About: Hi! I'm Alexis, and I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pet. Whether I'm stopping by for a walk, keeping your cat company while you're away, or staying overnight in your home, my goal is always the same - to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you're gone. I've been around animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from energetic huskies to laid-back pugs and cocker spaniels. I also have years of experience caring for cats and understand that every pet has their own unique routine and personality. Outside of Rover, I work full-time in a leadership role where reliability, communication, and attention to detail are essential every day. You can count on me to follow your instructions carefully, keep your home secure, arrive when expected, and treat your pets like family. You'll receive regular photo updates and messages during every visit, so you'll always know how your pet is doing. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! I currently work full-time during the day, which makes me a great fit for afternoon and evening drop-in visits, dog walks, and overnight house sitting. I keep my calendar up to date and always communicate promptly, so you'll know exactly when to expect me. Reliability is important to me, and I strive to provide dependable care that fits seamlessly into your pet's routine. When caring for pets in your home, my priority is making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and supported in their normal routine. I follow your instructions closely and treat your home with the same respect I would my own. I also understand that every pet is different. Whether your dog thrives on long walks or your cat prefers quiet companionship, I adjust my care to fit their personality and routine.

About: I grew up with cats and a dog, so pets have always been a part of my life. As my childhood dog aged, I helped care for her varied needs as she developed some hip and bladder problems, so I am used to caring for animals of all ages. I also have taken care of rodents, lizards, chickens, etc. so I am very well versed and love every animal! Every animal is different so I am very flexible and happy to fit to you and your pets routine! I am home for the summer from college so I am working part time as a lifeguard, but have a lot of time on my hands so I am looking for some pets to care for! I have a lot of flexibility both weekends and week days. I am able to come early and late hours as well! I have my own cat named Noodle at home, so pet care is already a part of my daily life. I believe that pets are family, and so much time and care is needed for them. I totally understand having a busy schedule, so I am happy to help out wherever needed!

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including overnight stays, drop-in visits, dog walking, feeding routines, playtime, litter box care, and administering medications. I’ve cared for pets with a variety of personalities and needs — from energetic dogs who need extra exercise to shy cats who need patience and time to feel comfortable. For many years, I provided in-home pet sitting, including staying overnight in clients’ homes and maintaining pets’ normal routines while their owners were away. I currently have two long-term clients whose homes I continue to stay in regularly, but now that I have my own pet at home, I am focusing on drop-in visits and walks for new clients. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while keeping their routines as consistent as possible. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and your home, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule as a personal trainer. I often have breaks throughout the day that allow me to provide midday walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with pets while their owners are away. I’m already used to building my schedule around the needs of others, whether that’s my clients or their pets, and I love having animals as part of my day. Outside of work, I’m an active person who enjoys running and spending time outdoors, so I especially enjoy helping dogs get exercise and enrichment. For cats, I love taking the time to provide calm companionship, playtime, and care that keeps them comfortable in their own home. When caring for pets in your home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow your instructions closely for feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, and any special preferences your pet may have. For drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet gets quality attention — including walks, bathroom breaks, meals, fresh water, playtime, cleanup, and lots of affection. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is happy and cared for while you’re away. I understand that pets feel most comfortable in familiar surroundings, so my goal is to make your home feel like a safe, stress-free place while you’re gone.

About: All of my friend’s pets love me! It’s easy for me to match their energy and help them forget that their favorite people aren’t home, you! I currently work full time but my schedule allows for me to stop by the house twice a day. I start work at 11am in the city, so depending where you live, I usually leave for my commute around 10am. My day ends at 7pm, then I head right to your pets from there. I never leave without playtime, unless they are really shy but I’m persistent. If my schedule works for you I would love to keep your pets company. I have a baseball field down the street from me that your pets can run wild in. During the week there’s no one there in the morning and it’s fenced in. Your cat will have plenty of toys and areas to roam free in my house.

Helena did a great job taking care of our two cats for a week. She came at the agreed-upon time each day, gave them lots of love, pets, and playtime, and sent us pictures that helped us not miss them quite as much; although that’s hard, of course! We felt very comfortable knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!

About: Hi there! I’m an animal lover through and through — I grew up in a house that always had a mix of pets, from dogs and cats to smaller critters like rabbits and guinea pigs. Taking care of animals has been part of my daily routine for as long as I can remember, whether it was walking the family dog before school, cleaning cages, or just knowing how to read an animal’s mood and needs. That early experience gave me a real comfort level with all kinds of temperaments and energy levels — the goofy, high-energy pups who need a long walk to settle down, and the shier ones who just want a calm, patient presence. I know how important routine, exercise, and attention are for a dog’s well-being, and I treat every pet in my care like it’s my own. Whether you need daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight pet sitting, I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of love, exercise, and attention while you’re away. I’m reliable, communicative (expect photo updates!), and genuinely happiest when I’m around animals. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I currently work full time as a physician during the day but am available everyday after work! I can also work with you to find extra time to take care of your pets. I pay special attention to detail to ensure your pet is safe at all times. I will ensure your environment provides a safe space to take care your pets!

About: I grew up with at least 2 pets in my parents’ house at all times, whether it be dogs (currently a corgi and a pit bull as seen in my profile images) or cats, so I have accumulated a lot of pet care experience in my lifetime just from helping out while my parents worked. Additionally, I have done dog-walking and dog-sitting before for dogs of a variety of breeds and sizes! My extended family, friends, and neighbors have always trusted me as a reliable caregiver for any and all pets. I will keep a loving and safe environment for your pets, making sure they have the best time and showing them love as if they were my own! I hope you consider booking with me! :) I’m currently a part-time graduate student; I usually have about two classes a week but have a lot of spare time in the week for pet care! I live in a residential apartment in a private college campus, there is a lot of open grass and space for dogs to run around, and walking paths throughout campus great for walks!

About: Hi! I’m a local dog lover in the Bryn Mawr/Main Line area offering dog walking and in-home pet sitting. I am currently focusing on dog walking as I transition and build my business I’m transitioning into retirement, which gives me a flexible schedule and lets me focus on what I enjoy most—spending time with dogs and making sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for while you’re away or busy. I know every dog has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to get to know each one so they feel comfortable with me right away. Light check-ins, feeding, and morning potty breaks or walks for house sitting clients. ⸻ 🌤 Midday My main dog walking window in the Bryn Mawr/Main Line area. Walks are calm, unhurried, and tailored to each dog’s energy level. ⸻ 🌇 Afternoon Drop-in visits or additional walks if needed, plus companionship time for house sitting stays. ⸻ 🌙 Evening Feeding, evening walks, and making sure pets are settled and comfortable for the night. ⸻ Because I’m transitioning into retirement, I’m able to keep my schedule flexible and focus on providing consistent, attentive care without rushing. I take dogs on long walks. I do have a crate in my home, but typically if I am leaving I set up a bed and den like atmosphere in my second floor laundry room which I gate do the dog stays safe. I run an Airbnb in my third floor so while I can watch dogs in my home, in house at the dog’s home is preferable. I am extremely safety conscious and when I have dogs over I try to keep them in my sight at all times. If they love cuddling, they will get tons of cuddles from me

About: As a mother and a teacher, I have developed the fine art of caregiving. My love of animals is demonstrated not only through play and cuddles, but also by providing the routine and structure pets need in order to feel safe and secure. This balance is so important for the animals we love, as well for ourselves. I practice this balance in my own life through daily excercise, especially walking and yoga. This is another reason why I welcome walking your dog at any pace they are accustomed to or simply snuggling with him/her on your living room floor. In addition, I hold a Masters Degree in Special Education and currently tutor students privately. I am happy to provide references who can speak to my responsible work ethic and character upon your request. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved pet! My private tutoring schedule allows me to be home with your pet mornings and afternoons and I’m never gone more than 3 to 4 hours. I have a large fenced yard and a clean, contained indoor space for your pet to enjoy! When your pet spends time in my yard I will accompany them even though it is completely fenced

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Haverford stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Haverford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Haverford with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Haverford. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
