“Absolutely incredible with following directions with training. Super willing to walk her pup in a rather boring area for 30 minutes so I could have a designated distraction during my training session for Tia. I am so beyond grateful for her help.”

“Georgia was great! She communicated with us in a timely manner and did a great job of making sure our cats were well fed and had fresh water. We’ll definitely book her in the future if she’s available!”

“Renae was amazing! We have 3 senior chihuahua’s who all wear diapers and each have their own special needs and she took care of them with no problems at all. She was even able to win over our most fiesty one who rarely lets others handle him. She left our home spotless even though I know my boys made messes. She was reliable and communicative and it was so wonderful to be able to go away and know they were in good hands. 10/10.”

“Excellent communication, flexibility, and attention to detail are what you will find with Peggy P. She has a lot of patience with animals and was able to assist us when we needed it the most. Highly recommend her!”
About: Not only have I had pets my entire life, but I've helped care for friend's and family's pets, too. I worked in a doggie daycare for a bit, so I have experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and ages. I'm currently on summer break from teaching, so I'm home with my kiddos all day and am available to help care for your fur babies. I'm comfortable letting animals out into fenced yards or on leash as needed for potty breaks. I can help cleanup accidents inside or scoop liter during visits. I'm happy to help supervise playtime, feedings, or general activity during visits. I'm comfortable crating dogs when leaving, if needed. Whatever instructions you provide, I can execute and ensure your pet is well cared for!
“Gabrielle was great! She was available for me last minute. She kept me updated about the dogs and sent me photos that gave me a reassurance that they were in good hands! Highly recommend!”
About: I love to play and love on animals, and my daughter loves to research breeds and find what they like the most. And care for them that way. Your pet(s) will be well welcomed to our fun loving home. Welcome! I am working full time, dogs will have full access to backyard at their leisure. If they are unfamiliar with a dog door, I will train them. Litter box cleaned daily. And in the morning and evening some love and play time. I have a fenced in yard, dog door ( that locks) shelves and hiding spots for cats. I had made this an oasis for my cat and dog while they were still with us. Our free time is spent at the cat cafe, and the humane society. We will go walk the dogs there or play with the cats at both places. Any animal in need of love and attention, we are thrilled to provide it. Our dog passed of cancer 3 years ago and needed to be put down as it had spread and she was in terrible pain. It was a slow, and hard for to let go A year ago, our cat had this disease, and she became immobile immediately and was in chronic pain. It was such a quick loss. So I have been a little hesitant to bring another animal in full time. However, all animals are welcome and we look forward to building a safe spot for you and your pet while you are away.
“Martina is the best and Scout loves hanging out with her! She is open and accommodating to Scout’s needs. Whether it’s going to an open area to romp and letting him chase bugs to hanging out the porch couch cuddling; Martina is down. She is a true dog person. 🐶”

“We will be booking Jaclyn again! Jaclyn took great care of our super social cat while we were out of town. We really appreciated her going above and beyond to play with him and check on his litter. Great sitter who clearly loves kitties. Thanks, Jaclyn!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Kate & Chris taking care of Mika for three days. They were incredibly friendly, caring and patient with our dog which gave us so much peace of mind. We truly appreciate the love and attention they showed and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them would absolutely book drop-in visits with Kate & Chris again”

“Katrina did a great job with our kitty! Got him his meds every day and spent time petting or playing with him - he’s very sociable and always wants to be with people. Very glad we found Katrina!”

“They were willing to work with a very last-minute request and went right over to take care of our boys. Having no familiarity with the dogs, they still worked with their quirks and weren't afraid to ask questions when it was needed. Like how to get Rory back inside when he really wanted to keep playing. We are very grateful!”

“I'm so happy my friend recommended rover.com. Julie attended to my dogs and was very thorough and responsive. I appreciated getting pictures of her walking them everyday . I highly recommend Julie and this company. I will definitely be using them when I travel.-CM”

Georgia is such a sweet human being! She took the best care of our 3 cats for us while we were gone on vacation. She was available last minute when we needed her, had no problems coming by for a meet and greet before us leaving and sent us daily updates/pictures of our boys. We will absolutely be booking her for all our of our future pet sitter needs and would hands down recommend her to anyone.

Jill was prompt, attentive and patient with our fur babies! I loved that she kept us posted on how they were doing our entire time away. She is passionate about caring for our babies and definitely is an animal lover. Our fur babies gave her 5 stars for the care and attention she devoted to them. We will definitely be contacting her again for future pet sitting needs. Thank you Jill, this is definitely your calling!

Jaclyn was fantastic. She provided detailed updates and photos that reassured us our kitties were in good hands. She gave our needy boy extra attention and snuggle time. She even earned the trust of our shy girl. We will definitely be using Jaclyn again in the future.

My first time leaving my kitten with someone other than family had me really nervous but Katrina made it really easy, even with the last minute scheduling. She sent me lots of pictures and updated me on how much he ate. I would definitely come back to her in the future

Amanda was so kind and thorough with the meet and greet along with the actual care for my 2 cats. I am always looking for someone who not only feeds my cats, but plays with them and gives them love too. Everything was exactly the way I asked and she sent pictures when she stopped in which I appreciate very much.

Bianca was so sweet and professional with our baby kitty, Lucy. This was the first time we had used Bianca and were so pleased. She sent a report card every day and pictures or videos which gave us such peace of mind and really became the highlight of our days. Bianca is loving yet professional and we already plan to use her again on our next trip.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Normal. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
