About: I was my aunt and uncle’s primary dog walker and sitter from middle school until I moved out for college. I have house-sat twice for a week at a time with no problems. They have a very energetic puppy who was 5 months old and 8 months old respectively when I was house sitting. I mostly have experience with medium-sized dogs, but I’ve socialized with dogs of all sizes. My own dog, Luna, is back home with my parents. We’ve had her for ten years and love her dearly, even when she eats grass. I have a busy class load Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I’m available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons and evenings for walks and doggie dinners. Friday through Sunday are usually very open for me, and I would love to spend my weekends with your dogs! I am away some weekends, usually about once a month. I am fully willing to stay overnight with your dogs any day of the week, even school nights. For full time sitting, I will check in on your dogs every 3-5 hours during the school day. If I need to leave on weekends, I will not be gone for more than four hours at a time unless specifically agreed upon beforehand. I’m fully prepared to be nipped, scratched, and jumped on, but will not encourage this behavior. My general rule for walks is one leash per hand, for both my safety and your dogs’. As a student I don’t have the ability to bring any pets to my own residence, though I do now have a car. I am equipped for both energetic playtime and sleepy snuggles. I do not have any supplies of my own yet, since I’m just getting started here in Normal.
“I cannot say enough great things about Chris and Kate! They provided a daily drop-in visit to check in on our kitties while we were out of town. Our playful kitty Lin met them at the door each day, our shy kitty Dottie quickly warmed up to them, and they were even able to spot our senior cat Smokey a number of times (before he ran off to hide, as he usually does, haha!) I also really appreciated the detailed notes and adorable photos of the kitties they sent us each day -- you could tell how comfortable the kittens were with them by the end of the week. It's such a relief to know your pets are being well taken care of when you're out of town!
