Helena was the best! She took such great care of our dog all weekend long. I was not worried about him at all and that’s the best feeling having someone you’re comfortable with!

About: I have always had at least one cat my whole life and since I was 10 years old, one (to several) dogs. Spending time with my dogs and husband is my favorite activity. I also have experience with guinea pigs, hamsters, and turtles. I work a full-time job from home and I am able to make my own schedule, I just need some heads up to accommodate a schedule change. I love my full time job, however, it is a desk job and I am really looking to get out more and would love to enjoy some walks with your dog! I am happy to do a meet and greet so that both you and your pup can feel comfortable with me and I know all of the important details to keep them safe and happy.

I booked Wojciech for a drop in visit with my dog Crew. He came over to meet Crew a couple of days before the drop in visit date. They got along great. On the date of the visit he notified me that he was there and everything was fine. He sent me pictures of Crew and he looked happy. I will definitely be booking with Wojciech again!

About: I’ve been pet sitting for 3 years and I also work at a doggy day care. I’m very comfortable and experienced with handling a lot of dogs at once, as well as different sizes, ages, breeds and temperaments. I also have experience caring for sick or injured dogs. On top of dogs, I have experience caring for cats, birds and reptiles. I am currently finishing my psychology degree, and then moving on to my veterinary technician degree. My dream is to work with animals, and I’m eager for more experience to grow my resume! I work Tuesday-Friday, with Thursday and Friday being my longer shifts (8 hours). If your dog is okay being alone for that period of time, or if you only need me for one night, I am completely willing to board those nights! If not, I am completely available the whole day Saturday-Monday. Most of my dog sitting experience has been dog and house sitting in the clients home. I am a very clean and respectful guest, and I feel being at home makes it easier on the dogs when their parents are gone. Being in an unfamiliar place with a person they don’t know can be stressful, overstimulating and anxiety inducing for many dogs. My biggest priority is not only the safety and health but the happiness of the dogs I watch.

About: We (my 12 yr old) and I are looking to play with and care for your dog and/or cats. We can only be honorary pup parents for now. We used to have a beagle mix and now we have two very shy but friendly kitties. They are scared of most humans and haven't interacted with any dogs. I can't care for other animals in my home but I'm a very tidy sitter if you invite me to stay at your home. My daughter and I love all animals and nature. In our free time we visit: friends, farms, zoos, arboretums, hiking trails, the beach, crafting spaces....and soon hopefully your sweet pet! I work from home and set my own schedule so it is easy for me to make time during the day for your pets. Generally, my cats are my coworkers who sit on my lap while I'm completing video meetings. I am often free to help you on weekends. I will follow any care guidelines you set. I love walking dogs around the neighborhood and beyond. I adhere to your diet plan for your pets. I frequently get affectionate with any dogs and cats that allow it. I respect their space and earn their trust by giving them time to be near me before attempting to lead and love on them. Granted, I hope they eventually let me pet and rub them. I frequently talk to them. I'm comfortable with being on camera if that's how your home is set up.

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for pets through my own animals and by helping care for others’ pets. I am the owner of two cats and two dogs, and I’m experienced with daily feeding routines, walks, playtime, litter box care, basic grooming, and monitoring behavior and health. I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets at once and understand the importance of consistency, patience, and attention to each pet’s individual needs. I have extensive experience caring for both cats and dogs, including large breeds such as German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers, as well as small and medium-sized dogs. I previously owned two German Shepherds and currently help care for a Bichon Poodle, Labradoodle, and Standard Poodle. I have also cared for dogs with special needs, including a deaf dog and a dog with seizures, and I am comfortable administering oral medications, whether mixed with food or given directly. I also have experience caring for a dog from a puppy mill background who required extra patience and gentle support to come out of their shell. I prioritize creating a calm, loving environment where pets feel safe, supported, and cared for. I treat every pet like family and always focus on their comfort, safety, and happiness. I currently work full time, but pet care is a regular part of my daily routine as I care for two cats and two dogs of my own. I am available on weekends and on select weekdays, and during those times I am able to dedicate focused, quality time to feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. I’m intentional about scheduling so that pets in my care receive consistent attention, exercise, and affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I carefully follow all care instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, and preferences. I provide regular potty breaks, playtime, exercise, and affectionate attention while ensuring their environment stays clean and safe. I closely monitor pets for changes in behavior or health, and I’m comfortable caring for pets with special needs, including administering oral medications. I prioritize a calm, secure, and loving environment so pets feel comfortable, supported, and at ease, whether they are in their own home or mine.

About: I’ve loved animals ever since I was little, especially dogs. I never had one growing up, but would watch, walk, and feed others’, such as my neighbor’s and grandparents. Since my cat passed away, I have been looking to get a job working with animals. I promise to give your pet a great time and a new friend! I just graduated college May ‘26 and have a few part-time jobs over the summer. I typically have afternoons free, but it varies week by week! Watching your pet is a great way for me to stay active and help others :) I would prefer to watch your furry friends in their own house, seeing as I have many younger siblings, parents with allergies, and not much space for pets to run around. I am very used to minding for the safety of little children, so I will be sure your pet and your home stays well-protected!

About: I have been working at a dog boarding and daycare center in Virginia throughout college because of the happiness dogs bring me! I’ve had small dogs my entire life so I’ve learned about how to handle dog reactive dogs safely and securely! I’m currently on summer break, so I am able to work around most schedules for the next couple weeks. I try to stay healthy so walking dogs is a plus! I have a large backyard (unfenced so I would not let the dogs off leash) and one very nice toy poodle who just likes everyone.

She's been thoughtful in suggesting ideas to help Toffee be more comfortable alone (she's not used to my schedule of going back to the office a few days a week yet). I appreciate the ease of mind she provides when I can't be home with my cutie.

I have worked with a variety of breeds and sizes and love getting to know the personality of each dog! I look forward to getting to know your dog and thank you for reading a little bit about me! Currently, I am available in the evenings after work at 5:30pm and on weekends for walking. I am available on weekends for boarding, this can be from Thursday to Sunday as I work remote on Friday’s. We appreciate Oliver so much. He sent a notification at the beginning and end of every walk, along with photos. He noticed that our guinea pigs didn't have a water bottle, and wrote to make sure this was intentional. He is detail oriented and caring.

They absolutely adore her, and it gives me so much peace of mind knowing they’re happy, loved, and well cared for when I can’t be there. It’s hard to find someone you can truly trust with your pets, and she has exceeded my expectations every time. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate pet sitter. Dion took fantastic care of our cat and dog when dropping in for a walk, or playtime, or putting them to bed! My wife and I loved getting her notes and photos with each Drop-In visit and we could tell the pets both loved her care (although our cat needed a few visits to warm up). I would recommend Dion to any and all of my friends for any pet sitting needs!

Natalia was amazing. Our dog Wicket was well taken care of. He can be a needy-pity and he took right to her. She came over multiple times a day, while we were away. They played inside and outside. She even sat with him on the couch like we do because he’s a 75 pound lap dog. Natalia even read to him. He was a happy pup while we were away. She was great with communication. Tons of stories and pictures. Do not hesitate to reach out to her. She went above and beyond for our boy!!!

Dabney has been so good with our dog. We were in a desperate situation for an all-day thing away from home and we communicated with Dabney just the evening before, late, and she was able to come two times that Saturday to walk our 1yo puppy. We've used her ever since and she's been wonderful. On time, reliable, and good with our dog. Highly recommend Dabney for Bryn Mawr-area dogsitting!

Gizmo can be a bit aggressive, but Amir managed him calmly and confidently, earning his trust. Both dogs were walked, fed, and given bathroom breaks exactly as scheduled and instructed. Amir sent clear updates with photos after each visit. He’s reliable, patient, and skilled with different temperaments—Amir is the kind of sitter you can count on every time. Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Ardmore stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ardmore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Ardmore with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ardmore. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
