared for during every visit. Whether it’s a drop-in visit or a walk around the neighborhood, I’ll make sure your pet gets the care, attention, and exercise they need. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to provide photo updates and check-ins so you always know how your pet is doing. Looking forward to meeting you and your fur baby! Feel free to reach out to me anytime! I always respond fast. I know it’s important to keep our animals in their routine so I can be flexible with times! I like to keep things as normal as possible for your pets. I can play, let them out, go on walks, give treats, etc. No request is too much when it comes to keeping them in their routine.

About: I'm a huge animal lover, and have had everything from cats and dogs to ferrets and fish! I've always watched over other people's animals for as long as I can remember and love every moment of it! From cuddling with a lazy fur baby to going on long runs to let out some energy, I've always been able to match any pets energy! I am a full time college student currently studying at NCTC! I'm usually free for the most part if not in class or the weekends where I get most of my studying and homework out of the way! I'm always willing to abide by any house rules you may have or areas that are off limits or need extra eyes on. I'm more than happy to crate dogs and make sure cats try not to scratch up furniture!

About: I’ve had a dog since I was a little kid and recently had to say goodbye to my last dog. I adore dogs but as empty nesters who travel, I’m not in a place to get another one full time now. So I decided to dog sit instead so that way I get to love on your babies as my own. I have a huge fenced in backyard with all grass and lots of room to roam. I have always let my dogs sleep with me and also cuddle on the couch. Your dog(s) will be in good hands and I look forward to taking care of them while you are away from home. I am currently retired and run a business that is only busy at the holidays. I’m pretty much home every day otherwise and if I’m working, I’m doing it from home. I have one of the biggest backyards in our neighborhood and it is all nice green grass. I don’t have a pool so it’s a great place to roam and play fetch. I also have a dog park in our neighborhood if your dog needs more activity & likes company. My yard is fenced in, kept locked at all times and has cameras so your dog is definitely secured in with us.

About: I have always had a passion for all types of animals all of my life. I have owned many in my lifetime from small to big and of course a cat lover too! In my younger years I owned and operated a pet sitting service for 10 years, which I enjoyed tremendously! I then expanded to owning and operating natural pet food stores for 16 years. Recently I have sold my business and moved to Texas being with family and now looking forward to be of service to you and your pets! I am new to Rover but my knowledge and experience in pet care is vast and wide. I have worked with many holistic vets through the years and happy to share my knowledge if you are looking for that. I am also experienced in administering medications and insulin for dogs and cats. I am also well versed in puppies, kittens and senior pet care. If your pet requires great exercise I walk 8 miles a day and love walking and know how to get their wiggles out so you can rest assured a happy dog when you come back home! I strive in clear communication while you are away on the care & safety of your pets and home while you are away. I look forward to the opportunity to caring for your pets when you can't be there. I have a very open schedule and I am available any day of the week and times that work with the schedule of you & your pets. Safety is the number one. I will go over details with you prior to make sure your pets and home are in safe keeping, so I know where your dog or cat is typically located/kept in or out of the home and all doors and fences are always secure. It is a detail that I am very particular about!

About: I work from home full time and have two cats and dog. I grew up in a home with pets and would love the opportunity to meet some new fur babies. I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule. I have set my parameters for 15 minute distance from me so that I would be able to make those drop in visits with no problem. I don’t plan to house any pets, but if that should occur I do have a fenced yard and am familiar with crating. I would also only ever be able to take on one at a time because we do have three pets full time.

About: I love all of the pets!! My Husband and I have three cats and one small dog at our house and a fenced in backyard. My best friend is a vet so she gives me all the advice and tips on dogs and cats! I can cater to anything you prefer, if you have very high maintenance or chill pets. My dog gets along with other dogs but we can seperate her to a different part of the house with a dog gate if needed! Drop by care is fine or if you’re going on a trip, we would love to have your pup stay with us. They are in greaf hands, lots of backyard play and will be very spoiled! Can’t wait to meet your little guys!! Im home a lot so I have much time to care for the animals here! We have a big back yard and I love going outside with them for exercise! Whatever your care preferences are, we try to accommodate to that! Just communicate with me what your expectations are, we want your dog to have consistency.

I can’t recommend Aurellia enough. She’s been walking my dog for a while now, and she’s hands-down the best. My dog absolutely loves her and gets excited every time she shows up. You can tell she genuinely cares and takes her time to make sure the dogs are happy and well looked after. She’s reliable, easy to communicate with, and always sends quick updates after walks, which I really appreciate. It’s great knowing my dog’s in good hands when I’m busy or out for the day. If you need a trustworthy, caring, and all-around great dog walker — Aurellia’s the one to call.

About: Hi, I'm Ryann, and I've been pet sitting for four years for various family’s. I'm currently in my junior year at the University of Alabama working towards a economics degree. I am available in the evenings and would be delighted to watch your fur babies. I have experience preparing meals for animals with dietary restrictions, and I am comfortable with doing any kind of work necessary for the pet to feel comfortable and safe while you are away. When I'm not in school or dog sitting, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and going on hikes with my dogs. I'd love the opportunity to get to know your family and would be happy to provide references if requested. I have had pets my whole life and I understand the need for proper care and love. I have a very flexible schedule, so checking on pets is never a problem for me. I enjoy being active and pets promote that lifestyle for me. I am able to do any service needed for the pets while you are away because I understand the importance of the fur babies and want them to feel as safe and comfortable as possible. I will do any service that an owner asks of me while caring for their pets. I ensure that the pets will be given the same amount of care and love while their owners are gone and that is important to me as a pet sitter. This may include going for walks, feeding, taking medicine, and honestly anything that is normal for their needs.

Samantha was great! First time walking my 9 month old puppy Simba and he was tuckered out! She took really good care him, was conscious about the hot temperature so didn't over exert his outside time. He really knocked out for the next few hours while I was outside. Thanks Samantha!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 6,058 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Northlake. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Northlake. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Northlake.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Northlake. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
