“Rhea and her husband took excellent care of my dog Benny. She sent updates/photos so I knew how he was doing and could have peace of mind knowing that he was being treated so well and was happy staying with them!”

“Alex and her family were very welcoming. I like that they did a meet and greet just to ensure that my dog would be a good fit for them to take care of. My dog was very excited to be with them and they took great care of him. I received updates and pictures during his stay. I am grateful to them to be able to enjoy my vacation and know that my precious Goose was in great hands. I am appreciative and grateful for such wonderful service.”

“Christin was great with Santos! He seemed so happy to be there. It was apparent that she is a natural dog lover who appreciates different canine personalities. She cared for him during the most trying times of doing so with any dog, involving historic cold weather. And went above and beyond the duty of just 'watching him'. Communication was great and I will not hesitate to use her again”

“Amy was fantastic - we instantly felt comfortable with her husband and her (and, more importantly, so did the dog!). She was very detail oriented, sent pictures throughout Champ's short stay and made sure Champ got plenty of exercise. I also appreciated her policy not to take multiple dogs at once. We will definitely be repeating with Amy - the whole experience was great!”

“Our dogs had a great holiday stay with Emilie! She took wonderful care of them, they were happy, safe and calm with her. I appreciated the frequent updates and photos as we really missed them while we were away. Emilie was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend her!”

“Rachel was fantastic! Bean, who can be a little nervous at first, warmed up to her immediately. Rachel was very communicative and send lots of photos - it looked like they had a great weekend! Will definitely use her again!”

“Rebecca was absolutely wonderful! I was fully confident in leaving Mousse with her after doing an initial meet and greet. It was very clear that Rebecca has a good sense of how dogs are and what they need. She was careful to point out that her stairway was sometimes a challenge for dogs and that it was important to make sure Mousse would be ok navigating them... and she'd thought out where to place the crate in her apartment so it wasn't in the sun. She sent regular check ins and Mousse was clearly having a great time in all the pictures :) In addition, Rebecca was very flexible and understanding when we were stuck in traffic and needed to delay pick up by a few hours. We hope to add Rebecca to our regular rotation of Rover sitters!”
“Bryce was fantastic! Teddy loved being there and will still try to go into the house any time we walk past, which I take as a great sign! Will 100% be booking again when needed.”

“Jen was fantastic. It was our first time leaving our pup for an extended period of time and Jen made sure to give us an update every day with pictures. She was an excellent communicator before and during our scheduled trip. She was super flexible about our pick up and drop off times since we were on the road and didn't have a firm time, which made us able to travel with ease! Her home is a wonderful home for animals of all kinds and your pup will be well cared for and in for a fun time with her two lovely dogs. We highly recommend Jen and will leave our dog with her again without hesitation.”

“Juliana and her family embraced Aiden like one of their own. He was surrounded by love, constant attention, and she went above and beyond to make us feel secure and kept him safe. She kept in constant contact throughout the day with photo updates as well. I will work with Juliana EVERY single time as there is no one better who will value and love your pup as much she does!”

“Kristina was awesome! She sent daily updates and pictures which I really appreciated, took Mika on daily walks, and really made me feel like she gave her special attention and care! We look forward to using Kristina in the future!”

“Zenith cared for my dog from February 19–22, and I am so grateful for her. From the start, her communication was thoughtful and consistent. She sent sweet updates, photos, and videos that truly put my heart at ease. It was clear she treated him with genuine love and care, just like I would. I never once worried while I was away. I would happily book with her again and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone special to care for their pup.”

“This was my first time leaving my dog, Aldo, for such a long period, so I was honestly a bit nervous at first. The first couple of days were the hardest for me, and I found myself checking in often. Donte was very understanding and kept me updated, which really helped. After the first few days, I started receiving regular videos, pictures, and even video calls, and that made a huge difference. I could see Aldo was not just okay, he was actually having a great time. He’s normally the only dog at home, but during his stay, he had other dogs to interact with and played and enjoyed himself. It honestly felt like he was the one on vacation, not me. Aldo is a 12-year-old senior dog and can be a picky eater, so I was concerned about how he would adjust. Donte was very patient with him and made sure he was comfortable. When I picked him up, Aldo was completely himself, calm, normal, and clearly well taken care of. That meant a lot to me. I also really appreciated the home environment. There were always people around, which helped Aldo feel more at ease since he’s used to that at home. Overall, I’m very grateful for the care and attention Aldo received. You can tell Donte genuinely cares about the dogs he watches. I would definitely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Junebug is well loved and taken care of at Nicole's house! Our dog is a high energy puppy and was in very good hands as Nicole is an experienced dog lover, and even helped Junebug learn to calm down a little better in the evenings. She came back acting more mature than when we dropped her off:) ”

“Tamikia did an amazing job taking care of my pup while I was gone! She provided lots of pictures/updates and made me feel at ease. I would definitely book with her again :)”

“Eric and Raz were wonderful!! We felt so comfortable leaving our pup with them. Highly recommend and hope to use them again the next time we’re in Philly!”

“I cannot speak highly enough of my expirience with Mel and Shilohs stay. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. I received updates and photos of my dog while I was gone and saw how much fun ahe was having. Mel was a great help and I will plan to use her in the future!”

“I highly recommend Maria for pet sitting! She took care of my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy over the Fourth of July weekend and did an awesome job and he seemed very comfortable with her and her partner. She also sent videos of him a few times while I was away. I highly recommend her!”

Brooke went above and beyond with our Phoebe! She took Phoebe on so many adventures and I knew she was having a great time. Brooke provided ample photos throughout her stay. Phoebe and Mochi got along really well. We would definitely have Brooke care for Phoebe in a future stay!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
