I think what sets me apart is that your dog will really become part of our household while they're here. I'm only away at work one day a week, and my wife works from home most days, so someone is usually around. I'm also a registered nurse. So I'm very comfortable, following detailed instructions, keeping schedules, getting medications and noticing when something seems off. Most importantly, I genuinely love animals and want your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you're away. I've had and cared for dogs since I was a child, so caring for them has been part of my life for more than 25 years.

Schedule
I'm currently working one day a week and at home studying the rest. I'm usually in town most weekends and holidays. Since I'm home so much, it's easy for me to fit in walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding and plenty of attention to your dog into my day. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I'm happy to stick as closely as possible to your dog's normal routine.

I have a completely fenced-in yard with plenty of space to run around and play, and I don't have any dogs of my own at this time. Dogs will be supervised while outside, and I can crate your dog if that's part of their normal routine. I have tons of Kongs, chew toys, enrichment, games, and treat mats to keep your dog engaged, but I'm also perfectly happy to have a lazy couch potato hanging out with me while I study! I always keep fresh water available and give regular potty breaks. I'll follow your dog's normal feeding, walking, medication and sleeping routines as closely as possible. Every dog is different, so I'll adjust their activity and care based on their personality, age and energy level. And of course, I'll send you updates and pictures so you know how they 're doing.
