About: -I’ve had a cat of my own for a couple of years but have grown up around dogs - I work from home so I have a flexible schedule for walks and playtime - I love taking cute and silly photos of your furbaby I work from home full-time so I have flexibility. My typical availability is 7am-10am and 3pm-8pm during weekdays, with the ability to do shorter checkins and walks during the typical 9am-5pm. I have a senior cat that likes dogs (not so much other cats). We have grass right outside our apartment and it’s an easy walk to Clark Park.

About: I have experience caring for senior dogs and understand how important patience, consistency, and extra attention can be for older pups. While living in Austin, Texas, I cared for a senior dog while his family was away on vacation and stayed in their home to make sure he was comfortable, safe, and well cared for throughout their trip. Caring for him has taught me to pay close attention to a dog's routine, personality, comfort, and individual needs. I know that leaving your pet with someone else can be difficult, so I always strive to provide loving, reliable care and keep pet parents updated with photos and messages while they are away. I’m available for dog walks on weekdays, with the most flexibility on Mondays and Wednesdays, especially in the early morning. On weekends, I’m available for overnight pet sitting. Depending on the situation, I can either care for your pet in my home or stay at your home if that works best for you. I’m also happy to discuss whether your dog would be comfortable staying with my senior dog, Logan. I’m flexible and will do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine and your schedule. During walks, I always use safe routes, keep pets secure on their leash, and pay close attention to their surroundings. During drop-in visits or overnight stays, I make sure pets have fresh water, food, bathroom breaks, exercise, and plenty of attention. When caring for a pet in their home, I treat the home with the same respect and care I would give my own. I keep the environment clean and follow the pet parent’s instructions carefully. I also believe communication is an important part of building trust. I’ll send regular updates, photos, and messages so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

About: I've had dogs since the day I was born from large to small. He loves visitors and company! I have raised, trained and bred dogs in my past. I now live a slow life with my 10 year old shih tzu Dexter. He is kind, chill and loves company. We are always in the city and love other dogs, walks and parks. I am a highschool teacher. We go on walks every morning around 6:15am. When I return around 3pm we go on another extended walk to the park. When returning from the walk we have dinner and relax. Then we take one more evening walk right before bed. The weekends entail 3 walks daily and lots of cuddle time. When pets stay in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved, just like they would with their own family. I love giving pets plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and snuggles while keeping them on their usual routines as much as possible. This was probably the best boarding experience I’ve ever had on Rover. Anjoli was incredibly thoughtful and kind. She definitely went over-the-top with making sure my dog had a wonderful stay. She kept my dog active, took her on many walks / to the park, and played with her. My dog didn’t want to leave when I picked her up 🥲
Becky was wonderful with our American Foxhound, who had gone through a highly stressful move just a month prior to our trip and had never been boarded before. The regular daily updates Becky provided—including an additional check-in on the first day to let us know how our dog was settling in—were detailed and included plentiful photos and videos reassuring us that she was comfortable and receiving all the attention, exercise, and mental stimulation she needed. Critically, Becky did not attempt to placate us by omitting minor negative details, such as the fact that our dog was uninterested in her food at first. Becky's honesty about facets of our dog's stay that were less than perfect (through no fault of the sitter; our dog skips meals sometimes even at home) fostered our trust in her. If she had told an unrealistic tale of our dog having a perfect first day without a hint of nervousness, it would have sparked some concerns about transparency and integrity. It was a relief to have no such worries about Becky while we were out of state. I'd also like to add something that may seem a bit tangential at first glance, but that I feel is highly relevant. I was also a walker and sitter for several years, and as a result of my many conversations with pet owners regarding certain negative experiences with sitters, along with my own personal interactions with a few of my fellow pet-care professionals, I am now extremely discerning when it comes to evaluating sitters for my or my loved ones' pets. Some pet owners may be more laid-back about choosing a sitter or boarding facility, and that is certainly their prerogative, but I have learned that not all care and safety practices I consider to be of utmost importance to ensure pets' safety and comfort after years in this line of work are not universally recognized as being among sitters as being critical, making finding a sitter a challenge for me. But when I met Becky and we discussed how she cares for her boarders, I was incredibly relieved to feel I had found someone we could trust with our dog, as she clearly knows what she is doing in this line of work. Before I even asked, she detailed how she implements several essential safety standards that I rarely hear home boarders address or even answer adequately when prompted. Becky was able to demonstrate that she had appropriate setups and protocols to protect all dogs in her care (e.g., the ability to separate and rotate dogs that may not get along), and she detailed rational, uniformly applied protocols she maintained to prevent unnecessary hazards (e.g., providing meals and any high-value treats to each dog separately, even if none of the dogs present have exhibited food aggression or resource guarding in the past). Becky’s cautiousness in these matters did not go unnoticed by us. While love for and experience with dogs are absolute musts for any dog sitter, the erroneous belief that these characteristics alone are sufficient to truly qualify a sitter puts pets at risk, and, rarely, can have grave consequences. A great sitter, as we found Becky to be, anticipates and plans how they will mitigate dangers; preempts issues before they occur; and has the experience, maturity, and sense of responsibility to handle unexpected issues or emergencies. As anyone who even skimmed this monologue may infer, it is exceptionally uncommon for me to encounter a sitter who meets my expectations, so I am delighted to be able to report that Becky actually exceeded them. By paying attention to the details that matter, adhering to established best practices in boarding, exuding competence and reliability, consistently providing clear and timely communication, and demonstrating a real knack for caring for dogs, she has truly won us over. Next time I need a sitter, Becky will absolutely be my first choice!
We are so glad we found Shayla!! She provided such a calm, welcoming, home -like environment for our two dogs, which was exactly what we hoped for. She took the time to ask thoughtful, detailed questions about their routines, food, and individual care needs, and our dogs felt right at home with her. Rhea was an incredible sitter for our pup Arthur! She was very communicative, sent lots of photos throughout the stay, and Arthur got along well with her dog. Rhea was also SUPER flexible, not only accepting our booking quite last minute - but also, as our travel plans changed due to a delayed flight, she was more than willing to care for Arthur an additional night!
