“Elizabeth was fantastic with my two cats, Roxie and Stormie! She was so patient with our skittish girl, Stormie, and still gave plenty of love and attention to Roxie. I will definitely be booking her for future visits!”

“Madeline was wonderful. She tended to my fearful cat while I was away and by the 3rd day, Tini was eating a Churu from her hand. Would absolutely hire again”

“I'd 100% book Angelica again! She did a great job looking after my bunnies, and went above and beyond with tidying up after a week of visits. She was on top of communication at all times. Yay Angelica!”

About: I have two family dogs (cockapoo and havanese) I am used to looking after and taking care of. I am trustworthy, reliable, and love all dogs and animals. I am currently a graduate student and have a flexible schedule for the summer. I would be able to stop in/walk any time from 11am-10pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, unless otherwise indicated by my availability. I can walk, feed, play with, etc. your dog with care and compassion. I am vigilant and responsible. I easily connect with dogs and can provide competent care.
“Andres is absolutely amazing. He is a great communicator. He’s flexible with his scheduling and the boys love him. So satisfied with his service and would recommend over and over again.”

About: I've cared for my own dog, dogs of family members, and dogs of neighbors for about a decade. I have particular experience in caring for needy or high-maintenance dogs. Right now I'm wide open since I'm home from college for the summer, so I have plenty of time to walk, feed, house-sit, or whatever you may need for your dog. I'm able to give your dog as much attention as it needs. I'm happy to be hands-on, passive, or anywhere in between depending on the needs of your dog.

About: I know what it’s like to worry about your fur babies when you're away from home, which is why I strive to provide top-notch daytime care. Whether I'm popping in for a drop-in visit or taking them out for some fresh air, my services include: feeding and medication per the pet parent’s instructions, plenty of walks, play time, and lots of cuddles (if they’re okay with that!) with photo updates throughout my visit. As an animal shelter volunteer, I especially have experience with cats, including kittens as young as 2 weeks old. Since I have recently moved to Philadelphia my availability is now completely open, which works out perfectly for scheduling visits! Any scheduling discrepancies will be communicated ASAP. My approach to pet care is centered on safety and maintaining a stress-free routine. Whether in my home or yours, I prioritize a 'safety-first' environment by double checking locks and removing potential hazards.
About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was old enough to learn how! I grew up with a German Shepherd so am used to large dogs that need lots of exercise, and when she passed away my family got two Maltese-Poodle mixes that I helped train and take care of, so I am also used to small dogs that want more pets than anything. I was also my neighborhood’s go to dog walker for neighbors and family friends while out of town. I have now owned a cat for two years and totally appreciate that you have to earn a cat’s love compared to a dog loving anyone who will give them pupperoni! My cat is very friendly and playful, but I also have experience sitting older and more reclusive cats. I work full time during the day but am available during the evenings and on weekends, and occasionally during lunch breaks if working from home. My two family dogs are walked with harnesses and leashes, so I am familiar with those. I clean my cat’s litter box daily along with providing general care and ample play! I do have experience with giving my cat ear drops as well so am comfortable with that if needed.
“Claire has been amazing with taking care of our cat while we were away! Claire is very professionally and knows her job well! Our cat is generally very shy with strangers but she rolled herself on the floor with belly up when Claire visited - the ultimate testimonial from the “client” :) I highly recommend Claire!”

“Riley is a superstar! She took care of my two cats whilst I was away and did such a great job. She is communicative, quick to respond and very professional. Riley provided a very high standard of care and I will be rebooking with her for any future trips.”

About: I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember! I started dog walking at 16 and have been volunteering at local animal shelters since I was 18, gaining hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds. Over the years, I’ve cared for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and even reptiles, so I’m comfortable handling different personalities and care needs. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or just some extra love and attention, I’m here to treat your pets with the utmost care and ensure they’re happy and safe while you’re away. I work full-time so I offer all services, but for house sitting and house boarding, I can provide potty breaks between 4-8 hours. I always treat your home with the same respect and care as I would my own. While caring for your pets, I make sure their routines stay consistent—whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just relaxing together. I’m attentive to details like keeping feeding areas tidy, cleaning up after pets, and ensuring your home stays secure while you’re away.
“Abigail was an amazing sitter for my two boys! Her communication was great throughout the entire stay. I really appreciated all the updates, and that she took pictures of the cats playing. I would absolutely book with her again!”

About: I've worked with everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a gentler pace and special care. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, administering medications, and reading canine body language to ensure your pet is always at ease. I am currently working part-time, so I have a lot of time in my hands to keep your pets company. I am also available to dog sit especially on the weekends! I have a fenced yard, and a friendly dog to keep your pets company. I also have multiple leaders and leashes at my home for your pets.
“Dion provided outstanding drop-in care for my cat, exceeding all expectations. She was always on time and sent photos with her updates. Dion cares deeply about animals. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone seeking a trustworthy, compassionate sitter.”

“Christel is awesome and took wonderful care of our two cats. She came twice a day to our home without fail to feed, litter box, and spend time with our boys with lots of love. She updated us regularly and gathered up the mail, packages, and trash cans for us while we were away. She can be trusted with your home and is an exceptional pet sitter. Thank you Christel!”

Rhea was polite and prompt and communicated well . She connected well with Lucy and when I came home Lucy was super relaxed and calm and seemed happy ! I got pictures and notes about her behavior during the day which I really appreciated . I will definitely hire Rhea again and recommend you do too !!

Christina is so great. She is super responsive and is great with our dogs and their two (very different) personalities:) We had an emergency and needed to book her quickly. She was great - responded right away and helped us out in a very difficult situation. She leaves great notes and photos. Can't recommend her enough!

Jeffrey was kind and responsible with my dog Oso. I also appreciate his patience and understanding when there was an issue with getting into my home for the visit (I accidentally had forgotten to replace the batteries in my garage door opener so had to direct him where to find a spare key). Thank you!!

Kristin has been an absolute blessing for our family and our dog. From day one, she has been reliable, professional, caring, and genuinely invested in our dog's happiness and well-being. It's clear that Kristin truly loves animals. She takes the time to understand our dog's personality, needs, and routines. We always receive updates, and it's reassuring to know our pup is in such capable and caring hands. Kristin is consistently punctual, communicative, and dependable, which gives us tremendous peace of mind. Whether it's a regular walk or helping out when our schedule changes unexpectedly, she is always accommodating and goes above and beyond. The difference in our dog's happiness and confidence since working with Kristin has been remarkable. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and exceptional dog sitter. Five stars aren't enough!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Merion Station stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Merion Station choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Merion Station with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
