“Xena was great! We just moved into town and she made it so easy and stress free to know our fur kiddo was well taken care of when going out of town. She was forgiving of the chaos of our house due to the unpacking and was able to support Levi as a senior. Will be booking again when we need a dog sitter!”

“Ken took such good care of our boy Hamlet. He’s just such a natural around dogs and is funny to boot. Very jovial and attentive with a great sense of humor. He gave us updates for each time he checked in Hamlet on each day with a report on meal time, potty breaks, and play time. Also sent cute pictures! Ken clearly loves dogs and shows that in his care for them. I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again.”

“Charlie house sat for us for a week. He took amazing care of our cat and dog. Charlie was very professional and an excellent communicator. When we got home, the pets were happy and the house was immaculate. I highly recommend Charlie for pet sitting. We'll be using his services again!”

“Rachel came to visit Penny before the stay over. Rachel was confident she could handle Penny and all her needs. Penny is 15 years, can get anxious when we are away, needed diapers, crushed meds in her soft food and a gentle touch. They took to each other right away which reassured us that the weekend that Rachel was to stay over would work out fine. Everything worked out perfectly, even the doggy diapers and Penny's meds in her soft food. Rachel, thank you so much for taking care of Penny and the house. We look forward to having you sit for Penny in the future.”

“Jeffrey was amazing with our 100lb American Akita for 15 days, constantly providing updates and pictures to ease my anxiety leaving my pet and home while out of the country! His experience with animals shines through in the way my Akita immediately fell in love with him. We would highly recommend him for your fur babies, and we look forward to booking with him again!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive experience caring for senior dogs, including my own 13-year-old companion, Angel. She’s a wonderful example of how older pets can still be energetic and joyful with the right care and attention. I understand the unique needs of senior animals, such as gentle exercise, medication management, and extra patience. Additionally, I’m skilled at adapting activities to suit each pet’s age and personality, whether it’s training puppies or providing comfort to older pets. My compassionate approach ensures every pet feels safe, loved, and engaged, no matter their stage of life. I work part time so i’m just down to do this whenever I am free . THE MORE BABIES THE BETTER , I have a semi flexible schedule I have a fenced yard and I can care for your baby almost as well as you can IF YOU LET ME GIMME THE FUR BABIESSSSS
“Gio is absolutely wonderful. She takes Daphne and Samson out every week and also stayed with them this weekend while I was away, and I cannot say enough good things about her. She is incredibly kind, dependable, communicative, and genuinely cares about them. I came home to two very happy, relaxed dogs who had clearly been loved and spoiled all weekend. Daphne and Samson both adore her, and I always feel comfortable knowing they’re in her care. I’m so grateful to have found Gio and would absolutely recommend her!”

“I simply cannot express the relief I had while traveling with Vanessa as my house/pet sitter. I have 2 cats and was babysitting my daughters cat, who arrived the day I left. Vanessa sent pics everyday of the cats snuggled with her or chilling in their fav spots! My trip was very unexpected, and it was my first time using Rover. I’ve always wary booked Vanessa again for a trip I had planned and was going to take my cat to my daughters, but it was so much more relaxing for them here in their home❤️”

“Taje was so amazing caring for our three dogs for a week. She sent daily pictures and communicated as much or as little as we wanted every day. We had special circumstances where one dog had to be consistently separated from another, and she handled that special situation with professionalism and expertise. Our house was cleaner than we left it (amazing considering how much our dog sheds!), and we had not one worry while we were away. We plan to use Taje again anytime we leave our house in the future!!”

“Ben was wonderful from his visit before his stay here through the entire time he cared for our dogs, cats and fish. He shared detailed updates and beautiful pictures, cared thoughtfully for our pets and asked questions when he had them. We can tell from all of our regular conversations via Rover that he truly cares for our pets as he would his own. Ben’s communication and care allows us to truly relax while we were away.”

“David was great! He came over same night I requested and met the zoo. 2 of our cats are more vocal now that we’ve come back so I think he got them out of their shy spell. The house was kept nice and the dogs were spoiled and snuggled David all night from what I hear. Thanks for the last minute assistance! I do recommend him, but also hope he doesn’t get too busy so we can use him again!”
About: I've been caring for animals for most of my life. I grew up with dogs and have experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I take into account their routine. In addition to owning dogs, I've also fostered cats, which has given me experience helping animals adjust to new environments and providing patient, attentive care. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I work with each client’s schedule to make sure their pet’s routine stays as normal as possible. I’m flexible, reliable, and happy to adapt my schedule to meet your pet’s individual needs and provide them with the care and attention they deserve. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make their comfort, safety, and routine my top priorities. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication instructions (if provided), and any special preferences. I also make sure they receive plenty of affection, companionship, and positive attention so they feel relaxed and cared for while their owner is away. I treat every pet and home with the same respect and care I would give my own.
“Jenny did a great job watching our 2 dogs for 4 nights! She communicated with us on a daily basis, providing pictures and detailed updates. She left the house spotless and even took the sheets and towels to the laundry room! Our dogs were happy and well cared for and we hope to have her back again in the near future!”

“This time Betty stayed for over a week to care for our two dogs and one cat. She’s a delight to work with and the animals clearly love her. House was in great shape too. Highly recommend (and we’ve already booked her again).”

“Julianne is fantastic! We came home to two very happy and content cats. She kept us informed on them and was very in tune with their routines quickly. She learned how to and gave insulin shots to one of them. She is wonderful with animals. And they seem to think she is wonderful right back!”

“Tabatha was absolutely perfect!!!! She was prompt for the arrival time, she kept us updated with photos and messages. We felt very relaxed knowing our babies were in good hands!”

“Scott did an excellent job caring for our dog! Communication was prompt, clear, and detailed. He spent a valuable hour walking, feeding, and playing with her so we could enjoy an afternoon away. Would 100% hire Scott again.”

Melanie was such a trooper! Three kitties, two with pills, and a cancelled flight return/emergency extra day. That's a lot to juggle and she managed beautifully. All three kitties loved her and were clearly happy and healthy in the great pics that she sent regularly. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Alexandra! She was on time every time, gave extra time and attention, and really went the extra mile for my three dogs. She was an excellent communicator when my dog didn’t want to take his meds and problem solved through it. Would 100% hire her again.

Erin house sat with our three dogs, cat and two parakeets for a week. She came over for an additional meet and greet to talk to our daughter about her cat’s special needs. Erin walked all the dogs, played with the cat and watered and fed the parakeets. We felt good knowing she was taking care of all our pets and managing other things at the house. We will definitely have Erin help us out again.

This is our third time having Helena watch our dogs and once again she did a phenomenal job! We came home to two happy pups! She especially does such a great job with our chihuahua mix who is picky and anxious but is always very happy with Helena watching her.

Karen was incredible with our 2 dogs. We are typically stressed traveling from bad experiences with rovers but Karen was really the best. Very communicative with tons of updates. She took amazing care of our boys and we will absolutely look to use her again in the future. Highly highly recommend.

Rachel is, indeed, very energetic & outgoing. I was delighted to see how friendly my dog felt towards her after our trip was over. He (& I) will definitely request her again for another trip. My cats are not as easily won over but she managed to help them feel better thru their huge separation anxiety & they were doing well when we returned home. Rachel was terrific about communicating with me thru out & sending photos.

Xena was great! We just moved into town and she made it so easy and stress free to know our fur kiddo was well taken care of when going out of town. She was forgiving of the chaos of our house due to the unpacking and was able to support Levi as a senior. Will be booking again when we need a dog sitter!

Zaena was a fantastic house sitter for my dog Maisy. It was Maisy’s first time with a house sitter and Zaena was great about Maisy’s medications, schedule, and behavioral quirks. She was very communicative and sent updates and pictures/videos daily. I look forward to having Zaena watch Maisy again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Norbeck on Rover is $35.31 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 11,498 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Norbeck. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Norbeck walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Norbeck maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Norbeck choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Norbeck. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
