“I am so thrilled to have met Yuiko. My dog, Luna, stayed with her for doggy day care earlier in the year. Yuiko took wonderful care of her. This time she stayed overnight for 4 nights. Yuiko sent me pictures showing me how happy Luna was! When I picked Luna up, she was thrilled to see me but was in no rush to leave Yuiko and her very loving family!”

“Jennifer and family continue to be our go to. Lovely people and pets. Bert always feels at home and I know he is treated like family. Jennifer is great with updates and pictures which mean a lot when I am away ❤️🐾”

“Kiara was so responsive and so accommodating. Our dog is old and has a lot of particular needs, and after a last minute cancellation we were left in a pinch without a sitter. Kiara took the time to quickly schedule time with us to meet so she could get to know our dog before our trip, and each day while we were gone we got so many updates of what a wonderful time he was having. We’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Rhea continues to provide Nova with the best care possible. I always feel comfortable leaving my pup with her. She is incredibly attentive and provides detailed updates throughout Nova’s stay. Couldn’t recommend more!!”

“Harper had a great time! Lexi sent frequent updates and took great care of Harper while we were out of town. They have a great yard and home for dogs. You can tell they give lots of love to the animals.”

“Zuzu had a great stay. She was comfortable and had fun going for walks. Getting the pictures and updates was reassuring and let us know she was doing well. Zuzu loves to stay with Andrew and Uklu and will be back again soon!”

“Exceptional service! Couldn’t have asked for more. Ryan and his family do love dogs and go the extra mile for them to be happy during their stay. Our JRT had the time of his life at Ryan’s. If he is available we will definitely rebook. Never been happier with a Rover sitter. Wonderful job.”

“Rachel was a fantastic pet sitter for our frenchie Josie. She was so attentive, kind, understanding and thoughtful. Josie was welcomed and felt right at home immediately. I would recommend Rachel to anyone who needs exceptional care for their dog.”

“I highly recommend Maria for pet sitting! She took care of my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy over the Fourth of July weekend and did an awesome job and he seemed very comfortable with her and her partner. She also sent videos of him a few times while I was away. I highly recommend her!”

“Christina was amazing and took such great care of our dog Clementine! She sent us daily updates and pictures which we really appreciated. We will definitely book with her in the future!”

“Chazz is amazing! My 2 dogs are not the easiest to deal but he was able to calm them down 5 mins after meeting them. I appreciate him sending me updates without us asking for it. Shoyu and Maki just got back from their vacation with him and seemed to have the best time. They are now having the best nap too lol This was our first time using this platform and I also based my booking from the previous reviews about him. You can tell that he is in the industry for a while now and is very experienced with different kinds/breeds of dogs. We will be asking him to take care of our babies when we go for future trips. Thanks again, Chazz!”

“Danielle is absolutely wonderful! She and her husband are clearly thoughtful, kind people and their dog is such a sweetheart! Danielle arranged for my dog, Pepper, to come out and meet them and check out their house before her stay. During the weekend Pepper was with them Danielle kept in contact and sent me photos which completely put my mind at ease. I absolutely would recommend Danielle for any of your pet boarding/pet sitting needs and I’m sure Pepper will be back in the future!”

“Kristina was awesome! She sent daily updates and pictures which I really appreciated, took Mika on daily walks, and really made me feel like she gave her special attention and care! We look forward to using Kristina in the future!”

“Phenomenal dog sitter. I boarded my two dogs with Jeffrey for Christmas week. He provided updates and pictures each day in a consistent and clear manner. He took great care of my dogs, and my dogs always have fun with Jeffrey's dog, Lily. I will continue to hire Jeffrey as my main dog sitter for as long as possible.”

“Mike was great with Maverick! Mike settled all our nerves about leaving Maverick during the meet-n-greet and then during Maverick’s stay, Mike sent daily updates with cute photos. Maverick was in great spirits when we picked him up. We will definitely have Maverick stay with Mike and his sweet pack soon!”

“What an amazing boarding experience! Mirit and Shava took wonderful care of my Khali. They sent pictures and updates which provided peace of mind and also showed me how happy Khali was in their home. I absolutely will book again. Highly recommend!!!”

“Juliana was truly a godsend, I can’t imagine leaving Milton with anyone else, she took amazing care of him, sent us photos and updates everyday and truly made it feel like he was staying with extended family ❤️ she treated him like one of her own dogs and we will absolutely be using her for all of our future trips!”

“Jasmine was the best dog sitter I could have asked for. She was very communicative, checking in often and sent plenty of photos while she had him for a few nights. I really felt like my dog was in great hands and I would absolutely use her services again. Thank you Jasmine!”

“Enes and Stephanie took great care of my little one during his first in home boarding experience. They made sure that my little one was comfortable and safe. Great communication while I was away sent an abundance of updated photos and treated my little one like he was a part of their family. I will definitely”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Miquon
Becky was wonderful with our American Foxhound, who had gone through a highly stressful move just a month prior to our trip and had never been boarded before. The regular daily updates Becky provided—including an additional check-in on the first day to let us know how our dog was settling in—were detailed and included plentiful photos and videos reassuring us that she was comfortable and receiving all the attention, exercise, and mental stimulation she needed. Critically, Becky did not attempt to placate us by omitting minor negative details, such as the fact that our dog was uninterested in her food at first. Becky's honesty about facets of our dog's stay that were less than perfect (through no fault of the sitter; our dog skips meals sometimes even at home) fostered our trust in her. If she had told an unrealistic tale of our dog having a perfect first day without a hint of nervousness, it would have sparked some concerns about transparency and integrity. It was a relief to have no such worries about Becky while we were out of state. I'd also like to add something that may seem a bit tangential at first glance, but that I feel is highly relevant. I was also a walker and sitter for several years, and as a result of my many conversations with pet owners regarding certain negative experiences with sitters, along with my own personal interactions with a few of my fellow pet-care professionals, I am now extremely discerning when it comes to evaluating sitters for my or my loved ones' pets. Some pet owners may be more laid-back about choosing a sitter or boarding facility, and that is certainly their prerogative, but I have learned that not all care and safety practices I consider to be of utmost importance to ensure pets' safety and comfort after years in this line of work are not universally recognized as being among sitters as being critical, making finding a sitter a challenge for me. But when I met Becky and we discussed how she cares for her boarders, I was incredibly relieved to feel I had found someone we could trust with our dog, as she clearly knows what she is doing in this line of work. Before I even asked, she detailed how she implements several essential safety standards that I rarely hear home boarders address or even answer adequately when prompted. Becky was able to demonstrate that she had appropriate setups and protocols to protect all dogs in her care (e.g., the ability to separate and rotate dogs that may not get along), and she detailed rational, uniformly applied protocols she maintained to prevent unnecessary hazards (e.g., providing meals and any high-value treats to each dog separately, even if none of the dogs present have exhibited food aggression or resource guarding in the past). Becky’s cautiousness in these matters did not go unnoticed by us. While love for and experience with dogs are absolute musts for any dog sitter, the erroneous belief that these characteristics alone are sufficient to truly qualify a sitter puts pets at risk, and, rarely, can have grave consequences. A great sitter, as we found Becky to be, anticipates and plans how they will mitigate dangers; preempts issues before they occur; and has the experience, maturity, and sense of responsibility to handle unexpected issues or emergencies. As anyone who even skimmed this monologue may infer, it is exceptionally uncommon for me to encounter a sitter who meets my expectations, so I am delighted to be able to report that Becky actually exceeded them. By paying attention to the details that matter, adhering to established best practices in boarding, exuding competence and reliability, consistently providing clear and timely communication, and demonstrating a real knack for caring for dogs, she has truly won us over. Next time I need a sitter, Becky will absolutely be my first choice!

Edward and his lovely family took such amazing care of Ivory, I feel so fortunate that I found them! They have a beautiful home with a spacious and well-kept fenced yard. Ivory loved getting to know the chickens! She was so happy and loved during her stay, I will definitely be calling on Edward and Jenn in the future.

Sabrina and her family were great at taking care of our 12 yo Bailey dog! We’ve never left her with a pet sitter before and so this was a new experience, but we received photos and reports almost every day and it was clear that Bailey was having a good time! We heartily recommend Sabrina!!!

10 STARS, Chris & Gab are amazing.!! Communication from start to finish was well above my expectation, which made me feel comfortable leaving my precious little girl in their care. Photo updates (great shots!) were also plentiful. Their location/home is perfect for any pup, and they're well prepared with toys and bowls to help make my life easier when I pack for my pups stay with them. I have another booking with Gab/Chris in the near future and I feel stress free knowing Savannah with be in their care!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Miquon home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Miquon.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Miquon sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
