“Georgia is fantastic! She is very communicative, and quick to respond. I appreciate all of her pictures and reports of how my 2 pups were doing. I will definitely will book Georgia again in the future!!”

“Absolutely incredible with following directions with training. Super willing to walk her pup in a rather boring area for 30 minutes so I could have a designated distraction during my training session for Tia. I am so beyond grateful for her help.”

“Martina took care of Lumi over the Christmas holiday. She completely spoiled her with the most loving care, four visits and walks a day, games, puzzles, and treats galore. She also did Lumi's favorite activity- daily brushing and a massage. She also spoiled us by giving us photos at each check-in, letting us know Lumi was happy, safe, and content. I could not have asked for a better holiday- I had absolutely no stress about our pet being left at home alone- she was in great hands all of the time. I highly recommend Martina if you want someone who will consider all of your pet's needs and wants and strive to make them happen!”

About: I have worked at a dog kennel since 2021. I had to do 2 months of training before hand. Friends and neighbors have allowed me to babysit their pets as well. I’ve fed, walked, cuddle, brushed, bathed and given medicine to dogs. I’m currently in college but coming home for summer and winter break. I’m working at the kennel still but want more work hours in the week I will keep an eye on them when they are outside as well as if I need to watch them while they’re eating. I will give them love and play all day with them
“Jaclyn was an amazing first experience with Rover! She was professional and spent time with my pets, sent me pictures, and made me feel they were loved and well cared for in my absence.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Kate & Chris taking care of Mika for three days. They were incredibly friendly, caring and patient with our dog which gave us so much peace of mind. We truly appreciate the love and attention they showed and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them would absolutely book drop-in visits with Kate & Chris again”

About: As a detail-oriented college student, I bring a high level of responsibility and energy to pet sitting. Whether your dog needs a high-intensity power walk or a calm afternoon of companionship, I’m dedicated to following your care instructions to the letter. I have experience with a variety of breeds and energy levels, ensuring every pup stays on their routine and feels loved. I’m punctual, observant, and ready to treat your pet like my own. I currently work park time at OSF medical center and go to school full-time at Illinois State University, I live in peoria and commute daily. Most days I have class in the morning and work at night but am free in the afternoons. Tuesdays and Thursdays I am in Bloomington from 7am-7pm. I currently have an adorable havanese poodle and also had a wheaten terrier in the past. I’m well versed in caring for intelligent, affectionate, and high maintenance breeds. I understand the importance of consistent grooming, mental stimulation, and plenty of lap time! I treat every dog with the same patience and specialized attention I give my own.
“I don't typically leave a review after the first visit. However, after a string of lackluster sitters, Peggy was a breath of fresh air. She was very attentive and followed my cat's care instructions to the letter. She even kept an eye on a few concerns I had with him which brought me comfort during my trip. I loved the update notes and photos from her visits with Barney. My cat was the happiest I have seen him upon returning from a trip in a long time. I hope to book Peggy again in the future, and I highly recommend her.”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child and love animals. I currently don’t have any pets of my own because since we just put our two old poodles down I’m currently retired and have an open and flexible schedule. Weekends, weekdays, mornings, middays, and nights. I’m generally not available from midnight to 6 AM As a retired pet lover with a flexible schedule, I care for pets in their own home where they feel safest and most comfortable. I stick to their normal routine—meals, walks, playtime, and even meds if needed—to keep things low-stress while you’re away. I keep things calm, clean, and consistent, and always treat your pets and your home with respect. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or an overnight stay, I provide the same loving care I’d want for my own pets
“Zhalih did an amazing job taking care of our cat while we were away! She went above and beyond by spending extra time with him, playing and making sure he wasn't lonely. It was clear she truly cared, and it gave me so much peace of mind. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter for their pet. Five stars!”

“Ava did such a great job with all 4 of my pets. She was able to help in short notice and was very detailed in her visit notes. I would recommend Ava to anyone and will definitely use her services again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Normal
Leaving my three cats for two weeks while traveling internationally was a little nerve-wracking, but Calli made the whole experience so much easier. I always felt like my cats were being well cared for, and coming home to happy, healthy cats was the best feeling. Thank you for giving me such peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely book with Calli again!

Georgia is such a sweet human being! She took the best care of our 3 cats for us while we were gone on vacation. She was available last minute when we needed her, had no problems coming by for a meet and greet before us leaving and sent us daily updates/pictures of our boys. We will absolutely be booking her for all our of our future pet sitter needs and would hands down recommend her to anyone.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
