About: I have walked and pet sat for 5+ years, and for the past two years, I have fostered rescue dogs as well. I love to hang out with your dog, whether that includes walks, playing, or just hanging out on the couch. I just finished a masters degree and am currently searching for a full time job, so I have a very flexible schedule, with availability on both weekdays and weekends. I am very careful to ensure dogs are safe when I take them for walks or pet sit. I always look for potential dangers (got lots of experience avoiding chicken bones on the street in NYC!) and keeping your dog safe is my top priority.
“Danielle had been great with Okami. He's usually very reserved and defensive with new people. But he warned up to her in just two walks. Bonus is that she takes tons of photos.”

“Kathy is energetic, sweet & my dog loved her! She made sure Molly was walked the full 1/2 hour, was safe and did everything she needed to do (pee & poop). I highly recommend Kathy & will be using her again.”

About: I love animals, basically all animals! I have grown up with cats and dogs, and feel that I know the ins and outs of the "pet world". I may have favorite breeds, but I love them all, both big and small- I love learning about new breeds, so bring it on! I have worked with pitties doodles, a jackchi, and Goldens so far from Rover! I would love to spend time outside, playing, relaxing, and exploring with your dog (and am happy to care for cats if you have those, too!). I am currently unemployed and looking for some part time gigs (like dog walking) to fill my days. I am very open during the weekdays in Roxborough. I will treat your pets and your home just like they are my own. Keeping things clean and tidy is a very easy ask for me.
About: I've had multiple pet sitting jobs over the years, ranging from in house stays to drop in visits with dogs of all age ranges & energy levels! Although I didn't grow up with cats personally, I have plenty of experience taking care of and socializing them. I'm available at all hours to take care of your pets! I would be able to drop in at any time to care for and spend time with them. I grew up with a Husky/German shepherd mix and currently have a golden doodle! I've taken care of dogs of many different personalities, ages and energy levels as well. I love doing whatever I can to make your pet as happy and comfortable as possible.
“Dion was excellent! She was caring, she was thrilled to meet our dog, Kohana, she was punctual and highly responsible. She asked all the right questions and went above and beyond in every respect. We would recommend her highly! We will definitely reach out to her in the future.”

I'm also available for early morning and late night hours if needed. I am available for repeat dog walks every day or drop ins, I also do house sitting I can easily crate dogs if needed and can lift and restrain heavier dogs. I'm also very active and am able to take pets for long walks and can take a lot of rough housing
“Natalia went out of her way to keep me informed about her walks with my pup. She also went above and beyond to make sure she knew as much as possible beforehand so they would start off on the right paw! Highly recommend!”

“This was my first time using the service and I was amazed by Katherine!! She took care of my baby boy so well, she was caring and loving! 🥰 just exactly what I needed. I truly recommend her services. She walked my boy for 3 days and also my last day I had some inconvenience in which she agreed to take Halo to her home and I had the privilege of enjoyed the sitter over night. She took everything she needed for his care, Halo loved playing with Pollito and being with them!!! I had the most wonderful and amazing experience with her!!! When you need a trusted person to take care of your fur baby Katherine is the one!! Thank you so much!!!”

“Kevin showed up on time and gave me great peace of mind because my dog seemed really happy when I came home and I felt like they were in great hands. He communicates well and followed up with me with any questions I had.”

“Shawna is so amazing and patient with my very shy dog. He was in love with her after only meeting her twice. I was surprised how quick she got him to warm up. She has been extremely reliably over the past 3 months of walking Apollo, and had never missed a day. She is a total lifesaver for me and my dog. I feel very fortunate to have come across her here on Rover!”

“Rachel was a truly outstanding dog walker! She treated my dog as if it were her own, and constantly went above and beyond. If I could I would rate her it would be 10/10 stars. Rachel was always on time, patient with my dog, and gave her a great walk every day! My dog can be very energetic, and a handful. Rachel handled her like a pro, and always gave me daily updates. She always said the good and bad things which would happen on the walks, and would share lots of photos! I appreciated the feedback, especially since it was so hard leaving my dog. Rachel would constantly go above and beyond to make sure my dog had the best care and walk she could give, even taking her on extra long walks for free just because she loved walking dogs so much. Overall, Rachel is a phenomenal dog walker and I would trust her with my dog any day.”

About: Hi, my name is Shandara. I live in Roxborough and I have a Standard poodle named Biscotti. Biscotti and I love to go on long walks and explore the neighborhood. If you live in the area, you’ve probably seen us around! Biscotti is so adorable and we love to try fun haircuts, so he tends to attract a lot of attention. I’ve taken care of pets since I was a child. Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, and fish. I’ve had my own dog now for 5 years and I’ve been trusted by many family members and friends to care for their pets. Having a fur baby myself, I understand the struggle and anxiety that come with needing to find the right care. We all hope for someone responsible and loving who will make our pet feel right at home. My hope is to be that person for you. My goal is to provide exceptional care so you can enjoy your time away knowing that your loved one is in good hands. I recently left my 9-5 in Investment Operations to pursue my dreams of working for myself. I’m home all day, every day of the week, so I have plenty of availability to care for your fur baby. Finding the right caretaker is an investment and you can rest assured you’re making the right decision with me! I have a small fenced in yard and one friendly dog who would be happy to keep your fur baby company. I’m happy to work with you to ensure your pet is safe & happy whether in your home or mine. Safety is a priority so pets are never left together unsupervised.
About: Having grown up with dogs and cats (...and a couple birds and a hedgehog), and working in pet care/pet sitting on and off for about 12 years I've seen and known a lot of weird, wonderful, sweet, and silly pets. I think my attention to detail sets me apart. I want to know what keeps your fur babies calm & happy. I want to know what stresses them out so we can steer clear: whether it's the sound of skateboards or rolling suitcases, fellow wildlife, or even people. I'm ready to redirect your nearly perfect pet away from their favorite forbidden roadside snack. I also have experience administering medications. I look forward to working with you! I currently do pet care and pet sitting part time and some other gig work (varies from week to week) while I look for other full-time work. I aim to mimic your pets lifestyle when they're in my care to make things as comfortable as possible for them. We're gonna cuddle, we're gonna play!

Gianna is a true gem!!! I used her today to walk Bear and Bailee and I couldn’t be more pleased. She was punctual, followed all instructions to the letter communicated thoroughly, provided detailed information and explanations and provided pictures. There’s nothing more I could’ve asked for! I have found the perfect dog walker for Bear and Bailee! Thanks Gianna!

Gwynne is everything you could hope for in a dog walker. She walked Lori and Tully and was wonderful with both of them. She is patient, kind, and genuinely a good person, the kind you immediately trust with your dogs. She is also incredibly considerate and detail oriented, never missing a thing and always going the extra step to make sure the pups were happy, safe, and well cared for. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Collette is an outstanding dog walker. Our puppy is a rescue that has gone through hard times. So, he does not take easily to new people. But, with Collette, he immediately bonded with her and truly enjoys being with her. Collette has a great personality and she genuinely loves animals. Our puppy easily sees that and now enjoys his walks with her. We are very happy to have found Collette and plan on working with her continuously in the future.

Kristina did a wonderful job caring for Milo. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly very caring with animals. I felt comfortable knowing Milo was in good hands, and I could tell my dog enjoyed the walks and time with her. She was professional, communicative, and went above and beyond. I highly recommend Kristina to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker!

We started our walks recently with Christel and from our first meeting, I knew our dog Zoey was in good hands. She has great vibrant energy, calm, easygoing and puts a lot of love and care into her work. Zoey tried to leave with her after our meet and greet 😂 that spoke volumes! Christel has been great to work with and looking forward to continuing to work with her regularly.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
