“Martina took care of Lumi over the Christmas holiday. She completely spoiled her with the most loving care, four visits and walks a day, games, puzzles, and treats galore. She also did Lumi's favorite activity- daily brushing and a massage. She also spoiled us by giving us photos at each check-in, letting us know Lumi was happy, safe, and content. I could not have asked for a better holiday- I had absolutely no stress about our pet being left at home alone- she was in great hands all of the time. I highly recommend Martina if you want someone who will consider all of your pet's needs and wants and strive to make them happen!”

“Had Amber come over for a training session. She was punctual and prepared when she showed up. Listened to directions super well and was really friendly! Loved working with her and will definitely book again!”

“I’m a teacher, and Jesse did drop-in visits with my senior dog throughout the school year. She’s very personable, reliable, and flexible, and it was such a relief to know that she was checking in on my old boy during the school day. I hope she’ll agree to work with us again this fall, and I would recommend her to anyone for superb pet care!”

About: I have worked at a dog kennel since 2021. I had to do 2 months of training before hand. Friends and neighbors have allowed me to babysit their pets as well. I’ve fed, walked, cuddle, brushed, bathed and given medicine to dogs. I’m currently in college but coming home for summer and winter break. I’m working at the kennel still but want more work hours in the week I will keep an eye on them when they are outside as well as if I need to watch them while they’re eating. I will give them love and play all day with them
“Jacey has been great with Luna! She’s reliable, communicative, and really attentive to Luna’s needs. Luna seems happy and comfortable with her, which says a lot. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and responsible dog sitter.”

About: I have experience with all dogs from senior Chihuahuas, sassy pitbulls, and super energetic doodles. I would love to sit and chill, or run around and get some zoomies out. Have experience with post surgical care and rehabilitation. I'm a 2026 Normal West Graduate, and have very open daily availability in the summer! I am in town all summer and can't wait to meet your pet!! No other pets currently live in my home which is typically quiet. Have lots of area to walk around in backyard, but backyard is not fenced in.

“Our girl would never whine or balk Any time we say that it's time for a walk, But for Lettie there's truly nothing as fun As strolling with Amanda, her number one! Lettie never wants her walk to be over When it's with her bestie Amanda from Rover, Come rain, wild heat, or all the bunnies along the way Amanda always makes out Lettie's day. There's only certainty, not a whiff of a "maybe" You won't regret having Amanda watch your fur baby!”

“Thank you so much Kelly! My husband and I had a worry free weekend away knowing our dogs were well taken care of with Kelly. She went above and beyond for our girls and seeing pictures and getting updates was amazing!”
“Giselle is are now go to sitter! She is extremely good at following my crazy helicopter dog mom instructions😂 she is very professional and did everything we needed of her perfect and went above our expectations!! Our German shepherd is a little shy and also a ball of energy once warmed up and he loves her and we are so thankful for that because he can have a hard to warming up to people. I would 100% recommend her to anyone!”

About: Through out my life I've had several different furry friends (and fish!). I have worked with all kinds of animals from ones that love to run and play to ones that would prefer to lounge around all day! I have several years of experience as a professional pet sitter, as well as having pets of my own. I can't wait to meet your babies! 😊❤️ I am currently a stay at home mom looking to make some pocket money while doing something I love! I'll have plenty of time to look after your lovely animal babies! Most of the times, short term stays or quick check-ins work best for me, but I am open to talks regarding longer stays. I am a strong believer in spending as much time with pets as possible, so I plan to enact that with your fur babies as well. I will send you pictures of your fur baby on walks or lounging on the couch with small updates.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 184 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Danvers. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Danvers. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
