“We couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch our dog, Valen, while we were away! Judd went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment we met him, it was clear that he genuinely loves and understands animals. Valen took to him instantly, which gave us so much peace of mind. Judd kept us updated daily with photos, videos, and little notes about their adventures together, so we always felt connected. It was heartwarming to see Valen so happy and well cared for, whether they were out on walks, playing, or just relaxing at home. He even gave her a bath!! Judd was not only incredibly responsible and attentive to Valen’s needs, but he also left the most thoughtful gifts for our kids, which was such a thoughtful touch. We came back to a relaxed and joyful pup, and we’re so grateful for the love and care Judd provided. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like their own, look no further than Judd. We can’t recommend him highly enough!”

About: I have always had some sort of pet in my house! I grew up with dogs and cats and they were an integral part of my life! I have experience working as a dog walker and pet sitter as well as fostering for multiple animal rescues. I am also experienced in administering oral and injectable medications. I recently graduated from grad school and work from home currently. I am home all day everyday and would be happy to take care of your furry friend! I make sure my own animals are introduced to animal guests slowly and carefully. They will never not be monitored together. My personal pets are friendly, but you never know what could happen so I like to stay vigilant!
About: Hi! I'm Nicole and I was born and raised in the Charlotte area and went to Weddington for middle and high school. I left for school at NC State and NC Central to study nutrition and dietetics, and then moved to Nashville before returning to Charlotte (my favorite place to live actually!). I have been caring for pets of all sizes for years -- my parents have a 10 pounds Boston Terrier, and my fiance and I have a 100lb yellow lab and a 60 pound Aussie/Pomeranian. I also watch our neighbors chickens! I work remotely, so I am the main caretaker of all pets and I love it :) Let me know how I can help you! I work remotely according to my own schedule, which I get to create myself. I do love a good routine, but I am easily able to adjust as we go with the flow because of my job. Consistent schedules are fun and easy for me to fit into my weekly work routine, but since I work on the go, I'm able to adjust as you need! I am able to travel as needed to assist you with your pet needs. I work with high security information, so I am very aware of security measures and safety within the home. Let me know how I can assist you to ensure your comfortability, cleanliness, and consistency in pet care :)

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. I love taking care of all animals and would love the opportunity to assist with yours. I look forward to talking soon. I work a 8-5 PM in the office, so I am only available to assist with your animals outside of this time frame. So basically, i’m available after 5 PM on weekdays and most anytime on the weekends. As previously stated, I have over 30 years of experience, taking care of animals. I’m very responsible and always do my best to ensure the animal is comfortable, well fed, and taken care of.
“Monica arrived on time and was very diligent with the instructions I left. Sent me several pics of my dogs while with them. I’ll definitely be using her again when needing a Dogsitter”

“We absolutely love Samantha! My husband and I always book her whenever we travel because we know our two cats are in great hands. She takes wonderful care of them, makes sure they’re happy and doing well, and spends time playing with them and giving them attention. The peace of mind she provides while we’re away is truly priceless. We never have to worry because we know our cats are being cared for like they’re her own. Highly recommend-book her! 🐱❤️”

“Blair was great! She sent me many photos and comments of my kitties from each visit. One of my cats is diabetic and needs two shots of insulin a day, and she did a great job! He came right to her and loved up on her!”

About: Hi! I am a student and football player at Furman University. I’m a lifelong dog lover who grew up around dogs of all sizes and personalities. Caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just giving them attention and comfort. I’m reliable, patient, and committed to making sure every dog feels safe, happy, and loved while their owner is away. I’m currently home for the month of May from college. I love being active and working out is a huge part of my daily life. Throughout the month I will sporadically be doing some shadowing in the Wealth Management space. My schedule is basically wide open and I plan to fill a lot of that time by caring for pets. I’m happy to walk your dog for as long as needed, and I also enjoy doing drop-in visits. I take pride in making sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and in good hands.
About: I’ve had dogs living back home and now I have my own dog who I love and care about deeply. I’ve taken care of neighbors dogs when I lived at home by walking and feeding them. I am a Teacher who is currently off for the summer! Looking to help you take care of your furry friends while you go to work or enjoy a relaxing vacation! I have a friendly dog who would love to hang out with yours! I can also easily crate your dog if you deem that is necessary!
About: I have been taking care of family dogs and my neighbors dogs since I was 10. I also raised my puppy since she was 4 weeks old. I am currently not working so I have open availability preferably mornings and afternoons. I am willing to work around your schedule as well if needed. I have a big yard with a 6foot tall fence, so they have freedom in the backyard to play and run. I also am cautious with the animals when they are outside.
About: Please only serious inquiries! My wife and I have had dogs our whole lives (our kids, too!), and to us, they are part of our family. We live in a 2 story house with plenty of room, and a large yard for exercise, potty breaks, and fun! We walk our dog (Nash, a 7.5 year old Golden Retriever) often, and love frequently taking he and our kids (ages 11 & 16) to nearby trails and playgrounds. I am a restaurant General Manager, and my wife is a Teacher, so there are very few times throughout the week where someone isn’t home, and in the rare event no one is home, it’s only for a couple hours. Our kids have grown up with dogs, and have always spoiled them with attention and love. We’ve experienced all that dog ownership has to offer a family, from introducing our babies to our older dog, losing her, our sweet Irish Setter (Maggie), after 12 amazing years, training a brand new puppy as our children learned more about responsibility and having a furry friend, and watching our pup and kids get closer and closer as they grow. Our house is the place for your dog because they will feel loved and cared for the entire time they’re with us! My wife is a teacher (M-F basically from 7am-5pm), and I’m a restaurant operator with a varying schedule), which means during the week there are very few times when no one is home, and someone is always home on the weekends. This equates to our dog (and/or yours), having someone there with them a majority of the time. Our 16 year old also has joined in with helping out now that she also comes and goes! Our yard is not fenced in. Nash, our Golden Retriever, is able to be let out on his own now, but we also have a stake with a long run that we used for the first few years of his life, so there’s no worry about your dog running off.
“We just started working with Jamie and will definitely use her services again. We had to leave town unexpectedly for a family member in hospice. She eased our minds during a very difficult time. She was very reliable, our kitties loved her and she has a great personality and knows customer service. So thankful to have found her.”

“This was the first vacation where I felt comfortable leaving my pets! We really appreciate how much attention Elizabeth put into caring for our dog. She left great feedback about our her condition throughout the day and communicated any concerns she had immediately. My dog LOVES Elizabeth too! Halfway through our trip we began planning other ways Elizabeth could care for our dog in the future!”

About: For as long as I can remember I’ve enjoyed the company of animals over that of people. And after too many years in corporate America (tech recruiting) I’m looking to work with pets and enjoy life again. In recent years I have watched my cousins four cats, as well as friends puppies and dogs for trips and cared for my family’s labs throughout the years. My labradoodle is the best, but I am interested in creating a career where I can look after others pets. I would love to spend time with dogs and make owners feel less stress and anxiety or shame for being at work or off managing other priorities. I am in between jobs and living in Stallings / Matthews area. I find myself with a lot of extra down time, I have plenty of time to walk or check in on pets and give them the love and attention in their owner’s absence In my own home I have a fence and my doodle has access to toys, treats, water, dog beds and a healthy diet. In a clients home I would follow their instructions and care requests, I am comfortable managing pills, meals, and any other needs.
“Katherine continues to provide great care for my elderly sheltie. Sophie now knows her and greets her like family, and I know that shes in great care as well as my home during her visits. I'm confident when Katherine is in my home with Sophie all is being done to provide a great environment for her, and I know she is diligent in taking care of my home.”

About: I am a 19-year-old college student who has had dogs my entire life and truly enjoys caring for animals. In addition to caring for my own family dogs, I have regularly pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors, watching several dogs each year since high school. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities and understand the importance of maintaining their routines, providing plenty of attention, and making them feel comfortable while their owners are away. I am dependable, responsible, and will treat your pet like one of my own. I am also happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. As a college student, I maintain a flexible schedule and carefully plan my commitments to ensure pets receive the attention and care they deserve. I am available throughout the week, including many full days, and on workdays I am only scheduled in either the morning or evening, allowing me plenty of time for walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I prioritize keeping pets on their normal routines and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully, maintain a clean environment, and ensure pets have constant access to fresh water, exercise, and attention. I take the time to learn each pet’s unique personality and needs and will provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are in good hands.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who has grown up with dogs and truly can’t imagine life without them. Dogs have always been a big part of my family, and they honestly come second only to my son in my heart. I’m currently the proud dog mom of two sweet pups, a Maltipoo and a Cairn Terrier mix, who love meeting new dog friends and having playtime. Because I’m already used to the daily routine of walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and lots of cuddles, caring for dogs comes very naturally to me. I offer a safe, loving environment where your dog will be treated like part of the family. Whether your pup needs a fun walk, some company during the day, or a cozy place to stay, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and happy while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll always provide updates and photos so you can feel confident that your dog is in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I work remotely from home, which allows me to be present with the dogs throughout the day. My schedule is flexible, so I’m able to take regular walk breaks, provide playtime, and make sure your pup gets plenty of attention and care. My home is calm, clean, and dog-friendly. During the day, my two dogs free roam the house. They love lounging on the couch, looking out the window, or hanging out in my office while I work. They’re friendly and used to having a relaxed routine with lots of love and supervision. At night, my dogs sleep safely in their crates as part of their routine. I’m comfortable following whatever sleeping arrangements your dog is used to so they feel as comfortable as possible while staying with me.
“Nataly was absolutely incredible. I have a chihuahua and she’s extremely shy, but after a day she already trusted Nataly! Nataly was so patient and very communicative, I would def be using nataly’s services again in the future.”

“Kiera was great with our furry little one! She was extremely responsive and communicated often with updates and pictures and kept our home clean. She followed all directions and requests including watering our outdoor patio plants. We will definitely utilize her services again!”

“I couldn’t have been happier knowing my cats were in Kevin’s hands! He did so well with them, followed my care instructions and took lots of great pictures for me while I was away. I would definitely re-hire!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Matthews
Laura was quick to respond and she came out to meet my fur baby and we had a good discussion to cover what was to be expected. Kai is usually nervous at first but Laura grew on him. She provided updates with every drop in which I appreciated. I would recommend Laura.

Kelly did an amazing job with drop-in visits for our dog while we were gone for a week. We could tell our dog was relaxed and having a great experience. The pictures and videos were great to view. Her communication was excellent. We will definitely be using Kelly again next time we are out of town and need a dog sitter.

This was my first time using Rover so I wasn't sure what to expect. Overall, it was a good experience. Holly communicated well and sent lots of pictures during our time away. The reason for the four-star rating is that Holly's check-ins via the app didn't always match what I had signed up for (sometimes several hours later), and I believe this was likely due to her filling out the check-in at a later time, but it did cause some nervousness on my part not knowing if our dog had been fed at her regular times. Maybe that is a normal practice, but I'd suggest for the future that Holly do her check-ins while actually at the house to take away any of that uncertainty.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
