“Hope is a rock star! My kitty loves when they come to visit. I never have to worry about the little nugget and Hope sends excellent pictures and report card updates. Couldn’t recommend more!”

“First time with Casilya. Meet and greet went well and I immediately felt the compassion she has for animals. She took care of my senior blind dog so well. Love her attentiveness. She is excellent!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. I love taking care of all animals and would love the opportunity to assist with yours. I look forward to talking soon. I work a 8-5 PM in the office, so I am only available to assist with your animals outside of this time frame. So basically, i’m available after 5 PM on weekdays and most anytime on the weekends. As previously stated, I have over 30 years of experience, taking care of animals. I’m very responsible and always do my best to ensure the animal is comfortable, well fed, and taken care of.
About: I’ve spent more than 25 years caring for my own dogs and cats, and I know pets are family. I’ll treat yours with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping their routine, my goal is to help your pet feel safe, happy, and loved while giving you complete peace of mind. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you never have to wonder how they’re doing. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable care throughout the week. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, overnight care, weekend visits, or extra attention while you’re traveling, I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I’ll make sure they receive the love, exercise, and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being will always come first. With more than 25 years of caring for dogs and cats, I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. I’ll provide loving, dependable care, follow your instructions closely, and make sure your pet feels comfortable, secure, and genuinely loved. I’ll also send regular updates and photos because I know the best part of being away is knowing your best friend is doing great.
“Anna was so sweet and incredibly easy to communicate with! We weren't able to meet ahead of time, but she was so patient while our pup took some time to get comfortable with her. She sent plenty of photos which gave us so much peace of mind even though it was just a drop-in. We really appreciated the great care she gave our dog and will absolutely book with her again!”

“We just started working with Jamie and will definitely use her services again. We had to leave town unexpectedly for a family member in hospice. She eased our minds during a very difficult time. She was very reliable, our kitties loved her and she has a great personality and knows customer service. So thankful to have found her.”

“Blair was great! She sent me many photos and comments of my kitties from each visit. One of my cats is diabetic and needs two shots of insulin a day, and she did a great job! He came right to her and loved up on her!”

About: I grew up with multiple dogs in the home and loved taking them on walks and doing different types of enrichment. Needless to say not much has changed, I can’t wait to help make your pets life better and yours easier! I am currently an overnight baker so early morning walks are no problem! My sleep schedule is very flexible so accommodation during the day won’t be a problem either. While I won’t be hosting any animals in my home, communication, following rules and being on time are very important to me. I can’t wait to learn all about your animals!
“My husband and I book Samantha whenever we go out of town to watch over our two adult cats. She always does a great job with them! She plays with them, feeds them, cleans out their food bowls, and cleans out their litter box with each visit. We greatly appreciate her, her services, and will always book her whenever she is needed. If you are looking for a pet sitter, do not hesitate to book her! 10 stars all the way!”

About: I was pre-vet in college, which is where my love for dogs began. I have since been training dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes over the past 5+ years! I have handled wild ones, tame ones, spicy ones and old ones and I love them all like they’re my own! I can be very very flexible most days, sometimes, with same day availability, so don’t hesitate to ask! I’m most open every other Monday, every Friday-Sunday, but most other days, I’ve got flexibility- I am mostly a stay at home mom, so I’ll just need a little heads up to drop my kid off with a sitter 😊 I have a fenced in yard and a garage that I pull in to so when transporting, the dog is never free roaming. I always transport dogs in crash- tested crates, to be extra safe and I have a room in my home, specifically for crating and rotating dogs!
About: Hi, I’m Jillian. I currently own 2 dogs. A hound shepherd and mini dachshund beagle. Growing up we had a chocolate lab. Later on the family adopted a shepherd mix and then a husky. I also used to have an adorable little hedgehog and 2 birds. I currently work full time during the week and the occasional Saturday. Depending on distance I will be available for your pets for a mid day check in. I have experience at the Humane Society of Eastern North Carolina; walking/playing with dogs and feeding cats. I’ve also worked at an exotic animal farm (It’s a Zoo Life) taking care of the animals and assisting tours. I’m comfortable giving medications. Both of our family dogs take daily meditations as well as my hound shepherd. The husky is disabled, has had many surgeries and sometimes needs help getting around. I’m willing to pick up and drop off, bathe, walk and entertain your animals. I will also house sit, water plants or check mail if needed. I love puppies and kittens and I’m willing to stay overnight if needed. Exotic pets welcome! I currently work one full time job. Durning the week I have a break mid day. No breaks on the weekends but shorter hours. Depending on the distance of the address I can stop in on my break as well as before and after work. I like to stick to house rules of the owner. Please let me know specific things you would like me to oblige by or things to look out for. Otherwise the standard no crewing on people things only their own stuff, no getting on tables or counters, no biting, no pee/poop on furniture, etc.

About: I’ve had family pets for 15years and my own for 4 years! I know how important pets are to their owners. I’m good with routines and time management. I’ll do my best to make sure your pets are comfortable and taken care of! Hi! I’m Grace. I’ve always loved animals and enjoy being around them. This will be my full time gig for the next little while. So I’ll be able to tend to your pets anytime! Looking forward to meeting them! I’m good with routines and time management. About: I’m new to rover, but I’m anything but new to pet care! I grew up taking care of all sorts of animals — goats, ferrets, guinea pigs, lizards, you name it! And in the last ten years, I’ve unintentionally built up quite a resume with pet sitting just because of my passionate love for animals. I am many pet owners’ go-to for pet sitting because they trust me to take care of their fur babies in the exact way they would, so you can trust me too:) My husband currently provides the only source of income for us, so my goal with Rover is to turn my pet sitting hobby into a little bit of extra income for us. Since I have no other job, I am free as a bird with an open and flexible schedule! I can easily adapt to your schedule and your pets’ needs:) I can easily provide whatever is needed for your pet. Your pet can run freely inside or be crated to your preference. The only thing I can’t provide is a fenced in yard, but our yard is huge and far from neighbors, and I have a totally free schedule to walk and entertain your pet however much you’d like. If I am coming to your home, you can trust me to follow whatever directions you have. You can also trust me to never take on more pets than I can handle just for the sake of the money, because my main objective is to provide excellent care above all else! We have one medium-sized dog, but he stays with “grandma and grandpa” while I am pet sitting unless of course you request for your pet to have some company!
About: I’ve been fortunate to have the best dogs as pets since I was little. My own pets are cherished family members and I’d love to help walk your dogs and get them outside! I have an adorable rescue golden doodle and a sweet older yellow lab. I love talking them for walks and spending time outside. I currently work from 6:45 am-3:00 pm, but am available for walks after 3:00. During summer, I am available all day. My schedule will be opened up. My own pets are like my children. I take their care and keeping very seriously and have a very close relationship with their vet office. My oldest daughter is in undergrad studying veterinary science.
About: My name is Andy and I love to cat/dog sit, play and walk dogs. I grew up with cats and dogs and started taking care of neighbor’s animals while in high school. Since I do not currently have any pets, I am blessed to spend time with other animals. I look forward to meeting your furry friends. Hello, I live in Indian Trail and work in Monroe M-F 8-5 with very limited availability to walk dogs during these times. I love you walk in the evenings and can walk after6:00pm. I love cats and dogs as members of my family and no longer have fur babies of my own. I look forward to meeting your furry friends and have time to play with them and give them the love they deserve!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Matthews
Jenni was absolutely amazing. She is by far the most professional dog sitter I've used, and our pets could sense her good nature because they warmed up to her immediately! She gave us peace of mind leaving our boys alone overnight for the first time. She was flexible with our schedules, communicative, and thoughtful. We received lots of pictures, which helped me feel more at ease. I could not recommend Jenni enough as a dog sitter and we will definitely be using her services in the future!

Sarah was absolutely incredible! My situation was a little unique, but she followed all of my instructions perfectly. She kept me updated each time she was on her way to my house and was always quick to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again in the future if her schedule allows!

Laura was quick to respond and she came out to meet my fur baby and we had a good discussion to cover what was to be expected. Kai is usually nervous at first but Laura grew on him. She provided updates with every drop in which I appreciated. I would recommend Laura.

Kelly did an amazing job with drop-in visits for our dog while we were gone for a week. We could tell our dog was relaxed and having a great experience. The pictures and videos were great to view. Her communication was excellent. We will definitely be using Kelly again next time we are out of town and need a dog sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
