Martina is the best and Scout loves hanging out with her! She is open and accommodating to Scout’s needs. Whether it’s going to an open area to romp and letting him chase bugs to hanging out the porch couch cuddling; Martina is down. She is a true dog person. 🐶

We were in a pinch and needed a last minute sitter, and Georgia was able to help us immediately and arrived same day to meet our animals prior to us leaving. Thank you so much for the great care you took of our babies!

Absolutely incredible with following directions with training. Super willing to walk her pup in a rather boring area for 30 minutes so I could have a designated distraction during my training session for Tia. I am so beyond grateful for her help.

Our girl would never whine or balk Any time we say that it's time for a walk, But for Lettie there's truly nothing as fun As strolling with Amanda, her number one! Lettie never wants her walk to be over When it's with her bestie Amanda from Rover, Come rain, wild heat, or all the bunnies along the way Amanda always makes out Lettie's day. There's only certainty, not a whiff of a "maybe" You won't regret having Amanda watch your fur baby!

Adam was amazing with our male dog. Our dog can be really weird with others and Adam graciously came in for MANY meet and greets prior to confirm it would be an outstanding fit. While we were away he definitely went above and beyond to care for our dog. We will to continue to utilize his service!

About: Hi! My name is Shelby, and I am a junior at ISU looking for pet-sitting opportunities in the Bloomington/Normal area! I have class from 10-11 MWF and 8-11 T/TH, but otherwise I am free! • I have 5+ years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and ages • I am open to drop-in visits, walks, and overnight care • I am reliable, responsible, and will treat your pets like my own! • I genuinely love spending time with animals, as l have 4 dogs and 4 cats at home! Please message me with any questions! Thank you! I have class from 10-11 MWF and 8-11 T/TH, but otherwise I am free! I do go home and visit sometimes on the weekends but if I am pet sitting I would stay in Bloomington! I usually let dogs out anywhere from 2-6 hour period depending on what each owner prefers and if it is an overnight stay I am usually there a little after dinner time to stay the night! I am comfortable crating if that is what they are used to as well!

Jesse did once and twice daily drop in visits with my 4 month old puppy. At the end of the day, he was (relatively) calm for being alone at home much of the day, and she was able to give him provided meals. She do a great job checking in on him and he seems to really enjoy her company. 10/10 would book again

Bekah was great from the get-go, she responded quickly, carried herself very professionally during the meet and greet and provided updates during all four drop-ins with Charlie and Daisy. Highly recommend if you’re seeking someone to take good care for your pets while gone. -Junior-

About: I’ve always been an animal lover since I was little. Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. I was also an Animal Keeper for about a year with native Illinois Wildlife (including black bears, cougars & bobcats). I am currently transitioning to being a Veterinary Assistant so I am gaining new skills weekly! Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too. Your home is their home. I will cater to your pet based on what they like or need. If they just need someone to keep them company I’m there. I will treat your space with respect and follow any instructions given. My pets are family and are treated as such so the same would go for your kiddos.

About: As a detail-oriented college student, I bring a high level of responsibility and energy to pet sitting. Whether your dog needs a high-intensity power walk or a calm afternoon of companionship, I’m dedicated to following your care instructions to the letter. I have experience with a variety of breeds and energy levels, ensuring every pup stays on their routine and feels loved. I’m punctual, observant, and ready to treat your pet like my own. I currently work park time at OSF medical center and go to school full-time at Illinois State University, I live in peoria and commute daily. Most days I have class in the morning and work at night but am free in the afternoons. Tuesdays and Thursdays I am in Bloomington from 7am-7pm. I currently have an adorable havanese poodle and also had a wheaten terrier in the past. I’m well versed in caring for intelligent, affectionate, and high maintenance breeds. I understand the importance of consistent grooming, mental stimulation, and plenty of lap time! I treat every dog with the same patience and specialized attention I give my own.

She is extremely good at following my crazy helicopter dog mom instructions😂 she is very professional and did everything we needed of her perfect and went above our expectations!! Our German shepherd is a little shy and also a ball of energy once warmed up and he loves her and we are so thankful for that because he can have a hard to warming up to people. Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 418 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Danvers. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Danvers stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Danvers. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
