Hi, I’m Lisette! I live in Chicago.Uptown, Chicago, IL

My whole life I have grown up with multiple dogs and other pets. I now have two dogs of my own, a Cockapoo (Bella) and a Bernese Mountain Dog/Golden Retriever mix (Oreo). I’ve always been obsessed with dogs and have volunteered at Paws and Oak Park Animal Care League socializing where I was responsible for socializing, waking, and general care of the dogs there. I have also been walking dogs on the side for several months now and have learned how to encourage stubborn dogs to go on their walks and how to handle young puppies. This has provided me with the experience of caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I know every dog is unique and has its own quirks, which is what makes being around dogs so much fun!

Home Full-Time - Large Fenced Yard!Bridgeport, Chicago, IL

Welcome to the Dog House - where pups come to play! My house is very large and open and so is my large fenced yard (completely secure) so if you're looking for a sitter with a "private dog park" for a home, you've found me!! :) I have owned and cared for dogs my whole life of all sizes (yep, that's me as a kid with my German Shepherd Queenie in my profile pic) and strive to keep learning more about all breeds of pups to make sure your pup has the best care. My house is wide open (not much furniture) so pups can run and play inside during inclement weather and the yard is very large and secure and the pups that stay with us just love it. There is a large tree that provides quite a bit of shade to lounge under during the summer months and a hammock that my Chihuahua, Shadow, loves to lounge in and share with other pups who like to lounge as well.

My pups are older now and they like to sleep most of the day but will engage in occasional play as well. Shadow (the Chihuahua) is 15 and is the boss pup and Kittanning is 11 years old (she's really the boss but lets Shadow think he is!). :)

I've been a Rover client for many years and have been sitting for Rover since August 2017. I really enjoy caring for all the pups that stay with me and am so happy to share my home and yard with them.

Your dog will love it here!West Ridge, Chicago, IL

++ Our calendar reflects our dog stay availability and does not reflect our cat stays or dog walking availability--if this is your need, please inquire even if it is stated we are unavailable ++

We know how stressful it is to find a reliable, respectful, and responsive pet sitter for your fur kid(s) -- we also know how stressful it is to "lend" your home to a pet sitter. As a result, we firmly believe in communication, respect, and meeting the needs of your fur kid(s), you, and your home. We are committed to being the best pet sitting experience you have had and our meet n' greets are free of charge!

My boyfriend and I have a combined 15+ years caring for pets, and are ready to lessen your worry while you are away. We promise to spoil, pamper, pet, walk, and love your fur family as if they were our own with twice the care, twice the availability, and twice the attention to detail!

Krista is the primary sitter and Francisco helps fill in when available, mostly on weekends. We are dedicated duo, responsible, have a strong work ethic, and are committed to providing the best customer experience for your fur family and yourself.

Please message us if you have any questions about our rates or policies!

FAQ / Policys:

-- Overnight care includes up to 3 walks, each additional walk is $5/each

-- Cats are $5 per night, if included with a dog

-- Dog walking is $15/walk, please ask about rate for more than one dog

-- Cat care is $15/visit

-- Holiday rate is + $10 to whatever rate applies -- Holidays include Thanksgiving through New Years Eve , Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day, 4th of July holiday, and Valentines day. While holidays seem plentiful, when we are with your fur family, we are away from our family. Having a higher rate during our peak seasons lets us order in and enjoy the holidays closer to your fur family.

-- Please message us if you are concerned about the total cost of your stay... we strive to be accommodating and understanding

Ever since we were young children, we have both had pets. From small cats to the largest of dogs we love all animals. Krista grew up in a household that always had multiple dogs; in fact her parents were respectable breeders of Alaskan Malamutes. Francisco also had dogs growing up and has been helping Krista watch dogs for the last few years.

Why I love dog sitting

We have been a dog lovers for as long as we can remember! Dogs and cats have always been a part of our lives and truly bring us joy.

They're not pets, they're family!Wheeling, IL

For most of us, we consider dogs a part of the family, and I'm particularly partial to our SENIOR family members. When we have to travel without them, there's nothing worse than worrying about how they're doing and if they're comfortable. Let your dog stay with me and he or she can take advantage of

• a large fenced-in yard with doggie-door access

• a dog-friendly, single level, quiet home

• delicious homemade dog treats

• and, of course, lots of cuddles and kisses

I'm now retired, so I can be home 24/7 with your dog to make sure he's comfortable and feels loved. Families with more than one dog are welcome. I live alone in a quiet neighborhood, with my newest adoption, 13-year-old Tobey. A sweet miniature poodle who is still settling in. (Brewster, who is in my profile pic, crossed over the rainbow bridge. He is dearly missed!) My sister and Coco (8-year old Chihuahua) are staying with me for awhile.

My overnight boarding rate covers 24 hours, but there is some leeway there... e.g., drop off at 10 am and pickup at 2 pm is fine. However, when the time discrepancy is too long -- e.g., drop off at 10 am and pick up at 8 pm -- there will be a daycare charge of $20 for the extra day.

About My Experience and Love of Dogs:

I've had dogs for the past 30 years. I volunteered some years ago at Save-a-Pet. It's where I first saw the extra need for seniors to find a home, too. For the past 13 years I've dedicated myself to adopting older, hard to place dogs that need a loving home. As a result, I've had years of dealing with seniors, who often come to me with pre-existing medical issues. With seniors, you're adopting automatic heartbreak. I do, however, love trying to make their last years good ones, which they so deserve!

About My Yard:

As mentioned earlier, I have a doggie-door that leads to a securely fenced-in yard, so they can come and go as they please. The yard is approximately 100' x 60' and totally secure. I have a 6' privacy fence on 3 sides, and a 4' chainlink on the 4th side (hidden by 5-6 ft. bushes). The gate has a latch and two separate locks, so no chance of an accidental meeting with a meter reader or other uninvited guest getting in.

My Experience Administering Medication:

Living with senior dogs, giving oral meds, eye drops, ear salves, etc. are almost second nature now.

I am a school teacher and my wife is a police officer. We are a family to four kids , five if you count Thunder. We are a very active family that spends a lot of time outdoors. Thunder is a very important part of the family and I know what it is like to worry about who will take care of him

when we are out of town. I would love to assist your family by pet sitting as needed. Since I am a teacher with holidays off last minute reservations are not a problem. Please, let me know how I can help you.

Dogs Galore!!Logan Square, Chicago, IL

I have been taking care of dogs for over 6 years, I'm a stayed home mom and I love what I do. Your baby will be supervised most of the time, we do at least 4-5 potty breaks a day and we spend a minimum of 2-3 hours in the yard playing and running around, my yard is very big with plenty of room for the four legged kids to run and play around! When they are outside I'm outside I do not like to leave them outside by themselves, the yard is completely enclosed and no way to get out , I feed them separately and one at a time! When your baby goes home he or she will be happy and exhausted! A happy dog is a tired dog! I live with my husband and my two daughters 18 years and 14 years , they also love animals and help me with them on the weekends but I'm the main care provider. I do administer medications if require. Again I love what I do and I will take great care of your baby while you're away!:)

My name is Michele and I love dogs. Beau, Teddy & Claire live here. Joe often spends weekends and will be assisting with your pets needs. My dogs love other dogs and are very easy going. We have a fenced in yard to explore. I am always out in the yard with the dogs. I work full time and I am home for lunch to care for the dogs. I am also close to Midway Airport and MacNeal Hospital.

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ MY PROFILE & NOTE THAT I HAVE A FEW BREED RESTRICTIONS.

I do not accept dogs with any aggression issues or ones with severe separation anxiety that they become destructive. I do not accept any Huskies or Huskyy mixes, or Bully breeds (or mixes) over 40 pounds (only current clients that are over 40 pounds).

I have over 40 years experience in the pet care industry. I can work with young and old dogs. Medication is not a problem. I have experience with dogs who have special needs and physical challenges.

Our guests are treated with great paws on experience. If your dog is allowed a full run of the house, or allowed on the furniture, they will have it here. Playtime, toys, walks, and naps are enjoyed. How your dog is treated at home is how it will be treated here, feeding, and walk schedule, etc. Your dog's safety is very important. I have my front door gated off and other areas are gated as needed.

Holidays are the busiest time in the pet care industry. I encourage pet parents to plan ahead.

I do require a Meet N Greet prior to a reservation for a new guest. I also require proof of vaccinations, and your dog(s) must be on heart-worm medication and a seasonal flea preventative. ALL GUEST DOGS MUST BE DROPPED OFF BY 8 AM! There will be a $20 late fee if you are late. I am home for lunch and do not accept any drop-offs then.

My dogs Beau, Teddy & Claire are in advanced agility and training classes. I have learned to be a better dog owner and know much more about dog behavior from all our training classes. I have agility equipment that I use in the yard with warmer weather.

I also am available to do daily visits to your home if you have a cat (s) and live nearby. I can custom quote for those services.

Devoted, flexible animal lover!Lake View, Chicago, IL

Hi! My name is Elizabeth, I'm a thirtysomething living in East Lakeview. I work in full-time in the real estate appraisal business and have a flexible schedule (often work from home). I've had dogs much of my life (all mixed-breed rescue dogs), though I currently do not have any. Before joining Rover, I often would care for dogs and cats for friends and co-workers.

I have experience with dogs from 4-100 pounds, from under a year to over 14 years. I have significant experience with senior and special needs dogs. I’m experienced with giving medication to both dogs and cats. I've volunteered with Chicago Canine Rescue and PAWS in the past. I love all breeds and am not fearful of any size or breed of dog. I'm very athletic, so I'm open to taking dogs for longer walks or jogs. I also love cats!

I'm available for dog/cat boarding in my home or sitting in your home almost anytime. For boarding, please be mindful of my schedule - I strongly prefer drop-offs and pick-ups either first thing in the morning (prior to 8:00am) or anytime in the evening (after 6:30pm) on weekdays. Weekends and holidays are more flexible.

About my home - I live in a one-bedroom apartment (approximately 600 sq. ft.) by myself with no children, no smoking, no drugs.

The building has a small fenced area in the back (not exactly a yard, more of a patio with a small grassy/dirt area). The area is accessible easily from my unit (just out one door and down a single flight of stairs), so it is great for puppies and other dogs that need frequent potty breaks. Dogs are welcome on my couch and bed. I can typically have two dogs in my home at a time.

2 Adults, home full timeSkokie, IL

2 grown ups, home full time we have 2 dogs of our own, although I’m not really sure you can count Trixie-she’s only 4 lbs., so a bit more like a Guinean pig than a dog.

We lost our very senior dogs a few years ago, so we decided to do dog sitting to fill the void. park.p. And then I fell madly in love with a canine guest, a Havanese.. We can brought one home in a matter of weeks. His name is Puck, and he's a very friendly little guy who loves to play with other dogs.

We have a 1500sq ft. Ranch house (3 steps up) in a quiet neighborhood, with a smallish yard, and a great patio for doggie sunbaths.. we have been dog sitting for 6 years now. We can administer meds, oral and injected. We walk them regularly There are squirrels and rabbits to chase (and maybe catch), and lots of time for ear scratches and belly rubs. It’s a comfortable, relaxed environment with a regular routine.

About this sitter:

Hi, I am a retired stay at home mom who is now using her nurturing ability to care for other people's dogs in my home.

Why I love dog sitting

I have loved dogs all my life. When my husband and I bought our first house, the first thing we got was a dog, a Cairn Terrier, named Chelsea. After she passed we welcomed home Zelda, a terrier mix, and Nala, a lab-malamute mix. They lived til they were 17 and 15, respectively. Now we have a Havanese, and a Chorkie, who only weighs 4 lbs
