About: I have walked and pet sat for 5+ years, and for the past two years, I have fostered rescue dogs as well. I love to hang out with your dog, whether that includes walks, playing, or just hanging out on the couch. I just finished a masters degree and am currently searching for a full time job, so I have a very flexible schedule, with availability on both weekdays and weekends. I am very careful to ensure dogs are safe when I take them for walks or pet sit. I always look for potential dangers (got lots of experience avoiding chicken bones on the street in NYC!) and keeping your dog safe is my top priority.
“Danielle is great! Very responsive to messages and very accommodating to our needs, even with last minute changes due to bad weather or scheduling issues.”

“Shawna is so amazing and patient with my very shy dog. He was in love with her after only meeting her twice. I was surprised how quick she got him to warm up. She has been extremely reliably over the past 3 months of walking Apollo, and had never missed a day. She is a total lifesaver for me and my dog. I feel very fortunate to have come across her here on Rover!”

“Christel is extremely communicative and responsive....but most importantly, our dog genuinely enjoys his walks with her. She does a thorough job walking him around the neighborhood, allowing plenty of time for sniffing.....AND she has the patience to deal with our cranky old dog when he just doesn't wanna go outside. She's successfully lured him downstairs and coaxed him into his much needed walks several times. She is our regular walker for a reason!! Highly recommend.”

“Colette was an amazing dog walker, my dogs absolutely loved her and we will definitely miss her. She was communicative, prompt, and so sweet with our girls. They got to know her car and would get so excited when they saw it coming down our street!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for 3 years and I also work at a doggy day care. I’m very comfortable and experienced with handling a lot of dogs at once, as well as different sizes, ages, breeds and temperaments. I also have experience caring for sick or injured dogs. On top of dogs, I have experience caring for cats, birds and reptiles. I am currently finishing my psychology degree, and then moving on to my veterinary technician degree. My dream is to work with animals, and I’m eager for more experience to grow my resume! I work Tuesday-Friday, with Thursday and Friday being my longer shifts (8 hours). If your dog is okay being alone for that period of time, or if you only need me for one night, I am completely willing to board those nights! If not, I am completely available the whole day Saturday-Monday. Most of my dog sitting experience has been dog and house sitting in the clients home. I am a very clean and respectful guest, and I feel being at home makes it easier on the dogs when their parents are gone. Being in an unfamiliar place with a person they don’t know can be stressful, overstimulating and anxiety inducing for many dogs. My biggest priority is not only the safety and health but the happiness of the dogs I watch.

About: I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone patient, gentle, and trustworthy while you’re away. Every pet has their own personality, routine, and little quirks — and I love getting to know what makes each one special. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, cuddles, brushing, quiet companionship, or simply having someone nearby, I always adjust my care to what helps them feel happiest and most comfortable. For dogs, this may include walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. For cats, I spend time playing, brushing if they enjoy it, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, and making sure they feel comfortable and relaxed. My goal is simple: to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate most requests. I kindly ask for at least 3 days’ notice in advance. I’ll always do my best to work around your needs and provide dependable care for your pet. I provide detailed updates and photos for each visit, and I always pay attention to pets’ behavior and comfort level and make sure owners receive updates so they can feel reassured while away. I carefully follow feeding routines, walking instructions, litter box care, fresh water changes, and any special care requests.
About: I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember! I started dog walking at 16 and have been volunteering at local animal shelters since I was 18, gaining hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds. Over the years, I’ve cared for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and even reptiles, so I’m comfortable handling different personalities and care needs. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or just some extra love and attention, I’m here to treat your pets with the utmost care and ensure they’re happy and safe while you’re away. I work full-time so I offer all services, but for house sitting and house boarding, I can provide potty breaks between 4-8 hours. I always treat your home with the same respect and care as I would my own. While caring for your pets, I make sure their routines stay consistent—whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just relaxing together. I’m attentive to details like keeping feeding areas tidy, cleaning up after pets, and ensuring your home stays secure while you’re away.
About: I've always had furry family members and enjoyed having them! I love teaching pets good habits and tricks, and caring for them emotionally and physically. I am currently available for early morning walks/check-ins before 8am during weekdays. I also have availability on some weekends and some weeknights after 6pm. My current work schedule is flexible. I enjoy maintaining a clean home even with pets. I don't mind wiping paws or doing a quick fur rinse after walks/play outside when returning inside. I like to ensure that there aren't items accessible to pets that could harm them and that they have anything they need to be comfortable.
About: I have gained experience from my own pets as well as pet sitting/dog walking jobs on various platforms. I am experienced with cats and dogs of all types of personalities! I am babysitting full time so I am able to pet sit occasionally/part time to fill in some gaps in my schedule. I am available on weekends. I care for pets in my clients homes according to their rules and customs. Whatever works for their pet will be tools that I adopt and utilize to ensure the best care to their pet!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire adult life. My first dog was a bull mastiff, Sampson; and I also had two English mastiff fur-babies when I was younger. I love larger dogs that are gentle giants. I currently have four fur babies of my own … two chihuahuas full of personality, a golden retriever that is nothing but love and a French bulldog-pug who will play fetch all day. I specialize my services in larger dogs given my extensive experience and I enjoy helping homes with multiple dogs like my own when I’m available. I work full time, but have plenty of time for your fur babies on the weekends. I love animals, especially dogs, so this doesn’t feel like work to me. Your dog and I would take it one paw at a time, going at their own pace. If your dog likes to stop and smell the roses that’s great, and if they like to take it a little faster and jog, well I do that too. I have found over the years that my larger dogs tend to enjoy the faster pace so I’m open to that if you are.

Gianna is a true gem!!! I used her today to walk Bear and Bailee and I couldn’t be more pleased. She was punctual, followed all instructions to the letter communicated thoroughly, provided detailed information and explanations and provided pictures. There’s nothing more I could’ve asked for! I have found the perfect dog walker for Bear and Bailee! Thanks Gianna!

Gwynne is everything you could hope for in a dog walker. She walked Lori and Tully and was wonderful with both of them. She is patient, kind, and genuinely a good person, the kind you immediately trust with your dogs. She is also incredibly considerate and detail oriented, never missing a thing and always going the extra step to make sure the pups were happy, safe, and well cared for. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Indigo took such great care of my animals while I was away! I got lots of photos and videos of Indigo's walks with my little old lady pup and play time with my cats. They were all in great moods when I got home. I would 100% love to have Indigo's care again in the future.

Really easy to communicate with and super reliable. Booking is straightforward, they always keep me in the loop, and I never have to wonder if everything is going to plan. My dog is obsessed with them, which honestly says more than anything I could write here. 10/10, would recommend to anyone.

Collette is an outstanding dog walker. Our puppy is a rescue that has gone through hard times. So, he does not take easily to new people. But, with Collette, he immediately bonded with her and truly enjoys being with her. Collette has a great personality and she genuinely loves animals. Our puppy easily sees that and now enjoys his walks with her. We are very happy to have found Collette and plan on working with her continuously in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
