“Georgia has taken care of my cat while I’m away twice now and she is such a wonderful pet sitter. She’s trustworthy, super helpful, and great with animals. I recommend her 100%!”
“Mackenzie is an absolute angel with my cat Lulu! She’s well extremely reliable when it comes to any unexpected situation on my end and even goes as far as to send me little updates with pictures on Lulu to see how she’s doing! Absolutely amazing sitter along with her partner who also is amazing with cats! 100000/10 ! Great with feeding instructions and everything!. Also an amazing option for boarding because of the spare bedroom she has for ur pet!”
“Kelley was fantastic! Bella, who normally does not come to greet strangers, was always so excited to see her throughout the trip. Kelley answered questions we had before we confirmed the booking to make sure we were comfortable, and made sure to send photos every visit to show us how she was doing. We will definitely be asking Kelley for pet care in the future!”
“Very great service! Kept me updated when drop in times changed and my cat looked very happy in the photos. I'll definitely use this sitter again when I'm out of town.”
About: As a dedicated pre-vet student, I bring 10 years of personal experience as a dog owner and hands-on training through my vet club. My passion for animal care goes beyond basic pet sitting—I’ve provided trusted care for friends’ and family’s pets, gaining real-world experience. I’ve also worked at a veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant, where I helped care for dogs and cats, further building my skills in handling, health monitoring, and patient care. Winning 1st place in the state for veterinary science at HOSA showcases my deep knowledge and commitment to animal well-being. With me, your pet receives not just companionship, but expert-level attention and care. As a college student, I balance classes with a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time for pet care. I’m available for walks in the early afternoon and evenings, along with play breaks and quality time to keep pets active, happy, and loved. Even with my studies, I make sure your pet receives my full attention and care. I care for pets by following a consistent routine with walks, playtime, and attention. I’d do the same in a client’s home, making sure their pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for.
“Calli did a great job watching my cat and house for several days, and she was flexible accommodating a last minute flight change on my return. She recognized a stressed-out cat who was not used to her owner being away, took her time letting the cat warm up her, and provided updates along the way. You'll be comfortable leaving your pet and house in Calli's hands!”
“We are new to the area and Jackie did a great job taking care of our somewhat needy cats, one of whom requires medication. We appreciated the detailed reports and pictures!”
“She was absolutely wonderful! Very polite, punctual, and always friendly with a smile. I contacted her at the last minute, just one day before I needed her, and she was available and very accommodating. She kept me updated the entire time and made me feel completely comfortable knowing my cats were in good hands. I’m very grateful for her help and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommended!”
“I cannot say enough great things about Chris and Kate! They provided a daily drop-in visit to check in on our kitties while we were out of town. Our playful kitty Lin met them at the door each day, our shy kitty Dottie quickly warmed up to them, and they were even able to spot our senior cat Smokey a number of times (before he ran off to hide, as he usually does, haha!) I also really appreciated the detailed notes and adorable photos of the kitties they sent us each day -- you could tell how comfortable the kittens were with them by the end of the week. It's such a relief to know your pets are being well taken care of when you're out of town! This was our first time using Rover, and I'm so glad to have had such a great experience with Kate and Chris! We will be booking them again in the future! :) Thank you!”
“Martina is the best and Scout loves hanging out with her! She is open and accommodating to Scout’s needs. Whether it’s going to an open area to romp and letting him chase bugs to hanging out the porch couch cuddling; Martina is down. She is a true dog person. 🐶”
“Kaylee was awesome! She communicated quickly and was gracious when my plans shifted. Kaylee took great care of Humphrey and my house. I appreciated the picture updates a lot. Humphrey really enjoyed Kaylee's company. We will definitely be booking her again to house sit!”
“Hannah was so amazing! Milo loved when her and her kids dropped in for visits! She was always flexible with me and my schedule! She had great communication about everything! We cannot thank her enough for the great care she provided our puppy!”
Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Bloomington Heights
Kaylor was my primary sitter for my beloved cat who just passed away. I could always know that she’s in the safe hands with Kaylor. For the last year my cat was ill, and Kaylor was amazing with medication. She would also spend extra time. Communication was fast and easy. My cat only allowed ONE outside person in her entire life to pet her. it was Kaylor. I cannot thank Kaylor enough for being there. Please book with Kaylor without any concerns. You can’t find a better sitter.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
